I recently came to ginsoy because I heard so many good things as well as mixed reviews so I wanted to try it for myself. The servers and staff are very friendly and the inside is clean. However, my expectations for the food were no where near met. The fried rice lacked flavor, they put minced raw chili so it overpowers every bite to the point where it wasn't enjoyable. The noodles and chicken were okay, the dynamite chicken was also good but nothing special. My main issue was the Mongolian beef, after trying it I don't even think you can call it Mongolian beef it tasted like a bad nihari (and I love nihari) the beef in it was also very odd and weird texture wise. Went to Ginsoy today, heard food is authentic so I decided to go fine dining ,decent up class restaurant , service was good , the background music was too loud , food served in twenty minutes,serving size is accordingly! But I heard the food is really tasty which is very disappointing , to be honest Chinese rice should not be made in basmati rice ( not authentic) , secondly we ordered mangolian beef which is okay along with the chilli beef which is also just okay. Only the house noodles was somewhat good. They messed up the bill full time . I can suggest they should offer plain rice along with the dishes. After hearing great reviews and seeing the hype, I finally tried this place out. It was underwhelming and mediocre at best! This is one of those places that has great ambiance but wack food. Dynamite chicken: Chicken tenders drizzled with sriracha mayo. (3/5) Beef chili dry: Looked beautiful and had a deep, rich color, but was surprisingly bland and boring, all you could taste was garlic and cilantro. Not at all like the beef chili dry you get in Pakistan. (2/5) Saucy schezwan noodles: Boiled spaghetti with sautéed cole slaw mixed in, stale stinky stench, NO taste!! (1/5) Garlic fried rice: The burnt garlic added a delicious flavor, the only thing we actually enjoyed there. The bites without garlic were bland though. (3.5/5) Overall, not worth the hype at all. Overpriced and mid food. Nothing tasted right the shezwan wontons tasted like battery acid just drenched in chili oil. Dynamite Chicken is just a tender with spicy mayo on it, and everything was way too salty. The Hot and sour soup smelled very weird but was probably the only decent item on the menu. read more

This place actually deserves no stars. Been wanting to try this place out since it opened, especially since it's always crowded with line outside of its doors. I went in to place a to-go order. I was super disappointed with everything from start when I was trying to place my order to after eating the ridiculously expensive bland food. I ordered for two ppl and was told that the non family size would be perfect size for two, however it's barely enough to feed one person (it was slightly bigger than a kids meal). I had read fantastic reviews about how spicy and delicious their food is and since we love spicy food it was a must for me to try them. I ordered the spicy shezwan chicken gravy, Roasted garlic fried rice, and American Chop Suey (ridiculously priced at $33! But I figured obviously it's gotta be the best thing in the world for it to be that expensive so I have to get it). I had asked the guy who took my order to make everything spicy. He told me "we'll text you when your order is ready, it'll take 20-25 mins" I proceed to wait. I go to the restroom which is in a narrow hallway with 2 non gender restrooms and a line of ppl waiting in the said hallway. Waited for about 10 mins with nobody coming out, so I decided it probably won't be clean anyways considering how packed the restaurant was and the lack of waitstaff and left that area. I waited another 40 mins with no texts regarding my order, I couldn't take being in a sardine can of packed ppl anymore and asked the same guy about the status. He handed me my order but another guy literally blocked me from leaving saying that's not your order it's someone else's with the same name. But the guy who gave me the order corrected him and said no it's actually her's.. like seriously?? How unprofessional and rude the other guy was! Made me feel like I was stealing something.. wth? But still I didn't fuss and kept my cool and left. When I get home to unpack my order I literally thought it was a prank or some sort of joke when I saw the size of the containers. It was the size of a postcard to give you an idea. I spent in total $63 for glorified 2 kids meals and a small box container of chop suey. At this point I'm just hoping that the taste and flavor will be the saving grace for this restaurant. Unfortunately it was absolutely awful! The chop suey and spicy shezwan was nothing but tomato sauce with lots of corn syrup, barely any chicken and lots of shredded carrots. The "roasted garlic fried rice " had ZERO flavor and not even a hint of garlic!! What an absolute waste of my money!! And to add salt to the wound you can't even call them. Very poor business ethics. I Will never recommend anyone to try this very overpriced, bland, over crowded joke of a restaurant! Save yourself time and money, go elsewhere..there's many other great restaurants that deserve our business. read more

If yelp would allow 0 stars, that's what we would give. Food had good flavor if it wasn't covered in hot spice. Having to pay for basmati rice on the side is ridiculous. At 99.9% of Asian restaurants, rice comes automatic so for this place to say that they're authentic Chinese or classic or whatever they're saying, it's a lie. We ordered the chicken chowmein for our 3 kids and they could barely eat it (we ordered the adult size because my kids can finish a whole plate). Husband and I ordered the Mongolian beef and Spicy Schezwan and we couldn't even eat half, it was that spicy. The chips they give as an appetizer had no flavor. Yes I get it that Pakistani food is spicy, but PAKISTANI PEOPLE AREN'T THE ONLY DEMOGRAPHIC IN ALIANA! When it came time to check out, it took them 10 minutes to bring us the machine and when asking for a box, it took them almost 10 minutes when we were sitting right next to the kitchen! $60+ for this meal was not worth it and hope everyone steers clear of this place (unless this is your sort of thing then go for it). read more

Portions? MASSIVE. We asked the waitress how big one of the dishes was and she said it could feed a family of 4. Girl was underselling it--when the plate came out, it looked like it could feed an entire neighborhood. went to Ginsoy on a Tuesday night and there was an hour long wait. ordered family style meals and the servings were huge. the food was tasty but would recommend that they offer three servings small, medium and large depending on the number of people in your party. best thing was no two things tasted the same. our server Hajar was helpful and efficient.
