My son-in-law recommended this Waterdown pizza and wings venue for dinner since I was treating. He…read moresaid this was his new favourite local takeout place so I had to taste what all the fuss was about. Our order was 12 pieces (approximately 2.5 lbs) of the honey garlic Signature Wings $13.99, a medium Indian Butter Chicken Fusion pizza $17.75 plus a build my own large pizza with red onions, green peppers and ground beef $14.24. It was a great meal and the takeout service was fast. The best surprise were the wings and the Indian Fusion pizza consisting of Butter Chicken Sauce, Mozzarella, Butter Chicken, Green Pepper and Red Onions. Flavourful and delicious!

Bad pizza, messed up order, terrible service - don't waste your time…read more I ordered two medium pizzas and 12 wings last night the bill came in just shy of $60. This was my second time ordering pizza at Johnny's and it was "okay" the first time around but I would rather support local business than the chain options in popping up in town. Immediately after arriving I checked the boxes and realized that instead of my medium pizza with pineapple, ham and red onion, they delivered a gluten free, cheese only pizza. The other pizza and wings order was correct. I contacted Pizza By Johnny through their website (since I ordered the pizza online) and informed them of the error and have not yet received a response. I originally opted to try Pizza By Johnny to avoid the chain options in town and to support local business but it's really not worth the trouble or the money. I mean courtesy aside, the pizza is basically like an off-brand Delissio. Unfortunately, there aren't many other independent pizza shops in town and I will have to opt for a chain going forward as the experience, product and response have all been completely unsatisfactory. Don't waste your time.

Incredible flavours and a unique style offered at this little pizzeria…read more "Roman" style pizza is served here, which is similar to a my grandma pie or a thinner, crispier Sicilian. You can taste the quality of the ingredients here, and everything prepared has a real home-made feel to it, as if your Italian friend's Nona just took some pies out of the oven for you guys. It's incredibly delicious, and you won't be able to stop eating it. The biggest standout for me here is their sauce, which has such a strong tomato flavour while still being delicate and balanced. It's honestly one of the best sauces I've ever had. I highly recommend trying their margherita, as it's the best way to try their sauce and dough. With so many great pizza shops in Hamilton, Flora definitely stands out, not only by offering a different style of pizza than the rest but also by focusing on fresh, quality ingredients with a real homemade touch. Highly, highly recommend!

Hamilton is filled with fantastic local pizza joints, so when I heard that Flora was the *best*…read morepizza in town, I had to check them out. Nestled on a side-street off busy James St N as you travel up the mountain, you'll find Flora on the ground floor of a older residential-looking building. The first thing you'll notice walking inside is actually how small this place is - the pizza ovens and prep area take up most of the space. But there's something incredibly charming about that because you have high hopes that if they dedicate that much space to food prep, it's gotta be good. Happy to report that their pizza lives up to the hype! Pizza is baked in a sheet-pan with a semi-thick crust that's soft yet crispy at the edges. Crust is on the thicker side relative to some Italian restaurants and pizza chains, but the composition of the dough makes it work because it has a bite but not too tough/thick where it gives your mouth a workout. I also loved their fresh tomato sauce. It balanced so well with the cheese and toppings, giving the pizza a nice freshness so that it didn't feel as heavy. My only critique was that I wanted more basil on my pizza (I love me some basil!)

Ok! Wowowow. I'll be the first to admit i'm a picky pizza takeout eater. When the pies get to $20…read moreper I am hard to judge if it's worth it. Do not sleep on trying this spot! Worth it for sure. Spicy Italian: if you like salami and banana peppers, you would love this. It was the perfect amount of heat without taking away from the flavour of the sauce and dough. Peach: I was very hesitant because I'm on team "pineapple does not belong on pizza" but this was wonderful. Peach, prosciutto, balsamic and goat cheese. This is a white based pizza! Hot tip ask for parmesean too so it's more cheesy. Pazucchi: green olives, broccoli, zucchini. If you love greens perhaps this is for you. I personally liked this one the least because I enjoyed the mix of the other flavours more. But it wasn't bad if I added their homemade garlic dipping sauce! I think I'll head back here for pickup again soon and try some other interesting pizzas!

So we stopped by to pick one up today. We got a large thin crust pizza - pepperoni on the whole thing and ham on half. Also got an order of salt & pepper wings. And they definitely exceeded our expectations! It was the kind of thin crust that droops down, and is nice and oily. This is how I love my pizza to be! The ingredients were fresh, cheese nice & stretchy, and a perfect amount of sauce. The wings were also really good - a little toasty and super tasty. Service was also great. Very polite and friendly! Like I said, a little out of our way, but totally worth the trip. We'll definitely be back!
