I've been here a handful of times and the only mistake that I made was ordering a durian dessert. I mean, how bad can durian be when smothered with ice cream? The answer...pretty bad. I just can't get past the smell, but if you like durian I'm sure one of these choices would be delicious. The service is pretty consistent as long as you get their attention. The desserts usually come out pretty quick, but give an extra 5 to 10 minutes if you order the chocolate lava cake.

Mosquitoes, fruit flies, and other flying critters...not too relaxing when I feel like I'm dodging them left and right. The staff here tend to rush you, in typical HK fashion. I don't think they mean any harm, but once you are seated, you are expected to order ASAP. Once you stop touching your dessert, they come asking if you're done and attempt to take it away. There was actually a time when I came in the evening and ordered my dessert. Before my dessert even came to me, they handed me a bill. I was told that they are closing and it would be nice if I can settle the bill first. I mean...if you're closing, I just won't stay, or maybe I'll order take out. There were no customers at the time, so my order came out incredibly fast. I ordered the Comb Honey flavor. They cover the sides of your cup with honey and then they pour in their incredible soft-serve. Then they top it with a piece of real honey comb. The soft serve was exceptional creamy and velvety. Coupled with the lightly sweet honey, it was a match made in heaven. I finished the entire cup in a matter of minutes and then I ate the honey comb. It was incredibly delicious. I definitely recommend stopping by if you want a delicious way to top off a meal.

They have quite a few choices but we ordered their recommended flavour which was honey comb. I don't know why but I was expecting honey comb flavoured ice cream instead it was just vanilla soft serve with a few pieces of honey comb around the edges. The ice cream was good but you could definitely taste that they made it with mix. It has that artificial milky vanilla taste to it. For this price, I don't think I will return for such average ice cream.

No matter where you are in the world each location offers pretty much the same menu and this one is no different. Pumpkin spice latte made with almond or soy milk is my favorite this time of year. The flavor topped with spice warms my heart. Years ago I frequented SB several times a week but at today's prices I'm lucky if I can afford it once a month. The end result was it was nicely cold, but a tinge blander and less sweet than I had remembered. It was still refreshing, but the wow effect was gone. Before there were people behind the counter cracking open cans of coconut milk and the continuous mixing of drinks, but felt slow and the vibe was a downer. My friends didn't seem too impressed, which I understood why. The bottle prices are up 4HKD (now 30HKD) from the last decade, which is not as crazy as expected. Considering that they've recently expanded to Prince Edward earlier this year, I imagine the brand is doing well, despite it not feeling the same. I didn't know this until I was reading the sign waiting around for my matcha soft serve. NBD.....that meant that there was more for me to eat in the regular size. I ordered a plain soft serve with waffle cone. The matcha soft serve had the earthy taste of the tea and most importantly, not that sweet. The soft serve went well with the crunchy waffle cone and it was gone in no time. I will definitely come here again on my next visit - I will shop for groceries and get my prize of soft serve afterwards.

I adore chocolate and hoped it would brighten my afternoon. I asked for the soft-serve to be served in a simple paper cup (on display on the counter for another product). I explained (nicely) that I was headed back to a desk and it would be extremely challenging to work while holding an ice cream cone in one hand. I was declined with a snooty "we only serve it in the cone". It *must* be served in a cone. This rigidness is frustrating for a customer and yet is extremely typical of many people that work in so-called service jobs here. Anyway, the ice cream cone itself was a complete disappointment on several fronts. -First, it was sickeningly, sharply sweet (my teeth started to ache from the sugary sweetness); -Second, the chocolate flavor was subpar (Haagen-Dazs or Serendipity's Frozen Hot Chocolate have superior, creamy and rich chocolate flavor); -Third, there was no "white chocolate" taste whatsoever in the white part of the swirl; -Fourth, the amount of ice cream in the cone was tiny (maybe serving it in a paper cup would make that abundantly clear); -Fifth, the cone they insisted on was just "meh" Disturbingly, at the McDonald's just upstairs, I could have purchased nine soft serve cones to share with colleagues for the price of this one extremely disappointing Godiva one...or bought one cone at HK$5 and donated the difference to Ronald McDonald House.
