It is the best place to go with kids for a great afternoon or evening out! Owners are always pleasant and grounds are kept very nice!

My first time ever paintballing so I'm not sure how to review this, but I had a great time…read more Came here as part of a bachelor party weekend. We came as a group of 9 and played against ourselves. You are assigned one "referee" who accompanies you throughout your time there. We got the membership because you get a 5% discount on the paintballs and since we were a large group, the math just made sense (9 asians, mostly in finance, so you can trust the math). We opted for the camo suits for 10$ and some got 10$ gloves. You start off by watching a short 5min video in a living room with couches and sofas. Several arenas as well as battlegrounds in the woods. Lots of different scenarios to choose from including hunger games, speedball, capture the flag. The ref was very nice in explaining the rules. A bus takes you to and from the woods, and also brings compressed air refills. The system they have going is very efficient so you waste minimal time commuting and more time shooting. There's also a bachelor's game scenario, where the bachelor runs across the field while the grooms party shoots at him.... OVERALL: As a firs time paintballer, I would definitely come again....

AC paintball provided the guns and helmet. I brought gloves, long sleeves, pants and laser focus. After a brief video on some safety stuff and warnings not to shoot the emu's we got to choose our guns. They provide you with a gun, air and a helmet. All the guns we got were well maintained. They have a couple maps in the front that have a variety of places to find cover as well as a couple trees. The property is really expansive and there are also woods maps as well where you can play a variety of games. Each group gets a ref and a block of time to play. You buy bullets (paintball's) as you go. The forest/wood maps were more difficult with more foliage to get in the way. You definitely notice when you've been shot. We had a 4 hour block for our group of 5 and everyone was pretty tired at the end. They also let groups mix if you'd like and it's not bad if your group isn't too big. Unfortunately we ended up paired with kids which was okay as a first timer but also made the games a little less competitive. The customer service was pretty good. All in all I had a great time and would recommend this for any bachelor party, make sure the groom to be makes the bachelor run!

I was told that the offer did not include air or paintballs. I asked and was told that paintballs were $60 for a case (2000 paintballs). Long story short when I arrived with a party of 12, since I bought a Groupon, I was not permitted to purchase paintballs by the case, but had to buy a case of paintballs at a more expense price (500 paintballs for $20). After talking with the owner about the discrepancy, he repeatedly told me that no one has ever complained about this. Because no one has complained, does not make this practice transparent. He stated that the paintball purchasing price should have been listed on the Groupon. I agreed, but it was not on the Groupon and a month later, it still is not on the Groupon. I enjoyed the field and the staff, but I was asking to be refunded the extra $60 that I spent on paintballs or be offered a credit. The owner refused. I do not begrudge a company to make money for a service provided, but just be upfront and Playground Paintball Park was not! I will take my business elsewhere!

Honestly, I am shocked at how much I enjoyed playing airsoft, as this is not something I would…read moretypically find appealing. The only reason I went is because a group of friends & I got a house for the weekend in Lancaster, and they wanted to play. If you're not used to playing, it can be a little intimidating when you arrive. Most of the other people there seem to play all the time. They are decked out in tactical gear, have their own airsoft guns, etc., but the staff and everyone else couldn't be more friendly. And once you get on the battlefield and shoot a few people and/or get shot, the nerves settle and it becomes really fun. I would absolutely go again if a situation arose where my friend group decided they wanted to play. But next time, I would probably opt to rent a gun that is a bit better than the standard gun they have for rent. The standard gun you rent has been heavily used, so it tends to misfire, dryfire, jam, etc. It became very frustrating. As well, the people that owned their own guns and equipment had a clear and significant advantage over those of us that did not, so just bear that in mind. 10 out of 10, would absolutely go again.

Open just 3 days a week for 6 weeks in the summer, it's completely free for kids 12 and under only. (8 and under on Tuesdays). It used to be a sanitarium & still serves as a place for kids to play, relax and eat free soup at noon. Seriously. It's been open for basically ever & is kind of a local secret. Unless you are a carousel expert, then you would know about their famous Ferrari carousel that is still operating and worth a trip just to experience alone. Look up the history online for an interesting story. The grounds are large enough for some soccer games etc. & I saw what looks like a volleyball court there too. There are old trees scattered around, so you can set yourself up with a blanket & camp chairs in the shade if you'd like. Or there are 3 large pavilions and multitudes of picnic tables all over the place. I also saw people with coolers of their own food. A huge slide, swimming and wading pools, free lunch at noon, plus snacks at 10 & 2, a playground, tons of swing sets and even old-school wooden see-saws = happy kids. http://southjerseyexplorer.com/2013/05/06/soupy-island-revisited/
