I got there around 10 AM on a Saturday. Parking for a day visit was easy and there were plenty of open spaces when I left. It was busy but it did not feel overwhelming or overcrowded. There wasn't much interaction with staff so it's mostly other customers who make up the atmosphere of your visit. Overall I enjoyed my visit and would return. The water is cold and stays cold; it's not like the pool or beach where it eventually feels warm. It continues to feel cold but you just accept it the longer you're there lol. I rented a tube and life jacket. Life jackets are free but you have to "buy" them through their system (your total will be $0) like everything else. They track your rentals so you have to give your name when you return things to make sure you are not charged for keeping a rental. The downside of tubing is the long walk to the beginning and there's no simple way to stop if you want to stop early. The water wasn't flowing as much at one point which caused me to just stop in the middle. I recommend renting/bringing paddles even for tubing so you can better control your journey and make sure you tie yourself to the people that you are with. They have a changing stalls & a real bathroom (not just porta potties that you see in the parking lot), but it's down the hill after the big Ginnie Springs sign.

Wow! This place is magical! Crisp, clear and blue spring water to swim, paddle board or float in. There are multiple springs as well as caves for certified cave divers to explore. Being your goggles so you can explore under the water. Little fish will be swimming right next to you. The water temp is 72 year round. Highly recommend this spot! If you want to camp, there are tons of camp spaces too.

We came to Ginnie Springs and had a great time. We had no issues with parking and renting the tubes. Finding the entrance to the spring took a little bit of a guessing game as we were not sure if we were heading to the camping grounds or the spring. Once in the spring, it was amazing. The water temperature was just perfect. The only thing is that the exit was a bit more complicated than I had anticipated due to the stream speed. I knew we couldn't miss the exit and I thought we were going to. The exit warning signs should have been clearer indicating on what side of the spring it would be so we could have better prepared for it. Nonetheless, the spring was relaxing. On the way back, it was easier to identify where to return the tube with the signs that indicated 'tube trail'. We had no issues returning the tube or leaving the establishment. We would definitely return.

What a beautiful experience and even more beautiful day. Lots of activities for the family from camping to swimming to just plain doing nothing. Each spring offer views for all to enjoy with plenty of picnic table seating. The most visited springs are Ginnie and devil's eye. You can stay all day if you plan properly and prepare we spent about four hours here and they went by pretty fast, just exploring nature. Love to see places like this still exist in its natural habitat and I would recommend for families couples or just a quick getaway trip in nature.

    Outrageous Entry fees

Starts off a with barren entry. Gravel parking lot. Told to sign away all my personal detail just to sign some waiver. We go in and greeted with a sign that says an outrageous $25 to enter per person per day. Customer service was acting snippy and just goes "we're privately owned so we can charge what we want" So we decided to walk out. Then their employee or visitor almost ran us over in their Tesla backing up his car No way on earth is anyone paying $25 to take a swim

We came here on a Thursday afternoon March 28, 2023 It usually cost $15 per person but they said we could get a guest pass cuz we just wanted to look around. This place is beautiful. Three to four different Springs to hang out at. Lots and lots of camping sites mostly tent sites no electricity. Today there wasn't very much people but the lady who picks up the trash should it's going to be a madhouse on the weekend. This place is privately owned so it pretty much let as many people in as they want. I've always heard about Ginnie Springs. I'm glad I got to see it today and it's beauty nice and quiet and just a few people swimming around It was so beautiful. On the weekends it's $15 per person to get in or $25 a night per person if you want a camp.

It's first come first serve, staff are rude and don't answer questions and it's expensive. For the price you pay, it should be clean but the bathhouses are in disrepair and disgusting. We have a group of about 50 so we camp at lower beaver. This time, everyone got sick and it wasn't from the food, we didnt get into the river, just the spring. Loud Spanish music and the staff won't help but if you do something minor, they are all over you. People tube down the river and people just throw their garbage right into the river. The staff go around and pickup their garbage bags but won't clean the camping areas. There are more drugs there than on the Southside of town and it's supposed to be family friendly. People being rude, disrespectful and lewd. The staff sucks and this place needs to be sold off to someone that cares. $40.00 a night if you camp per person.

Had the opportunity to visit Ginnie Springs for four days of wonderful Cave diving. The location was fantastic. Everything diver would need. The set up locations were great. There are benches to put your tanks and assemble your gear. The stairs to get into. The springs were very sturdy with nonslip material on each stair. To top it off the restrooms were top-notch. It was great taking a warm shower after a long dive. I can't wait to go back.

Ginnie springs is a fun place to tube! We came to tube and camp, but that being said I would have give it 5 stars but the noise from the generators that run all day and night and the loud music is very annoying. Just wish the staff would make the rules that generators don't need to run all day, especially when nobody's even at their campsites. And turn down the music nobody wants to hear your music at our campsite!!!! Other wise it's a fun place to tube!!!!

My friends and I had an awesome time. The water was cold, but the temperature is like that all year long. The caves inside the springs were amazing. We did get to see a snapping turtle. We didn't camp on site. They do have a little store where you can buy hamburgers, wings, and snacks. We left exhausted, but we had a blast.

New favorite spring to go scuba diving in. They do charge for diving and rentals but the rentals are top notch brands. They have many springs to dive in . Go during the week as it was not many ppl in sight! Loved the ear and eye

Ginnie springs is so worth it. The clearest fresh water I've seen In my live. The rental was easy and fast. The ladies at check in are so kind and helpful, they were able to answer all of my questions . I will return asap. So an experience. Very clear place. And remember to try to keep it that way!

Do you need to reserve for the weekend?

Mhm I don't think there's any reservations maybe for the RVs only. You can always call them.

Are tubes available there for the river or do you have to bring your own?

Yes, they are available but have to pay for. You can also bring your own.

I heard there are so many people it's no fun and the water isn't clear right now. Is this true?

I don't find this to be true. We were there during the week hoping to be with less crowds but no- there were a lot of people there. We found Ginnie Springs had the most visitors and the other spring runs (at Ginnie) had less people. We preferred… Read more

    What if full?

Yes, after 12pm or so it got really full.this was on a Saturday.

    Do they actually check id?

    No, they don't.

Is there cabins to rent to spend the night?

    No.

Are there lockers? If not, where do we leave keys/phones/wallets?

I did not see a building. So, I don't think they have lockers. I carried my belongings with me and didn't stray from eye sight of them while in the Springs. Please sign the… Read more

Can I go in rainy day?

Yes, absolutely. We went camping and it rained half the time, but still went swimming and floating down the river and it was heavy Summer rain.

What is the parking situation? Is it secure to leave luggage in car? And are there any lockers for car keys or phone?

Make sure everything is locked up secure. I heard last week there at Ginnie Springs there were a group of teenagers going around and checking cars. Best to leave all valuables at home or at least put them in your trunk or where they can't be seen. I… Read more

Are there alligators in the water where you tube?

The gators are afraid of loud noises, during the daytime in the full fun time it gets a little loud. They don't stick around. That is what people tell me down here. Another thing I learned down here. Many frogs crooking = frogs. One frog crooking =… Read more

SO GLAD we took a chance. It's a one-man operation, and he's incredible. His prices are all in, and he really does knock it out in just 2 days with great flexible local dives near the High Springs area. If you have a special request, just call him - he was able to add our NitrOx cert as well on the fly. I was blown away watching this man transition from charismatic comedy, making learning fun but still hitting all the key points, right into suddenly supportive teacher mode when we were in the practical portions and he was helping a student who was struggling, using a disarming compassionate demeanor. At least in our session, class sizes were very small, and he not only equipped us mentally for our scuba expeditions, but he gave us incredible insight and recommendations beyond the certification on what kind of gear to look for, good habits, inside tips for the industry. Just 11/10. He also does have gear available for sale, customized to the diver, which is I assume how he keeps his prices so low, but he wasn't pushy at all and advised us for what we NEEDED not what he sold. I was actively trying to buy gear from him, and he advised me that I might need something special and that also some other websites unrelated to him are having a pretty good sale right now so he chose our equipment and savings over his own revenue. Just couldn't be more impressed. (Also, if you come down here for just the class from out of town, I highly recommend the "getaway" tiny home cabins nearby for lodging. They're clean, super cheap, nice close by, and easy. Including two nights lodging, you could get your scuba cert here for like a thousand or $1,200 cheaper than you can in most major cities.)

The Devil's Den is a fascinating hidden gem that offers a true taste of Florida's unique geology. A cenote is a natural sinkhole formed when limestone bedrock collapses. Most are very unique and all share that they seem to have crystal-clear groundwater beneath and an opening above for sunlight to reach the water through a hole in the ceiling. It is essentially a window into an underground aquifer. The springs typically have 72-degree spring water making it cool and refreshing no matter how hot it is outside. The experience is especially rewarding if you're visiting a cenote for the first time. The entrance is easy to miss from the walkway. We walked right past it. Gear rentals are available on-site, making it accessible even for beginners. You check in at the office and pay your fee and sign the waivers and then you can enter and descend a set of stairs with a notably low ceiling. Watch your head!. It is a little bit dark on the first landing but it had plenty of light at the large landing by the water. Below, the cavern opens up to reveal the stunning underground spring, perfect for snorkeling. We did not go snorkeling this visit but may try it the next time. Right next to the cenote is a pleasant above-ground pool area with a beach area and chairs. Right next to the cenote entrance are several covered tables for groups.. It's a convenient spot to dry off, eat a snack, or simply enjoy the surroundings after your swim. Overall, Devil's Den is a neat and unique geological feature that's well worth the stop, especially if you're exploring central Florida's springs. It's not a large site, so you won't spend all day there, but the chance to snorkel inside a real cenote creates a memorable, bucket-list moment.
