I was pleasantly surprised to find a salon here that uses non toxic products. What really convinced me to try A Beautiful Reaction was when I saw that the colorists and stylists received on-going education. I believe it's always important to improve one's skills. I also liked the mission statement on the website which says "We want to set ourselves apart by what we call the "BRe Experience." That means from educating our clients about the chemistry in our consultations, customized appointments built around your desires and budget, to the scalp massage at the bowl, and personalized follow up from our guest relations department guaranteeing our work." So I had high hopes going into my appt. Rather than going into detail for the sake of keeping this review on point, let's just say that I walked out of the salon with an experience that left a lot to be desired. I wrote to the owner Kelsey and expressed my dissatisfaction with the services provided and not only did she offer to make things right, but she offered to fix my hair herself. It really says a lot about a business when the owner is not only open to criticism but accepts responsibility. What a night and day experience I had this time. I was given five star service treatment from the offer of complimentary beverages to the warm towel and scalp massage at the sink. I am extremely pleased with the results. I definitely believe in second chances and I am looking forward to my next appointment.

Otherwise, I love the warm yet functional interior of Mane Street Salon. I had a hard time finding a trustworthy stylist when I moved to the area and went 6 months between colors. By word of mouth, I found Kari. She was so incredibly warm, understanding and desperately wanted to fix my gray. I think she actually cared more about my color and finding the right color for me than I did. What a gift. She worked to find the right color mix and she expertly went to work. She was careful to make sure my clothing and facial skin was clean and dye free. Within a short amount of time, I was gray-free with fabulous auburn hair. She's continues to have the same level of diligence every time I go to her and I'm happy to say she's the only one I trust with my hair.

One of my favorite parts was that she took detailed images of my scalp at the beginning and explained exactly what she was seeing. It was fascinating and so helpful to actually understand the condition of my scalp instead of just guessing. Based on those images, she customized my treatment with specific products, tinctures, and even supplement recommendations that were tailored to what my scalp actually needed. The treatment itself was incredible! She used several different jets, massage tools, and scalp treatments throughout the session, and every step felt intentional. I found Mak and the processing bar through hashtags on instagram and decided to make an appointment. Everyone was very friendly as soon as I walked in.
