It was our first time in the place like I said, so when we came in with our stroller, we didn't know it would be so tight. We were not greeted at all, but instead, promptly told to get our wagon out. We came back in and had to ask for a baby seat. After a small while he brought us back a child seat and we found our table. Went in to listen to music and have a coffee/tea. It was a little early to have dinner yet, so my husband ordered coffee. I asked which kind of tea they had and he said "just regular" so I asked "what kind of regular, black, green?.." He only had earl grey which I couldn't have because I am still breastfeeding, so instead I ordered water while we waited for the music to start and think about what we wanted to eat. The owner asked if we wanted to order our food and when we said "we don't want to order food right now," he kicked us out. Literally said "det går ikke. Vi betale for mye for dere å bare sitte her." Just an FYI to the owner, Every time my husband and I have gone to listen to music at a new place, we ALWAYS visit again. Your job as a business owner is to make everyone feel welcome so that they come again! This guy completely missed his chance at making new customers and we won't be going back for sure. Feeling really bummed that were missing out on the music tonight too. Good musicians don't deserve to have their audience kicked out!!!!!

Simplistic and not very cozy. Buuut. Have in mind. The food was 4-5 for me and I had a great Lebanese red wine. Try the kebab and the Lebaneh (think thats the name of the home made cheese dish). Pita bread was yummy too and the same goes for the rest I had. For me its about the whole experience. I would for sure eat here again, but its not where you bring your Tinder date=) Book a table in advance because its a very popular place.

They had confirmed by SMS two days before when the order was placed that I could pick up the food at 18:00. Then on Saturday when I was going to pick up the food I waited first in the rain and 4 degrees for 10 min before the staff asked for my name, then I waited another 25 min before taking my name for the second time. He checked the order list and said they had no order on my name. So after 35-40 my wait I left without food. Since it was late on Easter Eve, it was not easy to get food elsewhere in the city - but fortunately I got food from Saray. They had a long wait to order, but they called me and explained why and that they arrived as soon as they could. When Saray delivered I was given some extra food as a compensation because it had taken some time before they brought the food. The food from Saray was good, service superb. I can't say that about Ben Reddik, I wrote SMS and sent mld via insta but got no reply! They are probably a popular restaurant that right now, in the middle of the corona era, and does not have to deal with customer service or know what it means! Anyway they end up on the minus side when it comes to from me.

But first you gotta climb the steep stair up to the main area where you are greeted by a bar-look-alike counter. On the board, you see the summary of the menu, food on the left and drinks on the right. For detailed menu, grab the menu on the counter. On the left you will find an area with table & chairs where you can sit down. We tried the Hummus & Falafel 163kr and Hummus & Chicken 173kr plates. You will get a plate of hummus and another plate of pita, corn chips, beets salad & few other condiments. The hummus are not bad, a little bland & dry for my taste, I do prefer it to be a little more garlicky. As for the falafel, again, it was OK with lack of flavor & not very crunchy outside. As for the roasted chicken, it was decent & can get a little dry when dip with the pita. That being said, for the price, it really fills you up and I really liked the ambiance. Remind me of a hippy hangout spot with arts, photos on the walls and few knick-knacks for decor.

Pillows and throws on love seats that line the walls. Patterned rugs on the floors. Very quaint and adorable. There are a few menu items that you can order by themselves (like a normal restaurant), but the main event at this place are the Mediterranean "Tapas". They call them "mezah". The menu is only in Norwegian, but from what I understood, you can choose any combination of Mezah, each costing 40 nok, or have the chef choose 6 for you, and they will cost 160 nok for vegetarian or 180 nok for meat and vegetarian (so you save quite a bit). This combo comes with pita and feeds one (hungry) person. My boyfriend and I decided to each order one, so we got quite the variation of Mezah's to try. Some were very good, others not so much. The Bulgur, Tsatsiki, Kyllingvinger (chicken wings) and Kjøtboller (meatballs) were our favorites. We did not like the Baba Ganosh or the Squash, but maybe that's just our aversion to "weird vegetables" as we like to call them haha. Everything else was good. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes to try new things, is hungry, and is in the mood for Mediterranean/ Turkish/ middle eastern food. It might be a little pricey, but definitely worth trying a lot of different dishes.

Iranian food isn't spicy but it is delicious. Iranians normally make stews at home...the restaurants food isn't as good as home cooked but its not bad. The Zereshk Polo uses good quality barberries and saffron. So, I recommend that dish. It comes with chicken in a stew. I also really like the Baghala Polo ba machiche (which is essentially dill rice with butter beans and lamb shank in broth). It is really good comfort food. The Ghormeh Sabzi (Herb lamb stew with kidney beans) is, according to my mother, tastes tinned but its still tasty. The Fesenjan (chicken cooked with walnuts and pomegranate sauce) is also a good option. I like to also order a side order of cucumber / garlic yoghurt.
