They have omelets, all kinds of eggs to order, hotcakes, lonches (sandwiches using bolillos), molletes, etc. Their coffee is average, but their juices are fresh squeezed. Obviously, their specialty is chilaquiles, and those are available with a variety of sauces from trade red or green sauce to mole, and chipotle. No not some snobby Michelin bistro but a long table set up at the entrance of the local Mercado. Dining is family style. You will sit elbow to elbow with locals or tourists in the know. Across the entrance from the table is the kitchen. A long concrete counter hat runs with the efficiency of a Swiss watch. Considering the amount of people being fed everything comes out perfect. Now let's talk food. Café de olla is a must and here it is just like abuela use to make. Strong and that little hint of canela. My wife had the quesadilla de flor de calabasas y hongos. I had the torta de chorizo. The quesadilla was perfect on a blue corn tortilla overflowing with flor de calabasa and hongos dripping with stringy Oaxaca cheese. My torta was delicious. Overloaded with a mild chorizo. We also had the chilaquiles en salsa. This is not the stuff you will find in LA. This is Mexican food as an art form.
