Hands down one of the best barbershops in the entire South Bay. Daniel has been my barber for years, and I honestly wouldn't go anywhere else. I come in every week, and it's always a great experience -- great music, great conversation, awesome atmosphere, and just genuinely good people. Mese cuts my 13-year-old son's hair and absolutely kills it every time. My son gets a specific blowout taper, and Mese is the only person we trust with it. His attention to detail is incredible. Daniel and Mese make you feel like family. Great cuts, great prices, great people, and an environment both my son and I actually look forward to coming to. Whether you're in Gilroy, Morgan Hill, or anywhere in the Bay Area, Gilroy Barber Lounge is absolutely worth the drive. Couldn't recommend these guys enough! read more

Honestly only reason I came here is because a last minute back to school haircut. We got attended and cut by a guy named Chris super nice and easy going did a great job on the hair. Although the cut was great I didn't like that a guy was blowing another's clients hair around . When I had first called to get an appointment the guy that answered was talking over me that should've been the first red flag. If the environment all around matched the haircut I would return besides that very unsatisfying. read more

Walked in. One worker, one person in the chair. She says hi one minute. We waited almost half an hour for her to finish and a guy walks in. She says he has an appointment. Not one time while waiting did she mention she had an upcoming appointment. Just flirted (in my opinion) with the client and tried to give a card to come back. Why would we ever come back and spend money at a place that would allow people (in an empty shop) to sit for half an hour with a toddler and not say a word about the availability. Highly unprofessional. read more

This was my first time there. Great place. Friendly vibe. Quality haircuts. I Highly recommend.

I unfortunately did not have a good experience here. While it was nice that they got me in on short notice, the person who I had an appointment with (Tony) did not end up cutting my hair, and instead I got someone else named Dennis. I requested a trim and told him I didn't want to take too much off for length, I was more interested in reducing the thickness of my hair. I have curly/wavy hair and like it a little longer so the curls can show. I showed him this picture for how I wanted the back, and I think it's pretty clear it's not even close to what I asked for. Dennis didn't really check in on me and ask about lengths or how I was feeling about the cut throughout either. The shop is clean and friendly, but I didn't feel listened to and I'm really unsatisfied with the outcome of my haircut, especially with a big event coming up. read more

I took my VERY WIGGLY, sensitive, and shy 4 year old to see Daniel this morning for his first barber shop cut. My son has been very nervous about this for a long time but he finally agreed IF he could get a lightning bolt. We got right in, the guys were very welcoming, Daniel did a great job with my son and was very gentle and patient with his constant squirminess. His hair looks great and we got the biggest smirk out of him when he saw his lightning bolt. Great experience and we will definitely be going back. Thank you! read more

My new favorite spot. Ask for Dan. He always does an excellent job and is great to chat with during my time there.

We're from out of town and they were able to get us an appointment! Super quick and easy! Daniel was friendly and even offered us suggestions on where to tour! My boyfriend got a low taper, lined him up without asking! Kept a good conversation the entire time! read more

Best barbers in the bay hands down. I used to live in gilroy and now I live in Redwood City and I've had to get my hair cut at other places closer to where I live in a time sensitive situation but it never holds a candle to these barbers. read more

Came today for the first time. Understandable they are busy since salons just reopened due to Covid. We made a schedule mistake and missed our original apt time as I tried to book using the online app. Totally our fault but they were able to accommodate us later and ensured we had a positive experience. We had Gabe do my son's cut and it had been a full year since his last haircut. I was not about to do the mom cut mid quarantine ha. They gave him a fresh fade and pomp and my kid looks like a brand new one. Super friendly. Super accommodating. Stellar cut. Can't beat that. We will for sure be back. read more

Im looking for a new barber in town, so i decided to give Gilroy Barber Lounge a try. I booked an appointment with Wyatt. Wyatt seemed friendly at first, but when I was unpleased with his service and i asked for a fix, he became argumentative. If you're looking for a new place for fades and tapers, I do not recommend this place. The staff is nice but the quality is not the best. read more

We went in for the first time for my 10 year old son and met Daniel. He was great and gave my son a great haircut. Daniel asked a lot of questions to understand what cut my son usually got and what we wanted to get this time around. He was patient with this mom who knows little about boy cuts and he was very personable too which made my son feel comfortable. My son usually doesn't look forward to getting haircuts, but said he would go back to Daniel. I agree. We will be returning. read more

Found this place through Yelp and glad I did. They're new to the area, so welcome to Gilroy. Making an online appointment was super easy and convenient. The location is great, downtown. The shop is clean and spacious with some great tunes playing. Jason was really welcoming and respectful. Asked me what style I was looking for and was understanding of my preference. We had some great conversation. Cut came out perfect, nothing rushed, took his time and made sure I was happy with the result. I highly recommend this place for it's ambience, location, professionalism and ease of scheduling an appointment. Will definitely make this my go to spot. read more

Been getting my haircut by jason for years old high school friend of mines. I trust very few to cut my hair and this guy gets better everyday. Listens to what his clients want done with their hair. Bring in a picture or an idea and he will have you looking right. Its about time he got his shop up and running. Great at all styles, warm and welcoming. Very genuine with his conversations and always interested in his clients outside life. If you have any doubts swing by and just say hello. You will enjoy your visit here just as much as the cut. Online booking as easy as pie. read more

Easy to get appointment, my son's hair looked great! It was his first time going to an actual barbershop.

I'm so glad that I tried this place out. For once they actually work and not close up shop early. Which is a pain because gilroy is small. I showed yHen what I want fOr my kids and he did really good. Sigh of relief. You have no idea. I love the fact you go online and book a appointment and I like to get stuff done early so that was pretty cool. Thanks Misael read more

Gilroy Barber Lounge - Yay!! Finally I found a barber. - Barbers Near Me - Gilroy, California

The best experience in a barbershop I have ever had. I just moved to Morgan Hill and found them on Google. The reviews were really good, so I gave them a try. Jason is the guy who cut my hair. He was personable and had great suggestions on how to style my hair. After leaving there I was extremely pleased with the customer service and my cut. This place knows how to get your hair just right. All the while make you feel like you know them well with great conversations. I highly recommend them. read more

I am not one to post a review but in this case I most definitely have to say I'm very glad I went here. I've wanted to go short with my hair for a very long time and I was extremely nervous about it when I walked in but Jason was very kind and welcoming he did a wonderful job on my hair. I couldn't be happier! This was a very big change for me thank you Jason! read more

My first time getting a haircut from an actual barber (I would always go to great clips or Supercuts) so I was a bit nervous about it. I made an appointment with JR. And I loved it he was very friendly and a chill person to talk to. I highly recommend coming to this place. Thanks for the fresh cut JR. read more

I walked in talked with the guy, told him what I wanted, how I wanted the back of my shoulder length hair shaped, and he cut it all off, said there was still hair, but it was neck hair! He ruined my hair, and misshaped the rest, including not having what he hacked even close to straight! There was a woman in there doing a good job in some corn rows! read more

Awesome barbershop in downtown Gilroy! It's open, well ventilated and all the barbers were wearing masks. My son was in need of a haircut and it was super easy to book an appointment online. We had the pleasure of having JR cut my son's hair and he did an amazing job. His hair looks on point and sharp! If I had hair I'd definitely come to this place for a snip. Maybe once they start doing shaves again I may book one for myself. But definitely it looks like we found our go to spot for my son's haircut! So good to see local businesses up and running again! read more

If I could give these guys more stars I would! The owners of this place are all super nice and are VERY good at what they do! I come from all the way from Salinas and I don't even care if I have to deal with traffic because their haircuts and braids are 100/10. People in Gilroy are lucky to have this barber spot and if you have haven't gone, your slackin! read more

JR did an amazing job on my sons hair, I was completely happy and so was my little man. This was my kids first time at the barbers after always going to the salon with mom. We will be back and I love that it's downtown gilroy such a nice open space, the music they were playing was great too, thanks Jr you did a phenomenal cut on my boy. I would highly recommend him and this barbershop. read more

This place is great. Super clean and professional. Jason cut my husbands hair, and the haircut was outstanding. We'll definitely be coming back. So glad to see a shop like this in Gilroy. They also take appointments, so no more waiting!! read more

Wow! I am so glad I found this barbershop. The online booking is extremely appreciated, especially when I was previously setting aside half of my Saturday to get a haircut. Long gone are the days of waiting 2-3 hours for your barber to get you in. This place knows how to treat clients. Misael is fantastic at what he does -- the attention to detail doesn't go unnoticed. I get compliments the whole week after I leave here. Add all of that to an immaculately clean & new barbershop, what more can you want? I'd book your appointment now if you're looking for a clean cut and good laughs. read more

I went in there once, told misael what I wanted and he still remembers what haircut I want. After my first cut he said "same cut?" And it was the same cut. I like when barbers are consistent with cuts and I like when they know what a low fade is. The other guys cut good as well but I'm making misael my go to barber. Their equipment is always clean, no waiting time- appointments are cool. Prices are reasonable. And they're funny dudes there, always a good laugh hearing their conversations. read more

This barber shop is exactly what Gilroy needed. Large seating area, online appointments, and most importantly a perfect haircut! My first interaction with Jason was very warm and welcoming, this guy knows what he's doing! I've been to barber shops all over the Bay Area and I can say, without a doubt, that this shop I feel the most comfortable in from day one. I've never left dissatisfied with my haircut and all the other barbers leave their customer walking out feeling confident and ready for the weekend. I now can be stress free about not having to wait 2 hours for a haircut when I know I can book an appointment online and get my haircut on my time. I can't recommend this place enough, you won't be disappointed! read more
