From the first interaction, Troy made us feel like family. While he and his team were here, we scheduled them to install a new 1200'+ rock driveway to tie into our existing drive. Emergency vehicles were previously unable to gain access, but that is no longer an issue. The team was professional, efficient, and transparent throughout the process. They completed the project on time and within budget, and the quality of work exceeded our expectations. The driveway looks fantastic and has significantly improved our property's accessibility. We highly recommend Troy and Asgaill Forestry for any land clearing or driveway needs!

Beware and proceed with extreme caution with this company just as you would with an actual Mad Cow…read more This company will take advantage of every opportunity to get you to sign a contract under the duress of a stressful situation following a storm, claim to be working with your insurer at no cost to you, perform lackluster service, then solely rely on said contract to bilk you and your insurer for exorbitant costs, threaten liens on your property, and attempt to silence any negative reviews online with frivolous claims of libel lawsuits for negative reviews after they've buried them with more recent positive reviews of their own. The best thing you could do is just look at how they respond to the negative reviews on here, Google, etc. - is every random person the enemy or are they just a bad company? Following the severe storms in mid-March, they have harassed sweet, elderly women and single mothers in the North County area with outrageous invoices for tens of thousands of dollars for a few hours of work. It couldn't be more obvious how they are simply attempting to prey on vulnerable people in stressful situations, in the hopes of getting the insurance payout, then shout about liens and lawsuits in order to get whatever money they can of out people when either insurance doesn't pay or they want more money. Even going so far as to bring a costumed police officer with them to the door "to collect" - last I checked, cops don't make house calls for bill collection. It is also suspicious that they want their compensation delivered in-person and not sent in the mail - could it because mail fraud is a federal offense?

If I could add a negative number I would. I told Wallace that I was still getting estimates. Then a few days later they went to my property and cut down the tree without my approval. They dropped the tree and put huge holes in my yard. A branch fell and severed a drain pipe and plugged it up and now my gutters leak causing my basement to leak as well. I asked that they come back and fix it. He finally called me back and gave me the riot act for taking so long to pay. I told him that I hesitated for all the above reasons , especially for not cleaning up and for smashing a drainage pipe.He has not returned my calls. So I never got a written estimate, never gave him an official OK to start and never got a receipt. Why I paid him - well - I am a good person. What a con. Do not use this service. I have a few friends who have had the same experience. Stay away. Have not heard one friend speak positive. Stay away.

I hired the owner of this company on February 27, 2025 to do a few small jobs for me. Replace a…read moresmall retaining wall that had fallen, cut up a tree that had come down in a recent storm, and burn said tree in a existing wood pile. The signed agreement was 50% down and 50% at completion. We gave him the 50% up front to start the job. He started all the jobs the next day. Then the following day the excuses started it was his truck broke down so that delayed his return for two days. When he returned he installed the wall and threw a strip of landscaping fabric in the hole. But then said he couldn't get the rock to fill it in over the weekend, or put grass seed down with straw, and then his tractor broke down. So the third day he started on the tree cutting which turned into him cutting some other trees and leaving stump and ruts in the yard. It started to rain so he left and said I will see you tomorrow. Well we never saw him. I messaged him he said he had some medical issues but was coming to finish the job the following day on March 4, 2025. He arrived and worked on cutting the tree up and putting it in the wood pile. He then asked for the remaining balance of the money for completing the job. He said "it's the beginning of the year and he had a ton of money out right now, and he would really appreciate it". I told him I was a little hesitant to pay the remaining balance because the job wasn't complete and now I needed ruts fixed in the yard from his tractor. Ethan, the owner assured me when it was dry out he would return finish the wall, finish taking out the tree, burn the wood pile. He even offered to put mulch down (which I said I would pay for outside of the original contract but he never gave me a quote or requested any money). Then he said in addition I am going to mow for you and pick up this other pile of branches get that burned as well, NO additional jobs were completed even though he offered. I told him I didn't need all that, I just wanted the original work completed. So being a trusting individual I reluctantly paid him the remaining 50% due on the original contract. Never heard back from him. We did have some rain so I was understanding and waited to contact him. On March 10, 2025 I inquired about him returning, he said he would be there the next day. Excuses started again my Bobcat is down I'm at the shop fixing it. He never showed up and I got a text on March 17, 2025" I haven't forgotten about you". I wasn't very happy and basically told him to forget it because I really felt as if he was being dishonest he got his money and skipped on finishing the jobs. At some point he came and put part of the mulch down but we hadn't even discussed the price and he hadn't completed the other jobs I originally contracted him for?? Then I got a message on March 26, 2025 he was coming to finish all the jobs and the mulch. March 26, 2025 came and went he never showed. March 31, 2025 I sent a message when are you coming? I got "I am not positive because we are behind now and it's gonna rain". April 7, 2025 I messaged again what day are you coming he said "I'll be there Thursday", which was April 10, 2025. Guess what ???? He NO SHOWED AGAIN, this time he said "I am sorry I am working 20 hour days, I am doing everything I can." So long story short buyer beware !!! Don't get taken advantage of like we did. We gave him multiple opportunities to do what was right and fulfill his end of the contract but alas he didn't. Nor did he give us a partial refund. So we are out $3700, and we have four jobs started and not one of them completed. Too bad the owners quick and timely YELP response to my complaint couldn't have also been displayed in his work ethic.
