Walter and Judy also taught us a dance routine for our wedding, which we proudly showed off with ease, along with all the other dance styles we had learned from them. The classes I attended were small and all women, we were made to feel very comfortable and told that this was a safe place for us to express ourselves. The dance fitness classes are fun and energetic. The pace is moderate and the teaching style is repetitive. You learn the routine in sections and repeat each section before adding on. By the end of the class you will likely be doing the routine four times in a row to music. It was only my second time trying Zumba, which is like Latin/hip-hop/world dance moves set to music. Basically shake your booty and burn fat--even more fat when you're on the sand. Rita is very cool and upbeat and fun. Check her bio -- she's from Africa, speaks a bunch of languages and also happens to be a trained opera singer--one of those people who makes your feel like you should probably do more with your life.
