Good evening this is a review of Dr. Vivek S. Gill office. And before I get started, let me be perfectly clear. I love my primary care doctor Dr. VIVEK S. GILL. It is the girls in his office that can't seem to get it together. On February 16, 2023, I went to the doctor's office he sent a prescription over to the pharmacy CVS. I use it in Apple Valley, CA. The prescription he sent requires a code so insurance will cover it. The prescription is Rybelsus it is for type 2 diabetes. It has been 12 days now, and the pharmacy can not get the information needed to fill it. I called the doctor's office and spoke to Virginia today February 28, 2023, to find out what the problem is with the Rybelsus 7 MG. Virginia, me to tell the CVS Pharmacy to call right now. Diana told me from the pharmacy to call right now and it would be handled. Went to the pharmacy at 5:40 pm and they do not understand why they can not get the code. Every time you call the office the recording comes on and says they are busy with patients and they can not come to the phone. If you call 3 times you eventually get the Doctor's exchange and you can leave messages and hope they call you back. It is so very hard to talk to the Doctor's office. It has been 12 days of no medication and my diabetes is off the charts without the Rybelsus. I feel the doctor should get new office staff that can handle the workload 5 women work there and I can not get this prescription. What I want to know is how hard is it to fax or called CVS. Even my pharmacy feels they need new employees who can handle a simple task. I will call in the morning and try to get it sent to the pharmacy. But like my friend said good luck it has already been 12 days now and nothing. If not might have to find a new doctor and office to go to. This is Ridiculous Bullshit. read more

I recently moved to the area and two weeks ago or so I went to the ER. I was instructed to see a doctor in 1 to 2 days and I tried to get an appointment here.. I was told that I could not see the doctor because it said I have LA Care. I have dis-enrolled in LA Care and had this verified several times on the phone to the point the last person told me to have the doctor's office call MediCal. I called today and told them I was not trying to create extra work for anybody but could they call MediCal. The receptionist said no and asked me if I explained my situation to MediCal Cal which I have. I got upset because all they had to do was call because I have MediCal. There is no reason why I should have gone this long without seeing a doctor. I was not able to see him because of this and might have to find another doctor even farther away now. I don't feel comfortable going back unless someone reading this review will do the right thing and call MediCal so I can see the doctor. Dr Gill is the most thorough, caring, thoughtful, efficient Dr . That I know . He pays attention to every detail . I can't say enough good things about Dr. Gill and his staff . If you have to call a few times to get a hold of someone, just know that's because they are truly busy taking care of their patients . Dr . Gill and his staff spends quality time with their patients. Rude receptionists upon arrival bad mouthing patients to one another loud enough for patients in the waiting room to hear rather than working through their paperwork struggles in a professional manner. Wait time for a broken finger exceeded 6 hours from time of arrival to actually be seen by the doc. Past experience with this office even in appointments were three hours late on one occasion which tells me they are beyond overbooked on walk-in's or appointments. Frankly I only considered this office to literally only be good for emergency visits that are just under the level of needing to go to the ER but don't even value them for that care anymore. I came in for a simple broken finger that was severely painful and swollen. Doc told me what I already knew which is go get a splint and ibuprofen... their office did not supply either for the cost of the copay and insurance bill... second hack on this offices performance given the doc spoke with me for less than two minutes once seen. Over concern of a potential infection, the dox ordered X-rays (outsourced to a very efficient and good radiologist in Victorville that did see me in a very time efficient manner and were professionals). I was informed by the doctor that he would review the X-rays and call me on the following business day to discuss x-ray results. I called their front desk that afternoon to inform them x-rays were completed and should be over to them in 24 hours but a confused receptions just pushed me towards making another appointment to simply review the results... apparently the docs time is too busy to call me and tell me the results of what I already paid for on a two minute in/out visit. Zero bedside manner from any of the staff and doctor. Someone from their office (not the doctor by the way) called me almost two weeks later to let me know the bone had a fracture in it from the X-rays... nearly two weeks after the X-rays were taken! No crap Sherlock. The fracture was quite visible even to a layman like myself when I viewed it on the CD that the radiologist gave me but I still expected a call from the doc to see if I needed to go on any antibiotics or not based on the type of break. That discussion was still not had as the gal who called me steered me towards an orthopedic specialist and was rushed to get off the phone not sharing any further details other than they know the bone is broken. Literally was a duh yup that I already knew from the pain and crack across the bone that took me two seconds to look at and identify on my personal computer from the X-rays I already had on CD... why did it take two weeks for a doc office to tell me what I already knew. The day of the X-rays I even offered to bring the CD in to expedite review of the X-rays in under 24 hours but the receptionist said no on phone and turned me away. A patient (paying customer) should not have to be this proactive but I was and still this office failed to communicate effectively with me. Felt like I got billed for a whole lot of nothing and I will no longer consider this office for an "as-needed" even for proximity or short of a ER care basis since they can't see patients in a timely fashion, can't be bothered to communicate time critical information in a proper fashion, and took forever to see me where I felt like the doctor wanted to see how fast he could come in and push me aside to the next patient. -5 stars if Yelp would have let me provide a more valid rating. read more

Dr. Gill is awesome but his office attendants are terrible. Why do these people NEVER answer the phone or return your voice messages? Bad practice. The office should hire people that are actually in attendance that do their basic clerical job of answering and returning phone calls from patients! read more

Bad doctors office, horrible service, horrible lady's, you need to fire them asap no rock.The lady told us to come any day and then she claims she doesn't remember telling us that.Telling us "you need to make an appointment" goofy ass lady.You need to fire her.The doctor is an amazing doctor it's just the lady in the front. read more

Dr.Gill is a sweetheart and genuinely cares about his patients. My dad, grandparents, and I received excellent service upon our visits. Walk-ins are welcomed and convenient! Would recommend this place to anyone read more

i don't usually leave reviews but this is warranted. if i could give zero or negative stars i absolutely would. absolutely nobody here cares about you or your health. they are dismissive, don't EVER take you seriously, i'm convinced dr. gill is just being negligent. i have been going here for the past two months with severe health issues and they don't ever take the time to listen, they just want you out of the office. when i visited today to get a referral that i should've gotten TWO WEEKS AGO, dr. gill was incredibly disrespectful about it and was getting mad at me asking questions about who i call because when i called the place they referred me to, they said they never received anything so i had to fax my referral MYSELF. on top of that, when he went to talk to the office staff about my referral, i heard them all start arguing about me saying i called yesterday and that i'm being impatient. he practically threw my referral papers at me after asking, "do you want them?" OF COURSE I DO! i have been sick for MONTHS and i feel like i am suffering! he got mad that i was crying and frustrated because of the lack of communication. also, today he never sent in my prescription for a severe ear infection. nobody ever answers the phone in this office. dr. gill is condescending to the greatest extent and i have never been more frustrated in my life with someone in the healthcare field. this is probably one of the worst places you could ever go to, he and his staff are some of the most disrespectful people i've ever met and not a single one of them should be working in healthcare. read more

We have been going to this doctor for over two years now and today is the last appointment we will ever have. What is the point of having a damn appointment if you have to wait 2HOURS PAST YOUR APPOINTMENT?? We haven't even been seen by the doctor yet, what the actual fuck! Every single appointment is like this and walk ins are taken before appointments. I am already in the process of switching the dr for our family because this is bullshit! When you actually do get seen by the doctor he is condescending and doesn't listen to your answers, he has horrible bedside manner and is borderline insulting in his comments. Stay away! read more

Just horrible. The office staff is the worst. They can't file papers correctly or in a timely manner. The insurance company they work with ( blue shield) is not at all impressed with this office. My wife is (was) a new patient with 10 years of managed pain care. Dr. Gill changed her medications without running one test. He seemed to be guessing and guessing wrong. We had nothing but problems trying to communicate our needs. I personally think this office is negligent to the point of being dangerous. read more
