I had a terrible experience with this group and completely regret going to them. I went to them to…read moreprepare a tax return and was quoted a price estimate I thought was awfully high for an individual tax return but I had extenuating circumstances this year and needed professional eyes on it. I should have left right then and there, but one of the partners came highly recommended. Of course, that partner was not who handled my case, they assigned me to an associate who seemed really slow but I figured that maybe the partners handle corporations or businesses and not just individuals. Then I was told they charge by the hour but I wasn't given an hourly rate for any of the associates or partners, but was assured that most people get their returns finished for the original price quoted. When my return was finished I was stunned to discover they charged me close to 50% over what they had quoted me and outright LIED about the original quote. They said they never quoted me the price I expected and that they always said it would be at the higher price. I would have never agreed to the higher rate, and yes I am stupid for not getting it in writing ahead of time. They completely took advantage of me and I got absolutely nothing from them I couldn't have gotten from a tax prep chain business. In fact I probably would've gotten more transparency, honesty, and better customer service from a chain.

I turned my taxes in on 3--4-25. They didn't get done in time and had to file extension. There was no communication. When I finally picked up the taxes not one person from that company apologized for the inconvenience that this caused waiting 11 weeks. I believe I had to pay for a extension to boot. This used to be a good company and get the taxes done in a timely manner. I wouldn't suggest this company any more.
