As an entrepreneur and small business person, there are tons of CPA's who talk a good game but you then get their lackey who doesn't quite know things as well. Worse yet, I had once CPA I was using who didn't even know how to personally use quickbooks online (my thought was how can he help me if he doesn't even know who to use this software). Suffice it to say having 80+ rental properties and companies with various issues I've been through about 4 CPA's to finally be recommended to David Smith and his team. I will say #1 David and his team know their stuff #2 You'll be dealing with David who is ON TOP of things #3. He's a man of knowledge and strategies and #4 He'll guide you as you need it. The final thing would be they are fairly priced. True 5 star professionals and they are always there for you to help and assist. To show you how good David Smith is, he once fired me (yeah he's a man of values and beliefs and principles) due to some issues we had (nothing personal just differences in other items).....after a year of again dealing with highly recommended CPA's who just didn't get it I went back and PLEADED to have him and his team assist me with our companies taxes. Not so good for someone who needs hand holding. I had my taxes done last year as a newbie needing a ton of help. This year having a ton of amended forms for last year and I have a new tax accountant. Perhaps better for the person or business who knows what they want, but I did explain my situation to the CPA doing my taxes. I was asked for nothing medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, gas receipts, absolutely nothing and I explained all of this to the CPA as I stated. Plus, I said that I did not know anything, PLEASE HELP ME. Also, all of my paperwork was lost by the CPA as soon as they were processed the first time. Who knows where they went and who saw all of my information, did they left the office? The CPA looked completely baffled, confused and embarrassed. Also, when my forms were processed a second time they were not left at the front desk upon my second visit as I was told they were to be held. The receptionist had to go find them. I was treated nicely until I signed on the dotted line, then I was treated as a burden when I asked more questions. I can't recommend the business for individuals who are newbies and need a lot of attention. Possibly better for bigger commercial businesses, or more likely it was the CPA who I worked with that I didn't get the attention I needed, but that is not who I am as I've reiterated to whomever is reading this review, I AM NEW TO THIS, SO YOU GUIDE ME and that didn't happen. With my new tax accountant this year I saved over $150 from what I paid my former CPA and my new tax preparer has done a TON more work than my last CPA. Not exactly sure what happened last year, bad communication, lack of interest on his part, confusion, I have no idea, but unfortunately, not a good experience for me. Sorry, nothing more to say, never ever returning and can not recommend. There is also a refrigerator filled with drinks, not sure if they are free for customers, was never offered anything. New place was offered as many times as I visited, soft drinks, water, coffee, tea, chips, candy, popped corn, cookies, etc. Always someone there to greet me, alway offering help, always offering a seat, a desk if I need it. Very friendly and very different experience than former business. Even was given a set of green beads on St. Patrick's Day to save from being pinched! LOL! Completely different experience to say the least. read more

Accounting firm lacks professional courtesy and communication skills necessary to conduct business accounting. My experience with them is for a simple personal return, they are capable, but for the simplest of business accounting they do not communicate in an acceptable or appropriate manner and will leave the most critical needs of your business unfulfilled. I recommend looking elsewhere, but if you choose to go with this firm, you better agree in writing beforehand exactly what services they will perform and at what cost. You will want to only deal with one person, and one person alone at this firm, as if you don't, you will get different stories from different people, with the owner playing the "I don't know where you got that from" and "I'm quite certain I didn't tell you that," card. Very disappointed with the unprofessionalism of this firm. read more
