I'm not sure how a psychiatric practice can lack so much compassion and grace. I wouldn't recommend this doctor or his assistant to anyone.

Like many guys, those words are about as welcome to me as "we have to talk." But I went, and all I can say is WOW! Guys, this is worth doing. Joyce is very intuitive and really able to get to the heart of a situation. Barry is a superb listener and counselor. They both have so much life experience and experience doing this with what must be many hundreds of couples by now that things move very fast. You WILL feel significant changes in yourself and especially in your relationship. My wife and I had fallen into being parents almost all the time, and husband & wife only rarely. Barry & Joyce gave us specific ideas to fix that, and went further to tell us why parenting would be better if we spent more time every day on our relationship. We each got really clear about what we needed from the other. By the end of the workshop, when I told my wife what I vowed to do, she said: "Wow." We went to a session at their house, with four other couples. All interesting people with a variety of issues. I watched with interest as Barry & Joyce met each couple where they were and helped them move forward. By the end of the session one couple wanted to get married, and they performed a legal ceremony on the spot! Excellent vegetarian food all weekend. You can camp if you want - they have a beautiful property for hikes. A handy hot tub to look at the stars., If you want to strengthen your relationship, I cannot recommend this highly enough. Five stars. We took the kids to their week-long family camp in Oregon in the summer, and I've been to two of Barry's annual men-only sessions. So why only four stars? That's easy. If I gave them five stars, Yelp would move my review to "Not Recommended." Go to Shared Heart Foundation, click on the "Not Recommended" reviews. and see many recent raves by experienced Yelpers with many other reviews, all pushed to where you aren't likely to see them. FIVE STARS FOR BARRY & JOYCE VISSELL AND SHARED HEART FOUNDATION!

First of all , her office is very private (same address as before it looks like ) and never are u in there with more than one other patient . Therefore , unless this guy hung out outside her door I highly doubt he had interaction with many other patients . Also , im not sure if he is a parent who just didn't agree with her opinion , but as a confused and rebellious kid - I feel like it's important for me to say that when I think back to then tens of therapists my estranged father sent me too (because he was desperately searching for someone who would file "being an angsty teen child of divorce" under "must be committed"), she was the first one who helped me make sense of my emotions . She never once made me feel like a bad kid , and after years of dreading pointless therapy , I acryslly looked forward to seeing her and felt that , for the first time , it wasn't just a waste of money talking to a friend . That was always what I would say - "you're throwing money away I have friends I can talk to...it's not like I bottle up my emotions ". But she was smarter than any specialist I had seen before and let me tell you - I walked in there feeling helpless and not knowing how to express myself - and left feeling that she was the true translator between parent and child - that if for whatever reason my plan and compromise with my parents didn't work that she would be there to make sure I felt understood and validated . This woman and her skillhas stuck with me through the years - I Can't tell you the amount of times I've recommended her to people . She was pregnant at the time ldk if that could've changed her outlook on anything but imo it could only make her understand both sides better . So take it from a true patient - this woman left an impression so big - and on a child no less - that I wholeheartedly dismiss the previous review (SEE your way out please !) and demand that if your child is having issues , u at least give her a chance .

Got me on medication that made me throw up for weeks even after I stopped seeing him and refused to switch it. Cancelled a very needed appointment less than 24hrs with no notice. Did not offer a referral, or to refill medications, and basically left me to suffer saying I needed more "serious" help despite me explaining why hospitals don't help me. Which is illegal to do by the way! I met a new psychiatrist and she got me on new meds that worked asap and she was far more helpful, knowledgeable, and caring than Tallman ever was. Not to mention, she promised me I would never see a hospital BECAUSE SHE DOES HER JOB. Tallman is lazy and picks and chooses who he wants to actually care for. He is not a good person, let alone a good doctor. Leaves all scheduling and communication between patients and doctor up to poor staff who are overwhelmed. Do not recommend whatsoever unless you are looking to be absolutely miserable. Tallman does not deserve to be a doctor, let alone should not be caring for people who need actual help. So many better options out there!

She is blazingly intelligent, kind and compassionate, and her intuitiveness is off the charts. Nine years ago, in 2016, I brought one of my kids to Dr. Dass for a psychological evaluation because of increasing anxiety and motivation issues. He received her spot on diagnosis, an on-target combination of medications, and after six years under her care, he is today, miraculously, enjoying college in the UK. Also, in 2016, after witnessing Dr. Dass's positive effects on my son, I requested a psychological profile workup for myself. I was dealing with an inordinate amount of ongoing, long term stress at the time, and I was a wreck. What impeccable timing. Dr. Dass, quite literally, saved me. Her psychological evaluation shed so much light on so many aspects of my life, from childhood to present. It was stunning, hopeful, a little scary, and very freeing. Since that evaluation nine years ago, Dr. Dass has been a consistent, integral and indispensable architect of healing, growth and serenity in my life. I am forever grateful. Also, kudos to Dr. Dass's professional staff. Her office manager has gone out of her way to deftly accommodate me over the years -- every interaction I've ever had with staff/therapist/doctor has been positive and gracious.
