Got me on medication that made me throw up for weeks even after I stopped seeing him and refused to switch it. Cancelled a very needed appointment less than 24hrs with no notice. Did not offer a referral, or to refill medications, and basically left me to suffer saying I needed more "serious" help despite me explaining why hospitals don't help me. Which is illegal to do by the way! I met a new psychiatrist and she got me on new meds that worked asap and she was far more helpful, knowledgeable, and caring than Tallman ever was. Not to mention, she promised me I would never see a hospital BECAUSE SHE DOES HER JOB. Tallman is lazy and picks and chooses who he wants to actually care for. He is not a good person, let alone a good doctor. Leaves all scheduling and communication between patients and doctor up to poor staff who are overwhelmed. Do not recommend whatsoever unless you are looking to be absolutely miserable. Tallman does not deserve to be a doctor, let alone should not be caring for people who need actual help. So many better options out there!

Especially if you are in the recovery community, or seeking treatment for symptoms related to historical trauma, proceed with extreme caution if you choose to see this provider. I don't need to go into detail, because frankly, it's already been done for me by the multiple other reviewers who describe feeling judged, shamed, belittled and unsafe. When I left my first and last appointment with Dr. Borchert, I was physically shaking and nauseated, with significant brain fog, and barely able to check off a grocery list. I consulted my sponsor, therapist, support group and others, prayed, and meditated, but 30 plus hours after leaving her office, I am still not completely back to baseline. All of these are symptoms of being retraumatized- by a mental health professional whose purpose and duty is to create a safe space, build a therapeutic relationship, and ultimately assist in recovering from/coping with these exact kinds of issues and experiences. I cannot overstate what a profound betrayal it is to experience this with a licensed and educated professional from whom I sought help, in a setting in which trust and vulnerability is essential for effective treatment. Despite the lengthy replies to previous reviews, in which Dr. Borchert attempts to explain and rationalize this behavior, there is absolutely nothing that would make this conduct acceptable. Not only is it ethically questionable, but perhaps more importantly, it's potentially destabilizing and dangerous for the vulnerable adults who seek her care. It is particularly dangerous for patients with a history of substance use disorder. It was important for me to share this, because it was only after reading the accounts of other reviewers (many parts of which are almost identical to my own) that I finally felt some relief and validation, and was able to stop questioning my own sanity and emotional experience. The common denominator in all of these reviews is Dr. Borchert herself- and that should tell you all you need to know.

She is blazingly intelligent, kind and compassionate, and her intuitiveness is off the charts. Nine years ago, in 2016, I brought one of my kids to Dr. Dass for a psychological evaluation because of increasing anxiety and motivation issues. He received her spot on diagnosis, an on-target combination of medications, and after six years under her care, he is today, miraculously, enjoying college in the UK. Also, in 2016, after witnessing Dr. Dass's positive effects on my son, I requested a psychological profile workup for myself. I was dealing with an inordinate amount of ongoing, long term stress at the time, and I was a wreck. What impeccable timing. Dr. Dass, quite literally, saved me. Her psychological evaluation shed so much light on so many aspects of my life, from childhood to present. It was stunning, hopeful, a little scary, and very freeing. Since that evaluation nine years ago, Dr. Dass has been a consistent, integral and indispensable architect of healing, growth and serenity in my life. I am forever grateful. Also, kudos to Dr. Dass's professional staff. Her office manager has gone out of her way to deftly accommodate me over the years -- every interaction I've ever had with staff/therapist/doctor has been positive and gracious. It is a privilege to give my highest recommendation to Dr. Dass for any psychiatric needs.

Back when I was a child though only boys were diagnosed Autistic, and Asperger's wasn't really known too much- especially with girls. Though teachers always communicated to my parents how I seemed to be falling short of "normal," no one ever thought to have me involved in psychiatry or psychology as a child. As an adult though I have been involved in both for over 3 decades. I felt like a guinea pig as they tested every drug and latest techniques on me. I was given many misdiagnoses. Doctor Miner is the first one who finally put it all together, correctly diagnosing all my issues. Then after that it was a matter of working on my med regimen. She has a quiet and naturally calming and good natured demeanor. Doctor Miner is also intelligent and insightful. I haven't seen her work with children and families, however I can easily imagine how perfect she is.
