So far all the teachers my daughter has dealt with at Edu-prize have been amazing and you are one of the lucky ones if you are able to get your kids into this school!

Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. My daughter's teacher, Ms. Bradley, was consistently unkind and lacked compassion--not just toward my child, but toward the entire class. She does not have the patience or heart needed to teach young children. Attempting to address concerns was frustrating from the start. The assistants to the vice principal and even the principal themselves refused to speak with me by phone and would only communicate through email. I ultimately had to escalate two separate issues to the superintendent. One major issue involved a classmate who caused physical harm to three students. Parents were not informed about the situation at all. When I raised my concerns, the school cited "student privacy." I made it clear I was not asking for the student's name or personal information--I simply wanted to be informed and reassured that my child was safe. When chairs are being thrown during an episode, parents deserve to know what precautions are being taken to ensure student safety, both in the classroom and throughout the school. Other parents posted how their kids legs were being clawed at when the kid was hiding under the table during his episode. And not one email went out from the teacher nor the principal. The second issue involved the school's use of i-Ready testing as the sole basis for rewards. Regardless of a child maintaining good grades all year, if they do not show improvement on i-Ready testing, they are excluded from rewards. Ms. Bradley held an ice cream party for students who showed improvement from the beginning of the year. My daughter's math i-Ready score stayed the same, so she was excluded--despite earning strong grades all year. She came home crying, saying, "I'm so dumb" and "I'm not worthy" because she didn't get to participate. Only four students were excluded, including my daughter. I showed her her report card with A's and B's and reassured her that she worked incredibly hard and is absolutely not dumb. When I followed up about the i-Ready scores not being posted, I emailed the teacher after waiting a week. I was told the school does not go by grades because i-Ready scores help maintain the school's A rating and evaluate teacher performance. I took this to mean that because my daughter did not show improvement in every subject on i-Ready, she was denied a reward because she did not make the school look better nor the teacher look better. I want to be clear that this is not a reflection of all teachers at Eduprize. Unfortunately, we ended up with a 2nd grade teacher who showed no empathy toward her students. There is a parent group monitored by school administration where parents are not allowed to freely share concerns or experiences. Because of this, another parent created a separate group. In that group, several parents have shared similar experiences regarding Ms. Bradley. One parent posted how she denied the bathroom to her son and he asked 3 separate times, he then peed himself in front of the entire class and she decided to blame him "you didn't tell me it was an emergency". It is heartbreaking to read what these 8-year-old children went through. Many kids began to hate going to school, which shows the profound impact a teacher can have on young students. No child should feel unworthy or unsafe at school.

Relationally: every staff member has been amazing from the receptionist, admin, principle, teachers. They certainly are experienced with Elementary kids in every way you would hope & expect. Gentle, caring, calm, firm, and redirecting them in the right direction. The Principle Mr.Butcher has been there 4 years and leads the staff in professionalism, positivity, excellence & is also very relational. He learns every Child's name & is there at drop off or pick up making sure no one is overlooked. I can imagine he carries a huge load of responsibilities yet he has taken time to meet with us even over small things & ensure that together we are on the same page with our child's education. He was born for this role. I've never seen someone with so much grace to lead as principle as I see in this guy. We are thankful for the opportunity to have our child here. The staff is wonderful! The classes have optional tutoring for those who need it & can offer advanced studies as well for kids who need more challenge. They have strict safety guidelines & are diligent with informing parents about every thing of any minor concern. Very impressed! Love this school.

The school has relatively new principal, whose reputation among staff has been affected by ongoing concerns, rumors, and questions about leadership stability. Due to declining student enrollment, the administration has begun making staffing cuts, including the release of several employees, among them the principal's assistant. Some employees who receive lower compensation than regular teachers are perform teaching duties. Additionally, teaching assistants are being hired with only a high school education, raising questions about the level of professional support and educational expertise provided in the classroom. Overall, low quality of the educational environment , bad discipline .The school accepts students who have experienced serious disciplinary problems or have been suspended from other schools. While every student deserves an opportunity to receive an education, accepting students with significant behavioral challenges requires appropriate support, clear expectations, and consistent intervention.

They have up to date curriculums, free breakfast and lunch for every student, good sports available for all grade levels, after school clubs for older kids, and a fair choice of extra curricular activities, like: dance, music, pe, karate, ect. I love that the campus is fenced in. Teachers are nice and happy. Really great for the kids and push reading. They have excelled my kids even though they are at a more excelled level then their peers. They don't get lost in the class but encouraged with harder materials. The downfalls: bus transportation is not organized. Don't show up at stops on time. Sometimes an hour late. The drivers don't control the kids very well either. The campus looks run down. Playgrounds are small and no field. The cafeteria is outdoors. Very hot during the summer and very cold during the winter. The outdoor portion only works for two months out of the school year. The office does not answer their phones and when voicemails are left they do not return your calls. Hard to get a hold of on the phone. In person is fine.

We were in their wonderful homeschool program before we started attending there full time. We have one child also in their special education program and he is thriving! They care not just about their education, but about discipleship, and helping build future Christian leaders. We have participated in several sports, and have been impressed with the Christ like attitudes that we have seen. We highly recommend this school. It is a wonderful size too, where the kids know the teachers and don't get lost in the crowd.

The teaching methods were beneficial and allowed my children to mean other like minded students. To date, CUSD80 has grown to 80 square miles and contains 31 elementary. 5 junior, 2 middle, 5 high schools, 1 secondary, 1 online school and 4 alternative schools. These include Chandler Traditional, gifted classes, elite performance school and Hill Learning Academy. This district offers assessments, extra curricular activities, before and after school care, lunch programs and transportation. An advisory board and tax credit donations are also available. I would recommend residents look into all the choices before making a decision on which school suits your students needs.
