This is my favorite smoke shop ever because it's not just a smoke shop... it's like Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. It has the coolest stuff ever. I bought a giant ashtray that's almost as tall as I am that looks like a cigarette and a cigarette case with a lighter and stickers, patches, all kinds of shit. The two guys who (I think) own it are SOOO AWESOME. They are really rad people and good people too. The store stays open late and it's the best, so go there right now. read more

My go to shop! Ive traveled from venice beach to this shop mid day, gridlock traffic because i wont go anywhere else! Best little shop ever. They literally carry anything and everything you could possibly need! read more

I'm not a smoker so I have generally only gone to smoke shops as a tag along friend. I was looking to buy sage and my girlfriend suggested I go to a smoke shop, Giftworx is close to my house so it was the easy solution. Upon entering the shop, it immediately felt more relaxed and inviting than any other shop I'd been in. I didn't get the guys name who was working but he was very helpful and very personable. The overall energy of the shop was really quite nice. Other shops that I'd been in, the staff always seemed to hate their jobs. I will certainly shop here again as well as refer my friends. read more

The candles here are worth every penny. I have bought a few of their giant candles ($15 each) and they smell amazing. The vanilla scent is my favorite. Their shop kitty, Chloe is beautiful and friendly and the staff is kind and helpful. read more

Love this spot I've been coming here for years, always helpful and informative. I love their incense and they are in a convinient location.

For prices on various items you might go there for, it's great! Better than most others. Where I give it only 3 stars is the terrible customer service. Your mileage may vary, but I went on 2 different evenings and, both times, the people were quite unfriendly. :( They couldn't be bothered to crack a smile. I felt like I was disrupting them, rather than feeling like I was welcome there. Guy/evening #1 was a little better, but the 2nd evening/guy #2 was horrible. Also, for a head shop to be really great, in my opinion anyway, they should have a mix of both vintage and newer stuff.. to please the present generation but also older hippies who were around in the 60's and 70's and wish to find a remnant.. a shop.. that they feel is "home". Thats what I love about Captain Eds, over in Van Nuys. They kept much of their vintage style.I'd like to hear some Grateful Dead, or Jimi or Doors or Janis... at least sometimes. But most shops, including this one, play mostly present day, and usually rap. I want to be taken back in time when I go to shops like these. Not "reminded" that I'm in 2008. But that's a minor quibble. Back to this place: I asked them if they had any Janis Joplin shirts. The one guy there practically laughed at me! Like I was crazy or something. ;p Yea, not a pleasant shopping experience, but they do have really good prices. Just don't expect to be made to feel like they want you as a customer. read more

Unfriendly service (especially at night) and WAYYYYYYYYY overpriced. Save yourself a headache and shop somewhere else. There are much better places literally down the street. read more

Just got back from this place. I love the vibe and selection. From the incense to the porn to the smoking accessories. I've got to say though, some white establishments sell small bundles of sage for $13 and this place had nicely sized bundle for $4.95. I love that. The guy Ian, was super nice and super helpful ( reason I'm leaving this review actually ) would totally go back. (: read more

Awesome shop I went in looking for some hookah and they gladly named all the flavors they had. Also I was looking for certain flavors so the following week I showed up and they had gotten all the ones I was looking for that they didn't have the week before. read more

Great place if you need anything hard to find. Great selection of products. If you are in the la area and are in a pinch, they got it.

Drove twenty minutes to get Vivazen from this place and it's definitely missing the main ingredient. I should have known something wasn't right bc the bottles are usually sealed and it wasn't. Won't return based on this experience. Waste of time and money smh read more
