Given its proximity to Disneyworld, the Wizard Gift Shop sells many Disney shirts, backpacks, hoodies, pins, magnets and other souvenirs at half the price of the Disney stores! As I was visiting Orlando during NYE, I was able to find affordable and equally stylish shirts with " Disneyworld 2025". They also often have discounts, such as buy two shirts for $25 or $28, and have new arrivals at least monthly! Will definitely be back next time I'm going to Disneyworld!

The outside of the building caught my eye!…read more It is so flashy. This building stands out in town lol I knew right when I saw it, that I wanted to check it out. The bright colors and paint all over the building spoke to me. Inside, it is pretty similar to other gift shops int he area. My hotel was on the same street as this gift shop. There are a total of 4 gifts shops (to my knowledge) in the same area. I hit all 4 just to check them out and compare. Also, I needed umbrellas, socks, and other miscellaneous things during my trip. I came in here looking for an umbrella and ended up looking at other random things. Very bright and big sign outside…read more A lot of tourist gifts here, but nothing really that stood out as a deal other than some of the t-shirts (did not find the ones for $6 like on the giant sign outside). Yes, the pens I saw at the Publix were a dollar cheaper here, so if you want to get a few points of memorabilia from the trip, this isn't a bad place to do it. Toys, luggage, shot glasses and more... not all of it Disney or Universal related, there was a fair amount of just random Florida and Orlando merchandise, too. They didn't have the bead/charm items we were looking for, so we moved on, but others may find interest here (and cheaper than some of the parks though not necessarily any indication of quality or style).

That part is fair, and I respect that. What was disappointing was the interaction itself. The door was still unlocked, another customer appeared to still be receiving assistance, and before even a greeting, we were immediately met with, "We are closed." Customer service is often about delivery just as much as policy. A simple friendly explanation--or even directing us to another location--would have made a huge difference. To be fair, when we called the second location, Meghan was incredibly kind and let us know they were open later, which we appreciated. This review isn't about expecting service after closing--it's about first impressions and how customers are spoken to. From a customer service perspective, this could have been handled so differently: a quick hello, an apology that the door was still unlocked, a polite mention of store hours, and perhaps even letting us know the second location was open later. That kind of interaction would have left us wanting to come back. The store looked nice and clean- the response of the other store employee is why there's a strong score. The website has no email.

Polka Dotz with a Z…read more Polka Dotz is a fun little shop that sells a whole bunch of licensed novelty items like those from the Sanrio collection, Disney, and Webkins. You can also find designer items there like Vera Bradley bags. The Good: Lots of Cute: If there's one thing my feminine side really goes nuts for, it is all things cute. I was able to find some really awesome disney items, as well as Sanrio novelties that just made my little inner princess gush. Good Price: While not incredibly cheap, this place has some good deals especially on collectibles. There's a lot of stuff here that would only be available in catalogs, and when you factor in shipping costs, it is definetly better to do your shopping here. The Bad: Too much Stuff, Too little space: There is so much stuff in here, that it is hard to get around the shop without feeling that you are about to knock into something. There are also way too many high shelves. Polka Dotz has a very nice assortment of unique novelties and gifts, and is a great place to shop for gifts for that special collector.
