Got lots of blondees and galas. The place felt a bit under lock and key but it sounds like people have been stealing extra apples which is a shame. You pull up to a cone and staff member presents you with a list of apple varieties and bag sizes. There are two sizes of bags for picking, the smaller one is $20 cash, $20.73 with card. You can fill that bag with many apples! You drive your car to the apple picking area. When done, you head to the checkout area where the area is blocked with another cone. After passing that area, there is another area to park if you want to go to their bakery truck and barn that has pre picked apples, honey and jams. I ordered a 12 pack of apple cider donuts and they were delicious. We ate a few in their beer garden area. I would come back again for apple picking.

The entry way is large with plenty of goodies to purchase if you're interested, including apple cider donuts, pumpkins, fresh honey, pies, and more. You better believe we left with multiple items. So good! Once you pass the barn entrance you come upon a huge open space with a playground, chicken coupon, basketball station, swings, and giant house filled with corn kernels for kids to play in. The landscape is wonderful with little rolling hills and tunnels for kiddos to run on as well. Behind this section you'll find rows and rows of apples for picking. And the most spectacular part, in my opinion, is the area with all of the farm animals! They're so nicely laid out on a path the explore with clever little houses/set ups. And to point out again, everything is very well-kept! Other highlights to note: easy and ample parking, picnic tables to hang out by for a snack/lunch, a food truck on site as well as other eats you can purchase from the farm inside of the barn entrance. We made our way down there and paid the admission and were each given a small bag to pick apples. Most of them were roped off except for the last few rows. In the way to that they had some really cute photo opps in a Zinnia field and in a sunflower field. The lady in the store yelled at my son in law for standing by a rope to look at the cider. Other than a few missteps, we thought it was worth the trip. The only downfall is there was no food to eat except for snacks. The donuts are only on Sat. And Sunday.

The strawberries were fairly small compared to the store, but they're super sweet. They have a market to buy various goods like donuts and drinks and housewares. One thing I'd recommend is them adding the strawberry donuts to the berry checkout counter as many people wanted the donuts and the small shop got crammed fast and checkout took a while. Thankfully I asked an employee at the donut counter if I could pay cash instead of waiting another 10-15 customer to checkout and they helped me.

I see crates of commercial tomatos that come from the produce auction. I think they grow very little of their own produce anymore, maybe late corn and green beans. I think most of it is the same stuff you get at the grocery store but at a higher price. Just like farmers markets beware that a lot of these places are selling stuff at higher prices stating they are locally grown. When I see crates from produce that is purchased in bulk at auction, we'll if you think your being hosed, yeah you are. The super early corn at this place should be your sign. Why would they be so blessed, and it does not taste the same as the later, real wisconsin corn. Tomatos are over priced supermarket tomatos.

Schuett Farms did not disappoint! The price was good ($8, and they aren't cash only!), the staff was friendly, and the mini donuts were outstanding! We were all pleasantly surprised at how affordable everything here was, I appreciated that they were trying to keep things economical for families. The maze was quite challenging, with 10 checkpoints (we only found half of them) and miles of corn to navigate through. I do wish they had staff inside the maze helping ensure people did not trample the corn and it would be nice if they had some trash cans inside to help with the trash that garbage people left inside the maze. Another disappointment: There was an option to "play" on your phone but someone forgot to pay for the QR code and that portion of the game was not operational. Technology is great, but if you don't follow through, it ends up being worse than not having it at all.

The selection of squashes/gourds/pumpkins really impressed me. I'm certainly not a connoisseur, but they had pumpkins ranging from golf ball sized to approximately 300 pounds (not an exaggeration), all kinds of eating squashes, and piles of decorating gourds. They even had hay bales in both regular and mini sizes so you could really up your fall decorating game. The farm was surprisingly clean for being an actual farm, and everyone was friendly. There are wagons, but they are basically all always in use, so bring your own! I'm really excited to come back next year when tiny tot can walk!

This place is great for a weekend trip to the country. The drive to the Apple stand is beautiful and fall with all of the leaves changing you really feel like you're getting away from the city. I personally made a special trip out this year just to get cider and Macintosh apples. One of the downsides to the apple stand is that they only accept cash or personal check.
