My poor little cavapoo got ringworm from this groomer. They did not own up to anything. My dog has not been in contact with any other pets or humans other than our family (all ringworm free) and developed the outbreak 2 days after her grooming (11/19/22). No more waiting 3 weeks and paying an arm and a leg and the blood of my unborn first child!!!! I decided to try this groomer based on their great reviews and the fact they do cats too. They are cheaper than my previous groomer so I decided to give them a try. Now they might be great at grooming dogs (??) but they have no clue what they are doing when it comes to grooming cats. To begin this place is beyond dirty. Hair and dust everywhere and furniture that's falling apart (take a look at the pictures, and thats only one corner of the place). They only have a small grooming area in the back and they already had two huge St. Bernard's back there. I was scared for my cat, but was assured he'd be fine as they co groom them all the time and that when cats are done they put them separately in the kitchen. Come again??? I wanted to run out of this place and take my cat elsewhere but it's hot and he needed a shave down and it took a week to get this appointment. I requested a lion cut and I went over the details with a groomer, she was nice and explained everything in great detail. When I go back a couple hours later to pick him up I receive a ratty Persian with dirty eyes, clipper marks, and super uneven mane, Mohawk and Booties. He smelled the same going in than out. Later at home upon inspection he had cuts everywhere and his nipples were all cut. Groomer says it was hard to shave him because he's really old and has saggy skin. Umm he's 6. Seemed like a cop out for the terrible job. I ask for them to clean him up and the groomer was nice and took him back and worked on him again. It was slightly less bad and I didn't feel like arguing then so I left. It was an absolute waste of $70 dollars. Stay away from this dirty subpar place. I'll stick to my usual groomer and pay $20 more for a perfect looking and smelling cat. (Note I attached more photos of how terrible and dirty and hurt they left my cat!!) read more

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Their website says $10 walk-in nail trim. I came in with two dogs, she told me it would be $20. After I gave her my card, she rang me up for $40. When I asked if that was correct, she said yes it is. I don't care for a refund but am affronted that they would mislead and steal from a customer over $20. I am pretty sure I was dealing with the owner Sharon. If that is the true price- change your website or at least out up a sign. read more

They were able to get me in on the same day so I decided to try it. When I arrived, the place looked clean (as clean as can be with hair flying around all day) and the staff was very friendly. My nerves were immediately eased. Kim groomed my 15 year old cat with a lion cut and did an amazing job! My cat was totally calm when I picked her up and I felt like Kim really treated her with attention and care. Super convenient location and prices seemed fair. I take my poochie, one-eyed Jack, to Gidgets going on 4 years now. I have had various groomers and various cuts on my Pomeranian/chihuahua mix- we mix up his style and clip but he always comes back clean, smelling good, rocking a bandana. As he is a rescue, I always let them know he is potentially volatile with other dogs, and may be a little nervous with people too. It has never been a problem and they are always really good with him and accepting of the problem child nature. I appreciate that! My last grooming was with Brittney and she was super concerned to get his clip just right! I got an appointment the same day and he was in and out in 2 hours- looking good, happy. I tried Gidgets grooming on my quest for a groomer in Denver. They were rated high in the google reviews. I could only get an appointment during the week, which is difficult to get there during the day since I work and live downtown. But, I thought, if I can find a good groomer, I don't care where I have to drive to. I dropped her off and was told how long it would be till I could come and get her. When I arrived to pick her up, I may have been a little early, but I waited 15-20 minutes for them to finish. I understand that she's got a lot of hair, but a better estimation of time would have helped. When I was paying and leaving, I realized that the owner was not the one who groomed her, even though that who I had asked for. The gentlemen ringing me up, was a non-conversational guy and there were several helpers bringing dogs back and forth. I'm not sure who actually groomed my dog, which is something I like to know. When we left, she was shedding like crazy. It happens when they don't take the time to de-fur her. Washing her just loosened the fur. I won't be back, because of the grooming job they did and the friendliness of the staff (or the lack there of). read more

Now let me say,, that I never take them anywhere as they stress out easily when the carrier comes into view of them be it the vet or the groomer.... as that is the only time they have to get into the carrier. I am not usually the type to review after the first visit but I am super impressed with this groomer. I inherited a cat with some really bad matting. They were able to get me in the next day and took great care of him! I believe my groomers name was Harley. She explained everything ahead of time and my cat actually seemed to enjoy it. The receptionist Sandy is a sweetheart and was fun to talk to! All of the other pets that I saw coming out of the grooming area seemed really happy too. Even though I hadn't taken our pup here in almost a year, they remembered us when we walked in. I have been taking my two dogs to Sharon @ Gidget's for many years. They are/were always happy to see her, and they always get/got great care and appropriate grooming at a good price. Ishmael, my briard recently passed away, but I remember how caring and gentle Sharon was with him. He was deaf and was also vision impaired, but she walked him through each step of his grooming process with such love and gentleness - EVERY TIME. I have never met such a loving and talented groomer as Sharon at Gidgets Grooming. We rescued a 10 year old Shih-Tzu mix who hadn't had a bath or haircut in 4 years! and took her immediately to Gidgets. Sharon had skills we had never even imagined. She was able to remove Annie's coat in one single piece! Her coat was so matted and dense that it looked like a pelt (see photos). Annie emerged full of joy to be freed from that "straight-jacket" she had been forced to wear and is now the best pet ever! Sharon was loving and tender to Annie throughout the miraculous process and was ready to adopt this sweet doggie if we didn't. Now THAT's someone who loves her work! NEVER AGAIN! Sharon, as the owner, you should be ashamed of yourself. You should never yell at a dog when they are in a strange environment. I'm so glad I showed up early and was able to see how she was treated but I'm so sad that I put her through the stress of being in your care. I sure hope that Val never treated her that way but now I'm not going to take the change and won't be back. Lucy is a rescue and has likely never been groomed before coming to live with us. This was just the 3rd time she's been in and it's still new to her. Yes, she's a rambunctious 2 yrs old terrier. I gave her some calming medicine before bringing her in and if you had started working on her at the time of our appointment, it wouldn't have worn off before you finished. Your treatment of her today actually bordered on animal cruelty. I would encourage people to always pop in during the grooming to see what is actually happening. read more

This is the 3rd or 4th time that we've taken the boys to Gidgets to get groomed. Basically, we asked that they get their fur cut short, you know,cooler for them in this hot summer weather. We picked them up, and they looked good, no nicks, etc. The problem is.... they were both very skittish for the rest of the day, as well as the next. We don't know what happened, but we (husband and I) did not like seeing them this way. They didn't want us to leave them once we got home, were very "clingy," and just not in good shape. Granted, I didn't mind the "clinginess," but something obviously upset them. So, now the downgrade to 2 stars. Must admit, too, that I don't think we will be bringing them back there. read more

I took my dog to Gidgets three times (I kept hoping they would get better!) Once they CUT my dog and didn't tell me about it! (I found a big gash on her chest after I picked her up. ) They never cut her the way I asked - once they just shaved her BALD and charged me $75. Upon dropping our miniature schnauzer off at Gidget's, we specifically told the groomer that we liked the body cut short but to keep the schnauzer face cut. We returned to find his entire beard had been cut all the way off. She claimed it was matted and needed to be cut. I will admit there was some matting, but nothing more than I've had to (and been able to) brush out before. I think the appropriate action would have been to call and ask us if we would like it cut, or to leave it matted and we would have to brush it out ourselves. I was devastated when instead she just proceeded to cut the entire thing off. He looks ridiculous and needless to say we will be finding a new groomer. read more

I am feeling extremely let down with the unprofessionalism at Gidgets. I have been searching everywhere for a groomer who can come to my home to trim my cat's nails. I called Gidgets to see if they could do this, and while they do not typically do home visits, after a brief chat about my cat's special circumstances and realizing how close I live to their shop, Sharon offered to come by at 11:30 the following morning. I was very appreciative, offered to pay extra, and confirmed that she was comfortable doing so. She said it was no problem and said, see you tomorrow. 11:50 rolls around and she is a no show, so I called to see if she was lost, etc. There was a different women who informed me that no, Sharon is still at the shop. Sharon would not get on the phone, told the lady on the phone to tell me it was supposed to be tomorrow, but could come after 1:30 today. I agreed to a 2:00 meeting, after all, she was doing me the favor! I confirmed the date and time, insured she had my address and correct number to avoid another misunderstanding. Here I am at 2:30, still waiting for her to show. I've called 2 times and now they are not answering. She blew off not one but two appointments and now won't call back to rectify her mistake. I hate that my time has been wasted and am highly disappointed in the run around these ladies have given me. Unprofessional and inconsiderate. Anyone know of a mobile cat groomer? read more
