I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Westchester Tent was disappointing from…read morestart to finish. The tent that was delivered was old and in extremely poor condition. The edges were literally disintegrating, with pieces of plastic and loose threads hanging off throughout the tent. It looked worn out and well past the point where it should still be rented to customers. Even more concerning was the way it was secured. Instead of professional-looking weights, the tent was held down with broken plastic buckets filled with concrete. The buckets had jagged, exposed edges and no covers, and several were placed directly along the edge of a walkway where guests--including young children--were walking throughout the event. In my opinion, this created an unnecessary safety hazard. I called hoping the company would address my concerns or offer a solution. Instead, the owner was rude, defensive, and confrontational from the start. There was no acknowledgment of the condition of the equipment or the safety concerns I raised. I chose Westchester Tent because the price was a little lower than some competitors, but this experience proved that saving a few dollars wasn't worth it. Between the poor condition of the equipment, the unsafe setup, and the lack of customer service by the owner himself, I would never use this company again and cannot recommend them.

We chose Westchester Tent and Party rental for an event we had last year. Of course, this is very helpful considering that many companies just post a catalog of items and no pricing, and that makes it hard to compare the value. Anyway, we signed up and paid for the rental without any issues and the staff was very helpful in getting everything sorted. Day before the event, the delivery was made pretty much without issue. They did forget one of the big tables, but guaranteed us that it would arrive hours before the party started, and they did deliver on that promise. My one and only gripe with Westchester Party Rental was that the equipment we got was in HORRENDOUS condition. Every single chair we got was dirty or marked up with black and rust colored stains and the tables were deformed, rusted, banged up, and chewed up. Two people got splinters opening them up. I called twice to let them know about the crappy quality tables and chairs, but nobody was around to help. I also never got a follow up call regarding the issue either before or after our party. I guess they figured "we got paid, end of transaction". Needless to say, it was a real disappointment to get equipment that was in such poor shape, especially considering the money we paid. Would not use these guys again and would advise any potential customers to check the photos showing the garbage they gave us.

Our Condominium in Tarrytown had a rental agreement with All Party Tents for a set up in September…read more A week or so before the event we called to confirm the set up. They had trouble finding the reservation but eventually found it. During the phone call the woman on the phone company started to remember our set up (we had used them a year ago for the same set up). She said something like "oh this was a very difficult set-up- we had to bring items down two sets of stairs, etc." She then said we were being rude on the phone and proceeded to cancel our set up just like that. This put us in a very bad situation and we ended up paying 30% more to another company due to the short notice for our set up. This company was very unprofessional with us and we will never use them again. We encourage anyone looking to do business with them to look elsewhere and we say this based on our extremely poor treatment by this company as a returning customer.
