Good Afternoon,
Firstly, I must apologize for bothering you all in your Westminster Maryland store, store number 109. I stopped in your store this afternoon, on 15 July at about 1:30 PM.
You did not seem to be all that busy, but after trying to shop in your store I could understand why. It appears that Customer Service is something that you no longer specialize in at all; it is totally nonexistent in your store here.
The order that I was trying to fill in your store should of been about $230. Because of you not having anything that I could find myself, or my inability to find myself, my store order only came to only $65.10. One thing in particular that I wanted/needed was six cubes of 24 Dr Pepper Soda, you did not have that, only 12 packs? Myself, being quite handicapped, I did like being able to use your handicap scooter/shopping cart, and for that I am thankful.
I did purchase some Lunch Meat, which was packaged at the factory, because it appeared that your Delicatessen area was maybe closed? You had quite a bit of stuff stacked up in front of your delicatessen counter, making it appear as if it was not open, even though it was an employee back there doing something? Even though I did purchase a good deal of this prepackaged lunchmeat, with me not being able to find any Martin's Butter Bread, after I got home I found that lunchmeat was useless without any bread to put it on?
I did find on the stem tomatoes, and purchased just under 2 pounds of them, I think? You see, I had to pack them myself, and also weigh them myself on a scale that had nothing on it about it being certified? I now see that you are absolutely 100% self-serve, no employees other than a few cashiers. Other than myself, I believe there were a few other customers in civilian clothes. Two of the other of your other employees were in fact customers at the time, even though they were fully dressed as Giant Employees, name tag and all. I did approach one of them for help, sternly told by her that she was off-duty, and that I would have to find someone else to help me? This was odd, very odd.
Even though I am extremely handicapped, after checkout I had to help myself in putting your merchandise into my motorcar.
After getting home, my wife found so much missing in the order, mostly the bread, that she chewed me up and spit me out about why I left your store with so little that was needed so much. She then got into our motorcar and went to the Food Lyon that is about 2 miles from our home, and she returned with bread, that you did not have, or I could not find myself.
I am so sorry that I inconvenienced you so much in being your customer, I'm very sorry that I bothered you in your very laid-back way of doing things nowadays, very sad. Did this all happen, or should I say did not happen the way it should have because your General Manager, Mr. Robinson was not on duty? I guess that your excuse for all this is of course, The Chinese Plague, but that excuse is getting real worn-out, real quick here of lately in my opinion. Mr. Robinson needs to spend a little more time being your General Manager, other than taking off so early in the day, a weekday than having such a good family life instead?
Again, I'm very sorry for interrupting your day at work.
Regretfully,
William Guy Scott Clagett, PhD
