Very poor customer service from the woman named Susan at the front desk, who was very rude,…read moredismissive and short with me! It was apparent that she could care less for my business and told me that she couldn't help me because my insurance company was closed for lunch at that time. (Untrue) do yourself a favor and do not waste your time here! Also she never even stood up to greet me from behind her desk that was behind service counter! She was not wearing a mask during this pandemic! But they did have a sign posted for mask wearing! I will use every opportunity to deter people from this awful place! I also asked to speak with the owner and she would not allow me that, stating that she was unavailable and wouldn't even take any of my information so that she could get back to me! Update: The owner called me personally to apologize on behalf of her company and ensured me that she would speak to Susan so that an incident like mine doesn't happen again for future business. She was very apologetic and sincere. I am giving them another chance and I will not interact with Susan upon future visits if she is working at the time. Susan needs to be fired or at minimum re-trained to be suitable for working with customers.

I understand they were busy, but they lost my future business due to 1) incorrect information and not evening checking in coverage 2) ignoring me and taking other customers 3) lack of compassion. This is new and scary, I am not a number and this is a medical supply store. Kindness would of been nice and I felt like I was a nuisance to them. I am all for small business and this is way out of the way for me. Two years ago, they were helpful in working with me to help a relative. I'm not sure what has changed but they need some sensitivity training.

When I did go pick up her meds, the staff were unfriendly and seemed annoyed that I'd come to get the meds rather than have them delivered. 2 months ago, they sent her a text that they had planned to deliver her meds that day (not sure why they ignored my request to pick them up) but had only discovered that day that she needed refills, so her delivery would be delayed for 5 days. No apology, no offer of emergency meds to cover her, I guess she was just supposed to keep her blood pressure down with the power of her mind. Last month, again they ignored my request to not have her meds delivered and sent her a text that the delivery was on its way. No one showed up. She called the next day to ask where her meds were and they said they would be delivered the following week. Again, no apology, no emergency meds. I'd had enough and went to another pharmacy to transfer her prescriptions. The new pharmacy called me and said that Akron Health Mart Pharmacy had actually refused to allow the transfer until I called to tell them why. So, I did. She's now with the new pharmacy and we are so glad to be done with these folks. Please, save yourself the headache and go anywhere else.

Acme is a happy-medium grocery store. Most of the items cost more than at Wal-Mart, but they have a better selection of groceries. For example, they have bins of spices, dry goods, and candy that you can purchase in bulk. Wal-Mart doesn't offer that. I looked around to see if they offered items or prices that would get me to switch grocery stores, but I didn't see anything compelling. Since Buehler's and Aldi are next to my house, those are my two back-up grocers when I don't have time to visit Walmart. Quality and price are the driving factors that matter to me when shopping for groceries. I do recommend this store if you live nearby.
