I love going to this Giant food store location! Their prices are somewhat cheaper than other grocery stores within the area. They have organic produce and a natural/healthy food section. They manager specials on certain items. You just have to keep an eye out for them! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I'm at the point where I'm starting to refuse to shop at any Giant. The reason I say this is because it seems that Giant employees really don't care about their jobs and don't care about the store. Every time I go in there, their produce section has old or expired goods. For example, I tried to buy strawberries just to see that there was mold on most of them. Another time I tried to buy cucumbers but as I picked it up, it folded in half due to how old it was. The staff is friendly but this location needs some serious help. Good luck. read more

With the stay-at-home order we have been instructed to obey I would like to comment on the Pharmacy at the Junction Plaza Giant store - I have been dealing with them for over 15 years and have had nothing but excellent service. It is like the old days when everyone knew you. Since I have been unable to pick up my prescriptions they have filled them and mailed directly to my home. This is a Giant, there are many like it but this Giant is mine (by proximity). I've been to a few Giant supermarkets and I have a comparison to judge this one by. This Giant staffed with some of the nicest and most helpful folks I've ever met. I've been in need of some specialty items which they generally don't carry but they have special ordered for me. This Giant isn't the cleanest because the refrigerators and freezers are old and are dented and slightly rusty as well as the dated white shelving that holds the goods. Often times you see managers specials on meats and prepackaged cold cuts but to be honest, these items should of been on special a few days earlier or have been thrown out. The deli isn't particularly appetizing because the cold cuts and salads don't make me want to buy them. The deli department is too big for the demand and it looks somewhat empty. There's definitely room for improvement and this store has lots of potential. read more

came to purchase a few items including yogurt, milk, and dressing... was surprised to find expired product on the shelf for all of the above. I've never worked in a supermarket but back in school I worked in retail that sold a few food items. we were instructed to ensure food product was removed from the shelf before the expiration date printed. makes you wonder how long the meat and seafood has actually been sitting there. perhaps the management should take notice of employees playing on their cellphones and put them to work instead? oh well, time for me to go to Wegmans and finish my grocery shopping. read more

Somehow I purchased $100 of their over-priced groceries and wound up with a "Gas Reward" of .10 per gallon. Was I shocked when I found gasoline at the very next station .07 cheaper than what I had paid for Giant's discounted price? This company will give you a snowball in December. Harris Teeter is much more generous with their sale items. Giant will be the next major grocer to collapse, strictly from there greed. read more

This is my Giant...my go to grocery store when I'm in need of food...and stuff. They definitely have a lot of stuff. Whatever season it is, they have the appropriate items you're looking for. Such as candy for Halloween and Christmas lights during the holidays. I usually find what I'm looking for and then some. They don't always have the best selection of some items, so it's necessary to check other places out once in a while, but it's pretty decent. That could be because they have pretty good deals and the stuff just sells out by the time I get there. The service is good as well....and a huge plus-- they have a Redbox machine! read more

This place never has enough people working and by enough...I mean any. It's not uncommon for one/two line(s) to be open and you have to search for people for anything else. The other annoying thing is that people are constantly going in the express lane with enough groceries for 3 months and the cashier never says a word in the 15 or less line. Then there is the person who orders stuff...they should be shot. It's never consistent. You can never find the same stuff from week to week. I was there Friday and everything I usually buy nowhere to be found...and this isn't like special stuff either...it's completely run of the mill stuff...not on sale either... Also, no self checkout and in a place where two people are working, you need it. read more

Great local grocery. We've been going here for over 20 years ... it's our "go to". The store is clean, prices fair, and the place is small enough to easily find those obscure items that occasionally make it on the shopping list. Employees are very friendly and it's almost never over crowded. You actually have space to shop and chat with neighbors you may bump into. read more

Be careful with the store associates at Self-Check Out in Ashburn Village!!! The other day when I was self checking out with one box of MORTON IODIZED SALT, after I paid with my credit card the machine could not print out the receipt, and the associate came, pressed the button and did not even look at what she got from the machine before she tore up it, and just told me to pay, and I said I did already. she said it did not take it (I wish I had my cell phone with me at the time.) So I paid it again. After I got home and found out my credit account got two transactions with the one box of salt. I was upset with this. So I went back, the store customer service guy said to me something like: OK, come back tomorrow morning after we check our inventory. I told him "it does not worth the trip, I came back not because of the money, it's because it should not had happened." Then the guy said "I am sorry and return the money back to me." My feeling with the whole process is that some of the associates in this store are not respectful, they don't trust you, they may even try to full you. So be careful! read more

Giant located at Junction Plaza in Ashburn, VA has some issues. Giant has terrible customer service. They've tried utilizing customer check out lanes configured more ergonomically and smaller with with carousels to hold the plastic bags and load the bags only to forget to give you all of the groceries at the end of check out. You only find out after you get home and have to drive several miles to come back and pick up your groceries. read more

Worst of the worst Giant Food's in the Area. Lots of Expired Items on the shelves. If you buy anything with an expiration date, I urge you to check the sell by dates. Especially Cheese and Milk. High Prices and No Self Check Lanes. I bought the ready made chicken noodle soup and it stunk! Just aweful! Head over to Wegman's for their ready made soups as they are the best! Giant Food used to be the best many years ago, but now with the competition of Harris Teeter, Wegman's and even Food Lion, Giant is left behind and just don't seem to care about freshness, customer's time, or quality. read more

I like their prices and they usually have good deals going on but my last trip was awful. Their produce was mediocre at best (which is usually the case)..and while I was shopping for hummus I found half of them look like they'd been flipped upside down or layed on their side in the shipment truck or something plus one was moldy! Then I get home and take out the store brand cream cheese I just bought and it literally crumbled out of the package. Uhh pretty sure cream cheese isn't supposed to do that. Now I really don't trust their food or even what they sell. Over it - never going back. read more

Nothing really special. Never had an issue other than lines get long most times. And the customer service desk you typically have to wait for someone to help you while they have their own conversation. Employees seem nice, some offer free balloons to my kids, but it would really be better if they asked ME before handing my kid a balloon. Furthermore, i have 2 kids and they typically only being 1 (for my youngest). I don't think that's right to exclude one child. read more

the food is always moldy. i bought cut up white bread and as soon as i ate it, i knew it was off. within minutes i could not move without a stabbing pain searing through my stomach. i got halfway up the stairs on my way to take an imodium when i couldn't take it anymore and was paralyzed in a fetal position by that pain. it got so bad my mom and i debated calling 911. this was not the only incident with that bread. also one day after i bought cottage cheese it had green mold in it. read more

Returned another package of bad meat tonight, sell by date is three days from now. Have purchased expired meat here before, ahead of the sell by date. A tub of sour cream I bought a month ago on sale, was expired and was bad. The quicker moving items seem ok, like ground beef and chicken breasts. Again, the slow moving produce items don't look very fresh at all, bordering on they should removed. It gets two stars because some items are still good, and the staff is attentive and helpful. read more

There are never enough registers open. However there is one cashier, Regina, who is always very nice and professional. Other cahiers don't give any eye contact or even say hello. I shop there just for the convience. Giant is extremely over priced. read more

Worst giant I have ever been to.. just moved next to it from chantilly, and have grown up in the area, so I know what a good giant is. Only live a 2 minute drive away but will never go back after giving it multiple tries over the past two months. Would much rather drive 7 minutes to the other giant. Produce is never fresh or stocked, they dont carry cilantro, have to steal a pinch off the live plants they sell if you want it, potatos are always green, tomatoes are always bruised and mushy. It is the most unorganized layout you will ever come across, good luck finding taco kits... I think they are in the chip aisle? I never do remember. I believe they freeze the chicken breasts considering only a day after I let it sit in my fridge the package was full of liquid, wanted to buy burger meat but didn't because it was already turning gray. When you finally see an employee on the floor they are nice, but they must think they are playing hide and go seek because you can never find any. The only time I will go to this giant again is if I am snowed in and I have to walk to get my baby food. DISCLAIMER: I have never written a review of or for anything, but after my last experience I felt compelled. I can only hope this deters people from being let down from this store as I have, and hope that upper management sees this review and does something to fix the catastrophe that is this store. read more
