Dr. Lam is my medical Doctor.I had to move 100 miles away after my house burned down to nothing, but I kept Dr Lam as my family Doctor. His office staff is 5 star service. Dr Lam makes me a part of my medical plan by explaining my options. He takes his time with me and always checks to see how my life is going assuring me of his genuine concern for my personal health and well being as an older Sr. Citizen. He is kind, supportive of my medical issues. Lastly his practice is not in and out, next patient please, leaving you wondering what just happened. He gives you typed sheets of your medical plan and medications ordered at what pharmacy. He responds to my online concerns. Absolutely a gold mine medical practice. 5 stars all around. After finally getting in to see Dr.Lam he was very sorry for the actions of his receptionist.Guess not her first episode.your in medical field you need to be a caring person.rest of staff are very nice.aftet many Dr's he listen wells and has addressed all my issues.would I recommend him.Yes.And I do Appreciate him letting me have my Day in court.And a simple sorry goe's long ways with me.God did not make us perfect. read more

I like Dr. Lam and trust him. He does take his time to hear you and tries to help you.. but when it comes to sending referrals to a specialist his office is slow to work on them. By doing so, when one has a serious condition like my husband, it is important that the referral be sent out immediately. We fought tooth and nail to get this referral out to the insurance company and then to the speicalist. The doctors assistant Alicia kept saying the referral had already gone out, after many calls back and forth to her, ins. co and the speicalist it took weeks before it finally got there, but in the mean time my husbands legs and foot got worse and had to take my husband to the stanford hospital. I kept telling them his leg was getting worse and if there was anyway my husband can come in to see the doctor they tell me no they have no opening and he would have to wait for his next appointment and to call if they get any cancellations to fit him in.. I called everyday for a month and no cancellations even after I told them about his conditions. they could not compromise or fit him in to see the doctor. I even asked is it possible that we can do a virtual visit with the doctor and they responded they don't do that. Since May 19th my husband had to go to the hospital emergency twice, and even after that they could not accomadate him to be seen and again more referrals were slow to go out and again making phone calls as before just to make sure they went out was again like pulling teeth and the attitude we got from Alicia was unprofessional. because of this issue and how they treated us, we will be looking into finding another doctor with better staff that have compassion.. read more

Dr. Lam literally put me on the track to health. I came to him after a pretty critical incident around Christmas with a blood clot. He is working to get everything balanced in my body but more importantly he helped clear up an issue with my legs that had turned into infection. Rather than having to go to a wound clinic or ER he cared for me himself. He also made sure I'm getting my nutrients, b12, d and other things I was lacking. I had lost a bunch of weight due to being sick and we're trying to get to a healthy weight without regaining to heavier. He takes his time with me as well as his other patients and asks poignant questions as well as asking if I have any concerns. I have done multiple blood panels and we discuss results in the following appointment/make adjustments etc. I never wait more than 5 minutes when I go to see him in the lobby and the staff (Alicia and Erica, and I have forgotton the gals at the front desks names--they are great too) But Erica and Alicia are fantastic - I am a big weenie when it comes to pain and injections and they hold my hand while they assist doc) I can tell he's the type that would pat you on the shoulder if it weren't for covid, so for now I get a gloved fist bump. (I'll take it) I can't say enough good things about Dr. Lam. I used to avoid the doctor like the plague - and after going to him weekly while he was fixing my leg -- i developed a trust for his plan for my health. read more

I was unhappy with this doctor for the following reasons. I had lab work ordered which included a cholesterol panel. I am not a sick person so, when I didn't receive a phone call regarding my lab results I believed everything was okay. Imagine my surprise when a year later I saw Dr Lam again and he asked me why I hadn't seen him sooner. I told him I had been in good health and didn't need to. He said " I don't think so... your cholesterol was high". I told him no one had contacted me about my abnormal lab results and he said " why didn't you call us? " to which I replied " Dr., you know as well as I do that it's your responsibility to notify your patient if there are abnormal lab results." He then quickly apologized. I then asked if he reviewed the labs himself or did he leave that up to his medical assistants. He assured me that he reviews the lab results himself, but didn't know how he missed flagging mine. I find this inexcusable. Another thing, during this visit I showed him a skin rash I had. He proceeded to touch it without wearing gloves or having washed his hands which I found pretty disgusting and unprofessional. I decided right then to find another primary doctor. read more

Dr Lam is an amazing physician, I stumbled upon his office years ago and I'm so happy I did. He has great bed side manner, he listens and really cares about his patients. I never feel rushed and I trust him completely. Dr. Lam is a very smart person and has diagnosed things that other doctors have missed. He is an excellent doctor!! read more

Wouldn't recommend this provider to anyone, like others have stated he doesn't listen to your concerns. I had to call multiple times to ask for test results. I asked for a referral to cardiologist and he never ordered it. I decided to see a different provider instead. read more

I've been coming here for over two years Dr Lam is very thorough and his staff is very friendly I would give this place 5 stars but the lady that works at the front desk with long dark hair has always been super rude to me even when I thought I had cancer the other front desk lady with short hair super sweet sorry I forgot your name . Dr lam is a good Dr. he takes the time to ask questions, however I wish he would listen to what I would have to say about my fibromyalgia. Many doctors don't believe in it, so it's frustrating. His office assistant Gloria, is AMAZING! She is very personal and makes you feel comfortable. My huge problem with this office is their call center. This lady Gloria is a grade A BITCH!!!! she is so rude! Every single time I get her on the phone she is the rudest person I have ever spoken too. I have had other people complain about her on many occasions as well. Look Gloria, if you hate your job this much QUIT!!!!! smile, treat your patients with RESPECT!!!! today you sat here on the phone and called me a LIAR because I used two different forms of words and you weren't ok with that. So I called and complained to your office manager. Each time you treat me like that I will complain because patients don't deserve that. We are here calling to get help, not get treated rudely and with disgust from you!!!! Kristine is great at the call center I have spoken with her and a few other people and they have all been very helpful. So if anyone gets Gloria, Ask for someone else!!!! 10/23/17 Again I'm writing this for anyone who is reading these reviews or even thinking about considering this terrible, TERRIBLE doctor. It was recently brought to my attention that I am NOT the only patient he has mistreated, prescribed wrong medications that made me MORE ill and I found I am not the only patient that has been called a liar and that my disability is all in my head. I called all 3 managers Batina, Kris and Connie for about 1.5 months EVERY DAY! I have filed a dispute with the bills due to not being treated. I was told those phone calls would stop. However I am being harassed by dr lams office at least 4 times a day. A letter has been submitted to the medical board and I know other patients are in the process. I thought I had a good Doctor that I can depend on, from December 2015 til Aug 2016 Dr. Lam know that I have chronic Kidney problem, my last visit would put me back in the hospital for kidney failure for 9 days on Dalyisis, and now on out patient dalyisis. Over precribing very toxic anti biotics. Please don't rely on your doctor before reading the hazards. read more

I love going to Dr Lam's office. I am always greeted at the reception desk with a friendly smile. His nurse who takes my vitals was so friendly. She took the time to listen to me go on about why I was there to see the dr. It is very rare to have a dr to sit down and listen to all your aches and pains without them making you feel like they need to be moving on to the next patient. Dr Lam always makes me feel I am the most important person for him to spend his time with. I love having him as my physician. read more

He is definitely that kind of doctor that actually listens, where you are part of the medical decision making with appropriate questions and definitely answering yours. All of his support staff is awesome, with excellent customer service and professionalism. My only complaint about this office, or shall I say group, is they have implemented a new phone tree where calls are to an answering service versus the office directly. The wait times on hold through this service can be unprofessionally and frustratingly long, but when you finally get through, back to the same courteous and professional staff. read more
