I am a patient of Dr. Sean in the Turlock office of BioSport. I have to say his treatment of foot and hamstring difficulties has been almost miraculous. I have had left ankle flexibility issues for many years and for the first time the diagnosis he provided and treated got to the core of the issue. Beware of Copay charges particularly with Medicare. BioSport began charging me a higher copay than the Maximum billable amount approved by Medicare. Eventually it was straightened out and copays were in line with Medicare. However, with the start of a new year they collected my full deductible which exceeded the approved Medicare billable amount by 150%. When I discovered this it created a credit and therefore they did not collect a copay for a few weeks. When time came to settle my account there was a minimal outstanding amount owed. After I extensively researched charge/credit figures, my amount differed with BioSport by 55 cents. A conversation with a billing clerk took 18 minutes. She was horribly rude, demeaning and condescending. I was accused of not understanding how Medicare works, not knowing how to do math between charges and credits and I was told not to criticize their bookkeeping system. I asked for a paper billing statement but they charge for that. She said if this outstanding balance of 55 cents carried for 3 months she would send me to collections. Exasperated, I sent them a check for my determined correct amount plus 55 cents. Again, therapy is OK but just be prepared to struggle with the office and billing. It ruined my experience with BioSport. read more

My son needed PT and after a prolonged and extensive experience I can't say enough about this place. Everyone is great and they definitely provide high quality care. The best part of the whole experience is BRITTANIE. Once we had a session with her...nobody else compared. She pushes exactly enough. Never too much but never slacking either. Brittanie motivates with her energetic vibes and inspires with her expertise in athletes. I can only hope they bribe her enough to keep her. The physical therapy element was great for my daughter however, they don't tell you that when you sign their financial policy to be able to be treated that it can negate your insurance having to pay for the physical therapy. Because they did not submit the claim beforehand to get prior authorization, I now owe amount for her physical therapy, even though it was authorized by her rheumatologist. I understand it's my responsibility to read what I'm signing however it was their issue not submitting before treatment that makes me liable to pay. Incredibly frustrating, especially since I had to leave three messages and never even got a call back regarding the bill. read more

Treatments were okay. At the end of treatment I was left in my room with cold packs which was nice for like 10mins. I fell asleep and whoever was supposed to check on me forgot I guess. Luckily I woke on my own and had enough time to get to my other obligations. I wandered out of my room saw my doc chillin out in the break room with her co-workers. This might not be a deal breaker for you but it left a pretty bad first impression on me. I left and never went back. My physical therapist is Sean and he is amazing, nothing short of a lifesaver for me. I am still attending this office weekly as I have been recovering from my second neck surgery this last year and Sean has been able to do for me. My daughter has been coming here since May to help her with her back pain. Amanda, Katie, and the rest of the staff treated her like they've known her for years. They helped improve her back as well as taught her how to strengthen other muscles. My son is almost 4 months old and has to go to PT for torticollis in his neck. His physical therapist, Halle, is amazing with him and I would definitely recommend her. My son is always smiling and has a good time there. Also everyone I have met there has been extremely nice. The facilities and equipment are nice and are kept very clean. Same experience as other people. I was told they talked to my insurance company and they said I'd be responsible for 20%. Every time I would pay them at the end of my session and I would get a bill in the mail that says I owe them more money. The billing dept is terrible and dont know what they're doing. I never had this issue with any other physical therapy place or chiropractor for that matter. They also couldnt care less to solve these issues. the front desk seems unorganized and do not go over all the cost from the start. a lot of the charges were not given to me. I was never given a print out of charges and fees, and the staff seems annoyed to answer questions about it. it's hard to get anyone to answer if you need to reschedule. i was charged a late fee, even though i was said i'd get one not charged to me. I followed the cancellation policy but was still charged and refused a refund when it was discovered I did follow the policy as instructed. the instructors are nice, however they can give work out instructions unclear before leaving your side. the place is clean. read more

Some of staff doesn't seem well trained and some are students who are still learning from other students. What was I waiting for?! I have been struggling with TMJ Jaw pain for 3 years. I heard Dr Alex knows how to help heal TMJ, but it took me almost a year to make an appointment. I am currently being treated for acute arthritis in my lower back. I also currently have Parkinson's which is a main contributor to my lower back pain. The entire staff was sympathetic to my needs and treated me well as they also had to work with my limitations due to cataract surgery. I am now on my third time going to BioSport for physical therapy over several years. They are exceptionally good, friendly, and make recovery fun. My therapist, Dr. Koree Ringer, is upbeat and pushes me to try harder. Because of her, I am making great progress! I started my physical therapy four weeks ago with shoulder pain, tightness and stiffness around my upper back and neck due to a work injury. I was so tight; that in the beginning I was in a lot of pain doing the exercises. By the second week, I felt a big difference. Koree and her team helped strengthen me and get my motion back. I loved the massages and the laser treatments, and all the bells and whistles that come with the sessions. Everything that the gym has, they have. Now I feel more confident going to the gym and keeping up with the exercises they taught me. I just finished physical therapy right when I moved up to strength training. I feel stronger and I notice physic and tone in my back. I highly recommend this place. I've gone to other physical therapist and by far this is the best one. Everyone one there including the girls in the front are so nice and welcoming and so bubbly. Even my doctor highly recommends this place. BioSport Physical Therapy has been an absolutely awesome place to rehab my lower back pain and hopefully avoid a 2nd spinal fusion. I've had PT countless times since a back injury in 2006 and a L5-S1 spinal fusion in 2012, and BioSport is by far the best PT clinic. More recently, I had 8 months of extremely subpar care from Kaiser throughout 2020 and severe deconditioning happened. I finally started to get very high quality care starting February 2021 from BioSport. I wasn't able to stand upright and needed a walker to get out of bed due to excruciating and debilitating morning nerve pain. I've worked hard with BioSport providers and I've gotten significantly stronger. More importantly, they've given me the tools, resources and knowledge to effectively manage my pain by stretching/exercises, instead of defaulting to medication management. The positive energy that saturates the clinic is amazing, especially since rehabbing is challenging and painful. I've worked closely with KD, Angie, and Brittanie, and all are awesome and offers their own unique skills and strengths to my care. All of the PT assistants are amazing, so encouraging and fun, and make my visits a blast! I always look forward to PT and always leave feeling energized, even if my body feels tired or sore. Thank you so much for reminding me that my body is strong and for offering me some hope that I might be able to avoid a 2nd spinal fusion after all. I've been coming to BioSport for physical therapy for awhile (I have chronic pain issues). Everyone is very friendly, caring, professional and encouraging. I have worked with both Dr Alex and Dr Koree...they are phenomenal physical therapists especially with my unique issues.
