It was in both standard and another coating one. I went to check it out. The place is pretty big. They have a lot of merchandise. The handgun and rifle section is really big. The register is at the entrance of the store and I was greeted by the clerk. He told me the rifles were in the back. I went to the back and they are on a number system. So grab a ticket and look around. So much stuff to look at. Just in the gun section was ammo, magazines, parts and so much more. It really is a nice store. I only waited a few minutes and my number was called. It was pretty busy since it was a Saturday. The guy had to look for the rifle I wanted but I told them it was in stock since I had called earlier. He found it in the back and it was on sale. Great price. SO the paperwork is standard to purchase a firearm but each store takes their time so as not to make any mistakes. The process here was pretty fast compared to other dealers. I was happy. I will definitely be watching their sales to get some good deals on merchandise. Good service here.

No wait was needed to take the test, so after walking in, I told the young lady at the counter who I paid the fee to. And another gentleman got me setup quickly. The test took me maybe 15 minutesband then I was good to go to where the firearm selection area is. To get the rest of my paperwork done for my new FSC card, and to start the DROS process to get my new firearm after the wait period. The first lady I talked to and paid the FasC fee with, helped me with the whole process. And all of the staff that I encountered were very friendly and helpful, throughout every step; making everything as smooth as possible. As far as firearms, while waiting to complete the DROS, I noticed Turner's seemed to have a good selection of pistols and long guns. So after my pickup wait period, I might spend a little more time looking at what they have. They also had a decent amount of accessories too for your own builds and or upgrades.

The problem is the firearms counter. I have purchased a few guns there over the past 13 years, and the experience has universally been horrible. The basic tone is this: The staff's demeanor is as if they are doing you a favor by selling you something. They are quite deliberately aloof, indifferent, and they slow-walk everything they do. This occurs whether they are busy or not. Either way, it will be an agonizingly slow experience if you want help or want to purchase a firearm. They randomly chose to use or ignore their "take a number" system, and when you go in there's never any way to tell whether you should take a number or not. You can stand at the counter, waiting for help for an hour at times. Often they won't acknowledge your presence or even make eye contact. It feels as if you are offending them by even being there, and they want nothing more than for you to just go away. If you actually wish to purchase a firearm, I would recommend budgeting at least two hours in the store. Or better yet, go to another store that has some level of competent management and values their customers. That's what I'm going to do. The clearest way I can explain it? The firearms counter at Sportsman's Warehouse is exactly like trying to get help from a big city branch of the California DMV. That sums it up perfectly.

The reason for that was I needed an extra blind to accommodate two Marine Corps veterans that wished to hunt my property . On October 10th, 2022, I spoke to Mr. Harry Bunfill, the owner of the XFowler company on several occasions and he told me I would have the blind by Saturday October 22nd, opening weekend of the duck season. On October 12th, 2022 he then told me that the blind wouldn't be available on opening day because of some issues he had with his vendors which couldn't provide him with the cages that mount on the blind's floating platform. On October 25th, 2022 Mr. Harry Bunfill told me on the phone that he would deliver the blind to me in the morning of October 27th, 2022 at 07:00 hours. I then got a text from him telling me that he would deliver the blind on the evening of October 26th. I called him to coordinate a time and place and he told me that he would meet me at 19:30 hours right after another delivery he was making at another nearby duck club. On the phone, I specifically asked him not to leave my blind on that other club property. That evening, I waited patiently until 21:00 hours and never heard from Mr.Harry Bunfill. The next morning, I received a phone call from the owner of the nearby duck club who told me that my blind had been left on his property the night before. He said the blind was very heavy and that he did not have any means to bring it to me. He also said that he had told Mr. Harry Bunfill that he did not think it was a good idea to leave my blind on his property. I called Mr. Bunfill to ask him about my blind. Mr. Bunfill got very angry and told me he had called me that evening and that I should have answered my phone. I replied I had never received any call from him. He then started insulting me, calling me names and told me to go F**ck myself and take the blind and shove it up my a**ss. All that after I had paid over $5000.00 dollars of my hard earned money for that blind. I told him that if I did not get the blind soon I wanted my money back. Mr. Bunfill then sent me the following text message: " Your return has been processed. I don't want people like you to have our products. I don't want your type's business. You are a narcissist and a liar. I find it hard to believe anyone likes you at all. I'm sorry I wasted my time on you. You're a miserable person and you know it. The world will be a little bit better when you're gone. I am just thankful that you don't have one of our blinds". Interesting way of doing business Mr. Bunfill! The young lady at the front of the store immediately welcomed us in and asked if we needed help. She was pleasant and efficient with getting the fishing license for my husband. We walked around the store for a quick browse. Most of the other employees were busy helping other customers at that moment. Can't really speak on the inventory or the prices, compared to Big 5 or Walmart, but at least we know what to expect from Turner's Outdoorsman. Check them out as an alternative to the big box stores.

Caution if visiting on a Saturday morning to be mindful that parking gets full between the farmers market and the aquatic center. Loved seeing the ducks and waterfalls during my walk. Mix of families, friends, couples and kids walking with few bikes and everyone was really friendly, as I did ask questions here and there being new to the park.
