Adina is an amazing therapist and is really great at asking the right questions to help me identify my thought patterns and where they came from. She listens with compassion and empathy. I came to her with a dismissive attitude towards myself and my own emotional well-being, but she was able to help me understand that I deserve love and that my feelings deserve to be heard. She is also incredibly knowledgeable in her field, and I ended up learning quite a bit about psychology just from our conversations about how my mind worked. I ended almost every session feeling inspired and having learned a little bit more about myself. Working with Adina is one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life and I highly recommend her to anyone seeking therapy or support during difficult times.

As my 11 year marriage was crumbling, I first tried three other therapists (who weren't a match for me) who were recommended to me personally before I turned to Yelp and found Adina. Adina was exactly the therapist I needed to find perspective, clarity, and support. I give her the highest possible recommendation.

He is a top researcher specializing in Infectious Disease and Immunology. Though he is researching a few specific treatments at a time, he has always been very receptive if I want to try a different approach or course of therapy. He and his staff are very compassionate and caring. He is also understanding of patient's limitations. I am an uninsured patient. I had been tested for every possible pathogen within the past few years (while insured). Dr. K has been great about not ordering unnecessary tests that would be difficult for me to afford. He also worked with a drug manufacturer's patient assistance program so I could be treated with a medicine I wouldn't otherwise be able to afford. I travel from out of town to see Dr. K. The staff are always very accommodating. On one visit I arrived two hours before my scheduled appointment time. I was completely wiped out by the travel. The nurse set me up in a quite room with a recliner, pillow and blanket to rest, then arranged for the doctor to see me earlier then my scheduled time. Being a research center as well as a clinical practice, it is a busy place. The practice has become much more efficient and organized over the past year. Dr. K encourages patients to email him with questions and concerns between visits, and he and the nurses are wonderful about getting back to you in a timely manner. Seeing a top researcher is very different than seeing your primary care physician. They are treating very seriously ill patients who often times have been sick for many years. Of the handful of specialists in this field, many have multiple year waiting lists. Some are known to hand pick the patients they want to treat. Others will only look for what ever pathogen they specialize in or prescribe the drugs they are studying. Dr. Kogelnik doesn't operate that way. His fees are in line with what other top researchers in this field charge and he is truly committed to helping his patients on their journey to optimal health.

She is humble and she is all about her patients. She is not out there trying to be famous and build her brand (like many doctors in her space, who have this type of rare expertise) but instead focuses on treating her patients. She is generous with her time and care. She responds to emails (even sometimes when on vacation - which of course I don't think she should do since she needs her rest too!) and communicates quickly and thoroughly. She is always on the cutting edge of new treatments and stays up to date on the research. Even though she is trained in Western medicine, she somehow has vast knowledge in a lot of integrative/functional/holistic treatments. She keeps an open mind, treats the whole person and has a dialogue with you. She doesn't give orders and write scripts and send you on your way. She actually checks in to see if you are willing to go through a treatment, how you feel about it, etc - knowing that compliance with treatment is often challenging and painful. You feel like she is your partner - which is how all people should feel about their doctors! Especially when managing a chronic and complex disease or condition. I have spent extraordinary amounts of time, money, and energy trying to feel well. Unfortunately, I am an expert at being a patient so I know what I'm talking about here. Dr. Chheda has helped me find answers when no one could. For the record, I have moderate scoliosis (40% curvature with neurological complications) and other very painful spine degeneration issues, multiple autoimmune diseases, occipital neuralgia and a history of migraines - and likely as we are discovering together I may have POTS/MCAS/dysautonomia. She has helped me to figure out some common denominators to my multiple issues. I admire how her mind works - constantly thinking outside the box trying connect things that appear disparate on the surface but are actually related. For reasons too detailed to get in here, I don't think her clinic can take standard insurance plans. But if you can afford it, I would highly recommend her. She is incredible!! I owe her so much.
