The first time, the office had not received the referral from my PCM and let me sit in the waiting room for over an hour instead of just telling me they didn't have the referral. Once I realized it, I called my PCM and had the matter settled quickly. When I finally DID see the doctor, I was in there for about five minutes, and my ultrasound (even though I was at 23 weeks) only lasted about a minute, if that much. I did not get to hear the heartbeat, nor did I receive any type of cervical exam, even though I delivered my first child at 25 weeks. On my second visit, I waited over two hours and saw the dr for three minutes, tops. He told me nothing other than my bloodwork was normal and even told me that I wouldn't need an ultrasound at 25 weeks - around the same time I went into labor last time. Thank God my first child was born at a Naval Hospital in San Diego....I received comprehensive care and people took the TIME to make sure my baby and I were ok. NOT THE CASE HERE. Very disappointed. I'm glad we're moving back to a base where we can receive good, quality care. I'm quite certain his office billed me for more than just a five and three minute visit.

I'm a first time young mom so I had a lot of questions that I didn't trust google to answer and they were always very kind when answering them for me. Every time I called they answered. Dr. Van Riper was open about every procedure down to my delivery and it really put me at ease. I was an induction and he made it a point to come at 10 o'clock at night to check my catheter. Something the nurses could have done but he wanted to see how we were doing. If I could recommend anyone it would be him and his staff. And his head nurse Marie is the absolute best and my favorite. My husband and I will never go through a pregnancy without them. Thank y'all for everything.

Due to the rush my grandson now has a fractured shoulder and a tube down his throat into his stomach due to swallowing birth fluids. We believe this delay was negligent and caused serious, preventable injuries to my newborn grandson.

He is the first male Gynecologist I have ever had and at first I was skeptical but he was fantastic. I would recommend him to anyone. My second visit there, my schedule had been messed up. I had called to change it weeks prior, but I guess whomever took the call did not change it in their system. So I show up early for my appointment and sign in, notice all these folks are being taken in before me. 15 mins after my appointment time, I go to find out what was the matter and I was informed my appointment was 2 days prior. I said No, I had called in and it was confirmed that I was indeed there at the right time. One of the front desk ladies got me a little more irate than I would normally get because she acted like I was trying to look at people's information when I was just looking at the sign-in sheet to see where my name was. In my mind, I'm like why have it there in the open if you don't want people to see it? And then try to make it seem like I violated you. That's YOUR bad, not mine. I was really annoyed because it was supposed to be a "quick procedure" I was there for over 2 hours (which I got "written up" for at work because I was only supposed to be out an hour). Dr. Raja honestly is the reason why I kept my rating of the facility high. He really is great.
