I am a Kearney homeowner and discovered my 2-level basement had a high radon level (I have learned more than 1/2 of homes in south central Nebraska have excessive radon levels). I did not know much about radon other than I knew excessive radon was not good for one's health. I easily decided I needed to correct the problem right away. I researched online radon remediation companies in my area. I wanted to locate a company that just focused on radon remediation. Getz Radon Pros was the only company I identified that met my criteria. I then researched the owner of Getz Radon Pros and the company itself and did not find anything derogatory. I met with its owner (Shad Getz) who inspected my house. He explained how he expected the remediation work to be done (there were different approaches to doing such work) and provided me with a written bid. I had no idea as to the cost of radon remediation. The estimate provided to me by Getz was reasonable so I hired this company. A schedule was agreed upon for this work to promptly be done. It took one day to do the radon remediation. Getz Radon Pros showed up on the agreed upon day and completed the work. The Getz employee doing the work was very professional, hard working and friendly. The remediation work was done in a very professional and high quality manner. The final cost of the work was the same as the original estimate/bid. Although this will vary by structure, my house's radon level has now dramatically dropped to a level that is considered very safe.
