We LOVED our stay here! There is a lot of history behind this home and the owner has attempted to keep it as close to the original time period as possible. Because of this, don't expect a brand new bed, brand new furniture, large spaces, etc. however, we thought it was truly great. The bed was beautifully made and the blankets/sheets felt like great quality. We stayed in the 'Stuart' room and it was very quiet. The bathroom is well appointed with newer fixtures, sink, toilet, and tub. I personally loved the antique doors. The breakfast provided on both days was phenomenal! Day 1 was bacon, scrambled eggs, fruit, sausage gravy over biscuits, with a muffin and a slice of specialty bread to start. Day 2 was crescent roll French toast, scrambled eggs, ham, fruit, and started with a muffin and piece of specialty bread. Coffee and orange juice were also served. The people who served breakfast and checked us in were absolutely delightful, especially Bonnie at breakfast. I would love to have the opportunity to return here and highly recommend it, especially if you're looking for an authentic experience. One nice touch, there's one reserved parking space for each room which is beneficial seeing as how the Dobbin House Tavern next door is incredibly busy. read more
