Fist stop on my list in Gettysburg is get a postcard. I am so glad we stumbled upon this little…read moreshop. There are so many lovely items. Holiday, home decor, cards and more. We picked up a little hostess gift along with our post card. The gem of our visit is without doubt the 86yo cashier. Just a skoch hard of hearing, this lovely, active, octogenarian was a pleasure to speak with. As she checked us out we got into a wonderful conversation about travel and family. She has a great sense of humor and seriously, still working at 86. Go visit this amazing woman. Probably should check out the inventory while you are there too.

We've always seen their cute bike signs on our adventures down to Virginia so on a recent trip to…read moreGettysburg we decided to stop by. So glad we did! We were greeted warmly by a young man and his siblings. He showed us around the produce stall that had various local items from peaches to corn and everything in between. Behind the stall were shelves of beautiful homemade pottery. He invited us to take a look inside their gallery as there were more items for sale in there, jams, tea, coffee and more pottery. The gallery was air conditioned so it was a nice break from the heat. We ended up purchasing corn, peaches, some jam and fair trade organic coffee. Everything we got was ripe and delicious. Can't wait to stop by again hopefully this fall to see what seasonal items they will have then!

We each bought one of their stunning Haitian metal art works, all the more pleased because part of the money goes to these amazing Haitian artists and the nonprofit that supports them. My selection is in the photo attached. They also have some gorgeous "candles" for those who must avoid candles because of the fragrance. These are beautifully designed glass containers to which you add what's necessary for them to burn as candles but with virtually no fragrance. As always, this shop has various items you just don't see anywhere else. Special thank you to the owner for providing a platform for these talented Haitians who have suffered so much.
