Emails go unanswered, phone calls are ignored, and even when you do manage to speak to someone, no one has a clue what's going on. Every interaction feels like you're talking to someone who's just as confused as you are about the school's basic operations. It's as if no one has any idea how to run the place! But that's not even the worst part. The campus is unsafe and poorly managed. There have been several incidents of crime happening around campus--some of which were completely brushed under the rug by the administration. Instead of addressing these issues and ensuring student safety, they've chosen to keep things quiet, making students feel like their safety isn't even a priority. I've had friends who were harassed, and it seems like no one at York cares enough to do anything about it. The lack of transparency is beyond frustrating, and the attitude of the administration is completely dismissive. I regret ever choosing this school. The lack of communication, the disorganized nature of everything, and the fact that serious safety issues are being ignored is beyond unacceptable. If you're considering York College, RUN. There are so many better options out there where your safety and education actually matter.

I don't know about the veteran thing that Ryan D. posted but when I was there they weren't judgmental or calling the cops on any Veteran for being a Veteran, not saying it didn't happen to him but it's highly unlikely. The first teacher barely talked to me during the consultation and didn't explain what process should be done to the student. Not to mention the second teacher did not check my hair cut after the student finished. Then the TEACHER cut my face framing pieces uneven and didn't even notice. At that point i had felt disrespected by the teachers and just wanted to leave the building. No hate to the students they are still learning but it's a teachers job to teach and after the 6 hours i had been there i didn't feel like that was the case. Multiple students had questions that should have been common sense to them if they were taught properly in the class room before working on clients.

I did a glass fusion class here with my wife, and we both thoroughly enjoyed it…read more We got a groupon for it, and went not being sure of what to expect. We've never worked with glass before, but the staff explained the decorative options well and had plenty of materials and tools available. The staff was always helpful and very friendly, and did a great job supervising the class and helping out when needed. We paid the extra $10 each to 'slump' our flat glass discs into bowl shape after they are melted. I would have liked a slightly curved plate option but that wasn't available. This requires a second run through the kiln, so the price is understandable. Sadly, it may take up to 4 weeks for the plates to finish the fusing process, although we saw some finished examples that looked gorgeous. I had one minor complaint, and that's only because I'm being nit-picky: the staff was hard to find sometimes during the class. There were plenty of staff members there, I just kept forgetting who they were since they didn't have nametags or aprons or anything to identify them.

I enjoyed the small class as it felt more personable and by the end all of us were chit chatting and having a great time. Our instructor Kim was very helpful and fun. The event was 3 hours which I think was perfect. I liked that we painted and then took small breaks to let the paint dry. It wasn't just paint, paint, paint. The shop is super cute and very clean. I can't wait to go back for another Sip n' Paint event or a glass fusion class! Kim said she wanted to try doing a jewelry making class which I would definitely attend!
