They have been continuing to charge my account even tho it has been cancelled since October. They are refusing to pay back the three months when I was charged in error. Ultimately they updated the entire wash and entry gates. To their detriment, they haven't used the other car wash tunnel, except at the very beginning. Typically one wash tunnel is enough except on those awful slushy winter days when cars need washed again within 30 seconds after being washed. The wait can be 40 minutes even with two lanes widening to three lanes, but ultimately becoming just one at the end. I recently cancelled here due to a snarky employee who I decided wasn't worth dealing with any longer. A few months back I pulled-up & after about 90 seconds with no one appearing, I gave my horn a little toot to get someone's attention - - it can't be EXPRESS if you can't get started. So he came out & immediately let me know how much he didn't appreciate my beep. I saw it as harmless, so I let it go. Then more recently on a drizzly Saturday morning, I saw a car coming out of the wash while driving north on Rt8, so I got over to make the left turn into their complex. Upon arrival at the entrance, once again no one was on- duty to guide cars in. I did see two workers inside the machinery doing maintenance, but neither saw/heard me, so once again I gave a brief horn toot. And who should re-appear but the same guy who was clearly upset to have to leave the repair work to start me in. This time he said "You're welcome for me being here on a rainy day." OK - it wasn't my decision for Clean Express to open that day, nor did I schedule him to work that day or that shift; I was just there to have my car washed as I didn't foresee being able to go later that day + I actually paid for the service; I wasn't requesting a freebie. When I got home, I checked when my billing cycle charged the monthly fee & cancelled a day before. Why pay for grief when there's plenty for free elsewhere & if my patronage isn't appreciated, there are other nearby options. But despite my situation, I'll say that this location is the best of the three I've used. The two others - Mt Nebo & Lower Burrell are newer facilities, but very short; too much happens too fast with virtually no pause between the pre-rinse/wash/wax/drying cycles IMO. And the drying time is much shorter than at Gibsonia, that used the old longer wash tunnels than these two newer built-from-scratch locations.
