This is a great local gym and they take great care of the facility - highly suggest if in the Berry Hill area!

Meh. GFA isn't exactly what I expected in a gym. Maybe it works for some, but it's just not up to par in my book. I've had plenty of different gym memberships across town depending on where I lived at the time - but I won't be back to this one. Let's start with the good. Location is great, fees are not bad, small gym (which is fine). These are initial observations when I signed up. Now, we shimmy on over to the "not-so-good" part of the review. I got to GFA at 5:45 AM and popped into the restroom really quick. Very dirty restroom. Honestly... disgusting. So I simply deduce either a) no one cares to clean up after themselves here or b) no one is on staff during the night to make sure the customers needs are being met. I took pictures to share, but I'll spare you (you're welcome). Not a deal breaker, but not an amazing start. The first treadmill I jumped on didn't work (touch screen controls seemed to be completely dead). No big deal. The second didn't work either (same issue). The third treadmill took a lot of work to get going, but it finally worked. I noticed that there was a TON of dirt caked inside the treadmill air vents (I included a picture) which are pointed directly at your face while running. Also, not awesome. I ran with a wince for 45 minutes. Additional observations. Weight room is very small (don't love to workout in tight spaces - again, personal preference), there are no showers, and FOX news was blaring all morning. Unfortunately at this time, I cannot recommend GFA and will not be extending my membership. I hope your experience is better than mine should you choose them for your local gym. read more

This gym is the place for you if you enjoy a collegial atmosphere, where you feel constantly supported and encouraged. The owners are extremely personable and make the gym feel more like a family than simply a business. The workout space is kept clean as organized and I'm never disappointed with the condition of any workout equipment. Bathrooms are always kept clean and tidy. If you're in the mood to work on your color, they have a tanning bed or if you're sore from a workout they have a hydro massage bed. Now the people. People at Get Fit are super friendly and are always willing to lend a hand or piece of advice. I have always felt comfortable asking for a spot or working in with someone. This is a gym that you feel connected to as soon as you walk in the door. I have worked out here for around 5 years and will continue to so long as I live in Nashville. read more

GetFit Anytime - Gyms Near Me - Nashville, Tennessee

So I recently moved to Nashville an was looking for a smaller gym that resembled my home town gym. Currently I got to Planet Fitness, but I was missing that personal small town vibe that my old gym had. So when I saw this place I was really excited to go check it out because it looks like a modern version of my old gym. However, after arriving for a tour of the facility I quickly realized that this was not what I was looking for. To start none of the employees were wearing a mask. One of the employees (who I think is the owner) rushed up to me and ask what I needed , I stated that I just wanted a tour because I'm new to the area and I'm looking for a new gym. The employee said ok while walking away toward a door that lead to a classroom area where he just opened the door and said "this is where we hold classes (never told me any information about the classes they offer), you can use it when there's no classes going on". Then he just stood there holding the door open not saying anything else. So I awkwardly popped my head through the door to look around and then stepped back away from the door. He shut the door and stormed off down the hallway. While he was powerwalking through the hallway and I was trying to keep up with him, he was just pointing to rooms saying what they were. When I asked about a locker room he just said yeah we have one and there are instructions on how to use it; never actually showing me were it was. He then took me to the weight room and said " this is the weight room and cardio is upstairs." He didn't show me around the weight room or even take me up stairs to look at the cardio equipment. Then he rushed away back through the hall to the front door and said if you want to sign the wavier scan this QR code. Why on earth would I sigh a wavier to a gym that I know nothing about even after taking a tour? The whole thing was super rushed and he never tried to sell the gym to me, it just seemed like he wanted me to leave. This place will not be getting my money. read more

GET SCREWED ANYTIME I just wanted to take the time to let other people know to not be taken for a fool like I was by the positive reviews. I researched several gyms 24 hours in Nashville. I decided on this one. First red flag. On their website, when you try to sign up for a month membership it's defective and doesn't work. Spoke to the owner "Adam" and he said he was looking into it. Therefore stupid me, I did the transaction over the phone, with the gym owner "Adam" he said he would leave a key fob for me at the door in a lock box. I show up to pick up the key fob, to find out there is nothing left. I call Adam to discuss. He stated the power was out yet the clock inside was on & bathroom light. I wanted to write this review to hopefully save other people from getting screwed, like I was. Please avoid! Times are hard for everyone, that I understand yet screwing other people and giving them the run around is not right. PLEASE AVOID! read more

This isn't a bad gym. The space and location are good, it's usually not that crowded, and the workers are nice. I could do without the Fox News blasting on the weight room TVs and the Ronald Reagan quotes written on the erase board to taunt you as you walk out, but that's just personal preference. However I have to say that I would like this place a whole lot more if, 1. They fixed their machines more often, or at least put up signs on the ones that don't work, and, 2. If they got their act together and bought paper towels to wipe the machines down instead of having a few dirty towels sitting around. I swear I've gotten at least one cold from touching those filthy things. Just go to Sam's Club and pony up. Because we know that Fox News-loving owner isn't going the washable towel route to save the environment. read more

Stay Away!!!! I realize Nashville does not provide many choices, but it's still not difficult to find a better option. Pro: open 24 hours - that's it Cons: Meat market! Glad I'm not a female, I feel horrible about the way they are "pursued" in this gym. Lots of guys there hitting on girls and gawking at them while they work out. It's Filthy! Place usually smells bad and the environment is dirty. I never once saw any of the employees clean. They never leave the office. Broken Equipment! Like elypticals? They are all broken and low quality. The worst machines I've seen since the 90's. This place is in desperate need of a refresh, but I'm pretty sure they can't afford it. Why you ask? Because I canceled my membership on February and they are still debiting my account in April. I have sent emails, half that are unanswered, and made phone calls. No respect, no appreciation, you just get the feeling they are going through desperate times. I know the area will be filled up with new people when all the apartments are rented out that are being built. If you really want to take care of your health join the downtown YMCA. Sooooo much nicer and professional. Trust me, you will not regret it!!! read more

I joined this gym shortly after it opened and I absolutely loved it! It's one of the things I miss most now living in FL. Get Fit Anytime is a smaller gym, that is open 24/7 (staffed 7a-7p Mon-Sat). The doors are always locked and members have an access card they swipe to get in, so I always felt really safe working out here. The vibe is almost more like a personal training studio. I loved that I never had to wait for equipment! At other gyms I always found it so obnoxious when people were just there to socialize, or try and meet someone romantically, and that was never the case at Get Fit... at most there was only ever 4 or 5 other people there while I was there and everyone was really focused on their workout. All of the cardio equipment have tv monitors, and there are some big screen tv's in the weights room. This gym doesn't have a pool, or a sauna, or daycare... doesn't even have a big locker room (though there are some lockable storage bins to keep your things in). I'm sure Get Fit doesn't fit everyone needs but it really fit mine better than any other gym in Nashville, and was also cheaper than the rest. On top of that, owner and trainers are great guys - very helpful and friendly. read more

I joined Get Fit Anytime a couple months ago, and it's my first gym membership, so I don't have a lot to compare it to... but I like pretty much everything about it. The size is small for a gym, I suppose, but it's just the right size for me, as I don't like big crowds. They have a row of treadmills up front at the windows, some elliptical machines and stationary bikes, all of which have televisions and a place to plug in an iPod. They also have various other machines and weights in the back. As the other reviewer mentioned, It's certainly not like the YMCA with a pool or sauna, but it will suit your basic needs! I also tend to keep late hours, and I love that it's 24 hours. The gym is staffed during the day, but is completely secure after hours. read more

This gym is everything you need when traveling! I came into town for business and had a hard time finding a gym that was close to midtown (where I was staying) and didn't require a personal training session. I found GetFit Anytime! I have zero bad to say about this place. They are the most reasonable gym in Nashville as far as cost, fees, membership guidelines, etc, they are open 24/7, very clean and have everything you need for a great work out! The ONLY bad thing I can say is that while they have a tanning bed there (and it's unlimited for like 10 bucks a month) you can't use it unless you go by during "staffed hours". Chances are if you sign up for a 24/7 gym - you are gonna come during non staffed hours a bunch. I understand why they did it - dishonest people. Just wish they could figure out a way to offer it 24/7 again! read more

I may not go to the gym as often as I should, but once I am at Get Fit I love working out! I was tempted to join an Urban Active since they seem to have the cheapest gym membership anywhere, but I've heard some bad things about their contracts plus they're not 24 hours. A a person who gets off work by the time gyms close, I appreciate Git Fit Anytime for always being open. Once staff hours are closed, you have to swipe a card to get in plus there are mirrors outside if you're feeling paranoid about someone jumping you. (That hasn't happened, by the way.) And while I love this gym because it's never crowded, I've never once been alone there even at 11 o'clock at night. I'm sure compared to other places like YMCA it's a modest gym, but they have plenty of machines and weights for all your exercising needs. You can't beat this 24-hour gym that's convenient from all areas in Nashville for around $30/month - plus TV's on their treadmills! That's what sold me. read more

I am always self-conscious going to gyms, I don't like them on principal.. But not at Get Fit Anytime, it is a really fun enjoyable place to work out. No long term contract, the staff do not make you feel like you have to have a perfect body to work out here. .. The Equipment is always clean and it is all modern. Spending a few weeks in Nashville every month this has become a great place to de stress and just work on my fitness. If you want to improve your health this is the place you want to be.. Well as Scott D. below mentions that this is a "meat market" I think I will have to laugh at that comment. I myself am what you might call a "meat head" without the ego. I have been bodybuilding competitively for the last 3 years, and have spent nearly my whole life in the gym. This gym is about as genuine as it comes. I have NEVER seen a female "hit on," noticed any funny smells (there are air fresheners and a monster fan for crying out loud, nor have I ever seen this place dirty. The management is as friendly as it comes, the price is very reasonable and the clientele is nothing more than just good ole people working out from young to the grey headed. I consider myself a business professional - as that is what I do for a living (run a business), and this is about as solid as it comes. It's only when someone is truly having a pity party to make a comment like that of Scott D. Sorry, but you're missing out on a solid facility with great people. read more

Overall this is a solid gym if you are looking for somewhere basic and affordable to lift weights and get in a quick treadmill session. It is very small and can get crowded during peak hours, but the 24/7 private access is great for those who like to work out during off-times and the morning. The price is crazy affordable and with no other basic fitness gyms in the area it can't be beaten. The equipment is in pretty good condition but some of it is limited and/or needs to be replaced, especially the cardio machines. Their free weight section is really extensive and that seems to be the draw for most members. By most members I mean dudes who like to lift really heavy weights; I definitely felt in the minority as a female at the gym. I'm not sure if it was the small space or all the sweaty guys but the gym had a very strong smell to it that always bothered me, a combination of body odor and very chemically/rubber smelling mats. I even had a woman come up to me at the gym as she was touring the facility to ask if it always smelled so bad and why I was the only woman in the building. You got me there lady! There were very few spray bottles and towels and members never wiped down their equipment - gross. The staff always seemed friendly and approachable and they offer personal training for those who are interested. One trainer reallllly loves Donald Trump and Fox News and would talk at his client about him the entire session. Every. Single. Session. Otherwise the morning and off-hours are not crowded and very quiet. In the evening the place packs out and it is very stressful trying to get on a machine or navigate the tiny space. In addition, there is a group of cross fit type guys who basically take over one of the rooms to do their group workouts and grunt and blast music and sit on the benches texting. I'm pretty sure we all pay the same monthly rate so I'm not sure why they feel entitled to host their own workouts and box everyone out. It made the space really awkward and I genuinely despised going there after work. Otherwise all the members were very respectful and people mainly just came in, hustled out their workouts, then went about their day. I was a member for almost two years but ultimately it wasn't a good fit and I left to join a different gym. Would recommend for dudes looking for a no-frills gym on a budget. read more

I have done a tour of gyms around Nashville and this one is my favorite by far. I started at the YMCA Downtown, which had a pretty facility, but it was too busy, too big, and I paid for a "key" to keep track of my workouts, but the system never worked. I moved to Go Fitness in Cummins and loved the 24-hours, but it always smelled a bit wet sock/basement-y, and was geared more for serious athletes unless you're doing personal training or group sessions. After that year ended (I barely went after a personal training session left me so sore I took two days off work), I went to the Coleman Community Center which is very small, but $30 a month. I was limited by the hours and they weren't open on Sundays. So after another four months of gaining weight, I moved to GetFit Anytime. I used the Yelp! deal without a hitch and have been every night since signing up. The busiest time was around 8p, but there was still plenty of equipment and three open treadmills. Everyone is very clean and I haven't encountered anyone "sketch" yet. All the machines are in good working order and the treadmills have built in TVs (HBO and Showtime I discovered last night) and fans with adjustable cool air flow. The weight machines are very easy to use and have clear instructions written on them so I don't look like a doofus trying to do a chest press. They have multiple membership options, so I suggest checking out their website. The door locks solidly when anyone leaves and the keychain scanner works every time. Plenty of parking, and though it may look a little dim around midnight, there is significant lighting in the parking lot once you get up there in it. read more

I've been going to GetFit Anytime for almost a year and it's a great place to workout. It has all of the essential machines and weights that you need without all of the extra stuff you don't want. I really like that there are individual tvs on each of the treadmills. There is a large selection of weights and machines and usually it's not terribly busy depending on when you go. There is an extra room attached where they have classes throughout the week and there are a couple bathrooms with showers. The price is good and the location is great. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a gym. read more

I joined Get Fit Anytime when I moved to Nashville last year and it is awesome! The equipment is in great condition, the machines are clean, and the staff super helpful! What I really appreciate about this place is how diverse the members are. This isn't your typical meathead gym, there are people with all fitness abilities who come and work on getting healthier. Its cheap. Its clean. High quality cardio machines and weights. No ruffles or frills here. Its surprisingly not terribly busy, which is key, since the Y's are known for being over-the-top busy. There's not a bunch of meatheads gawking like some places. The only thing I can think of that needs to be improved are the headphone jacks... some are loose so its really hard to get your headphones just right. The fiance wishes the TVs in the weight room could be changed to different channels... some times the big games are on channels other than ESPN. But overall, we're very happy with our membership. You have your occasional "grunters" but for the most part it's average people doing average work outs. I feel really comfortable working out here and I'm not a body builder. The management is always friendly and the equipment is in great working condition. Since it is open 24hrs, I feel I can get on piece of equipment and not have to wait. I was a member here for a few months and it's a decent gym for a good workout. It's too expensive for what it is. In one months payment there I'd be getting about two months at planet fitness and they have way more benefits and gym accessories. The cherry on top was when I requested to cancel my membership and pay for the month that I was currently in and just be done since this corona virus pandemic literally legally has me locked out of this gym. But they insisted on the 30 day notice bull that's in the contract and so I'm paying for a month that I wouldn't even be using that gym and that month hasn't even started yet. Yeah I get it it's in the contract, but you know what ISNT in the contract.... the gym being closed indefinitely.. so in my opinion that contract is no longer valid.. but I didn't even argue because I realized at that moment I wasn't joining back after the pandemic craze. If I'm going to get cheap help, then I'd rather pay for the cheap gym, Planet Fitness. GetFit Anytime... work on your customer service. Good gym. Nice staff. Open 24 hours with a good selection of machines and free weights. No contracts. The downside is it's small and it doesn't take a lot of people to become busy. Also, about 40% of the space is unusable (my opinion, your results may vary) due to industrial rubber/plastic flooring that smells like chemicals. read more

This gym has good equipment and a great location. It's no frills, reasonably priced. Like most gyms, it's fairly busy weekdays between 4pm & 6pm. Unfortunately, the management allows a group of 8-15 members to take over the only non machine workout room (pictured in their ad) most weekdays. Other members must listen to this groups i-pod selections, played loudly. No problem, just put in your earbuds right? Unfortnately no. The group cheers each other on frequently and loudly, drowning out any hope of listening to my own music and doing my own thing. Have one of your weights in their way? The group leader actually MOVED one of the weights I was using to the other side of the room to suit their space needs- When I pointed out to the group that I was using the weight, I was told "Hey- there are 15 of us and one of you- you can either join us or go to another gym" (actual response). When is Bullying ever acceptable? This is not a scheduled class, it's no class. I'm all for camaraderie but not at the expense of other paying members. Have seen a lot of members texting while sitting on a machine or bench, or standing around talking as others wait. Have complained to the gym's management twice this month about this group's seemingly sense of entitlement. After all, I pay a membership fee as well and expect to be able to work out in peace. Get Fit Response - "Sorry" (but no change). There isn't much room left for anything else unless you are just into the machines. Have not seen many members wipe down any equipment when they are done, (yuck). Machines are often broken as previously stated in other reviews, but in Fairness it appears management DOES attempt to keep them operating. Bottom line - This gym has a frat house feel to me. I've found that there are comparable gyms in close proximity that seem to be of equal value, ($35 per mo.) feel cleaner and appear to cater to more than one group. I would not recommend Get Fit Anytime to Anyone. read more

Located in 8th Ave South area of Nashville, this gym is clean, safe, and affordable. Let's not forget the 24 hour access to fit your hectic schedule! Yes, it's cheap. HOWEVER, the place is tiny, and the one tiny area of floorspace that can be used for push ups, lunges, & other is always blocked off for "personal training" during the evening. I thought I was paying to use the whole gym, but apparently you have to pay more to have access to the only bit of floor in the whole place. I won't be renewing. read more

I would have given a higher rating as I do enjoy what Get Fit anytime has to offer in terms of flexibility and smaller crowds. Where they fall short is their commitment to cleanliness. I don't know if perhaps the owners don't notice the amount of people who use their restrooms/shower rooms but you can tell they are not too keen on mopping the floors of the facilities. When you get as much foot traffic through those three bathrooms as Get Fit receives, then more attention to maintaining facility cleanliness must be maintained! Those places should be mopped at the very least once a day with the foot traffic that goes through them and those areas MAYBE see a mop once a month. If more attention to this detail is administered then I could see no other reason to not join up! Please mop the floors for the sake of your customers! read more

What I liked most about this place is that it was never too crowded. The location is not bad - I recently moved to east Nashville and live right by the Y so I'm no longer a member but I had been there since I came to Nashville. Great and friendly staff - they seem to be familiar with everyone who comes in. I'm never looking for much more than a good workout when I go to a gym so if that's all you require - this a good place for you. read more

Great little gym. I recently quit my membership, but only because my wife and 8 month old son wanted to start a membership at the YMCA (which has a nursery), so I joined up with them. 2 rooms. One dedicated to strength training, the other is mostly empty with mats and some cross training type equipment. I really enjoyed my time there. My only complaint is that it is a bit small. Small gym, often overcrowded. Typically have to wait for machines if you go in the morning or anytime between 3 PM and 10 PM. Usually there is at least piece of equipment out of order. The towels they provide to wipe down the machines are absolutely disgusting. They only seemed to be changed about once every other day or so. It's the only place I've ever felt that cleaing the equipment actually made it dirtier. Be wary of trying to cancel "at anytime" with "30 days notice." You are more likely going to pay for an extra month. But, I suppose every gym tries to bleed you dry when you cancel. The location is also not ideal. Rather dangerous after dark. Also, there is no dress code- be prepared to work out next to someone in jean shorts. For the money, Snap Fitness is a much better option. read more
