I have been a member of this gym for several years and I have nothing but good things to say about the facility, the equipment and the staff. I work out about 5 times a week so I'm there regularly. Gym is poorly managed. Management is unprofessional and upper management does not follow through on verbal commitments. As a long-term member of 8+ years, participated in PT on and off over the years. Would NOT recommend this gym. Poorly managed and not clean. read more

I tried to cancel my membership after ~5 years. I moved from Hermitage and was told my membership was not valid at the Gallatin location. I called to cancel my membership as we joined the Gallatin Civic Center which is a much better value (pools, basketball, racquetball, plus all the gym stuff). "Celine" first tells me "you are only paying $10/month" as if that has anything to do with the situation. I replied well you also charge me $39 every year to renew and when is that? No answer. Then she says you have to cancel in person. Like I want to drive an hour round trip and burn 3 gallons of gas to cancel this. Rude and unhelpful. read more

Very good machines, staff are friendly, and you can get a really good workout if you're there at the perfect time. Bad side is this gym is always really packed at the weirdest times, so I almost always have to either improvise or work out at home. Some personal trainers don't help this issue as well. I found one trainer making this lady do med ball ab workouts in the deadlift/squat rack while there is a specific spot in the gym to do those without taking up machines you're not using. I also found another personal trainer making this other lady do leg press on the assisted pullup/dip machine while the leg press machine was available. I'm not a science-based lifter by any means, I just know that a leg press machine is a leg press machine, and some people are trying to do pull ups. Besides that, this is a gym I would recommend to anybody looking to get a good workout in. read more

So I was working out getting a kick out of the exercise class being lead by a guy and a woman in an aquamarine tank top, they must have mistook my laughing as an insult because the woman gave me the finger and then the woman at the front desk gave me a hard time trying to get contact info for manager/owner she got frustrated and said you can leave, and then said that's how the world woks and then she said fuck you. I had to cancel my membership at Workout Anytime. My local one in Spring Hill, TN has really gotten poor. When I went in to cancel, I was told I had to do it online. I was supposed to receive an email with instructions. It never came. When I went back, I was given a card with instructions. It wanted my credit card info even though I had been paying by bank draft. It said I would be charged one more time on the 19th of the month, and my membership would be good through the next month on the 18th. Why? Can you say rip-off? read more

Workout Anytime has horrible professionalism. They closed the gym I went to without any notice. I've called 15-20 times and they will not close my account. They've taken money out of my account for over three years. They want me to drive 30 minutes each way to cancel in person. When you get there after work you better just hope there is someone there. Workout Anytime - Hermitage is NOT Workout ANYTIME. It's true name should be "Workout When the Door Key HAPPENS TO READ the Code on your Pass" which is intermittent, at best and capricious, at worst. No matter how many times I have asked for the key reader to be repaired or reinstalled, it STILL DOES NOT WORK. I have also asked for a new pass card with a new code (that maybe would work) and have NEVER RECEIVED THAT EITHER. TRIED TO GET IN THIS SUNDAY to no avail. Had to pound on the window to get another member's attention to open the door because the READER would NOT READ MY CODE. Recently joined because it was more convenient than my current gym. What a mistake???!!!! I was told when I signed up that they would have all new equipment as they were relocating. That isn't the case. I only went to the gym twice. I didn't like the equipment and it was so HOT in the facility I thought I would pass out. I thought I was getting the basic plan for $10 but after inquiring about the auto withdrawal at $19, was told that I chose the upgraded plan. Now, in order to cancel the plan I have to actually go to the facility as their billing is so antiquated it isn't possible any other way. Manager is cordial but offers no resolutions. I'm disappointed that Workout Anytime is just a little too far from my humble abode to be convenient. Really - for the price of around $15 a month (!!), you have access to a 24 hour gym with all the necessary equipment and a water massage bed. It's SO worth it. It's just that all of Nashville's locations.. are sort of on the outer-city limits, and I live right downtown. It's a great gym though, and the Hermitage location is brand new. The equipment is in great condition, it's never been crowded in all my visits there. With a Groupon, i was able to have a few personal training sessions with Leah, which were (exhausting) great. I have just recently joined. I have a degree in Exercise Science and Wellness and am certified as a Health Fitness Instructor through the American College of Sports Medicine. I ran fitness centers and personal training programs for many years before moving into an IT job. That said, I feel like I know a little about how a gym should be run. The first day I was there, the young man at the front desk that signed me up seemed pretty disinterested. He was polite and the place looked clean(that day). SO, I went ahead and joined. I have been back 2 times since and each time the place has seemed dirty. Not horrible in the gym area itself but it does need a good vacuuming. The layout of equipment was not professionally done as the flow follows no logical workout routine. There are 2 TRX systems setup but equipment crowded below them making them completely impossible to use. The men's locker room needs a good scrubbing. There are stains in the showers and the urinal is quite filthy. The 2nd day I went was a bit crowded and several people were working with trainers. I saw trainers use equipment in unsafe ways that it was not intended to be used multiple times. This concerns me that the trainers may not hold any respectable certifications and obviously for the welfare of their clients and potentially other clients nearby. The side room where the scales are located has a microwave propped up by an orange Home Depot bucket beside the scales. This is not necessarily a cleanliness or safety issue, it just more or less follows a theme of a place being run poorly. I have decided that, perhaps, the $25 membership that includes the hydromassage and tanning beds was a waste of money as based on the current state of cleanliness, I want to put my body on either. Maybe I have just been there on a few really bad days but thus far, I am unimpressed and likely looking to make a venue change for myself. read more

Great place to work out! I go here almost everyday with my friends and lemme tell you the staff is great here! They're always helping people out and letting them know if they're doing something wrong. Also the people here that work out are supper supportive. I've had multiple people when I'm not with my friends help spot me and it's great. Plus the pricing is really cheap not even expensive! the "management" at WOA Hermitage is anything but. The machines are in horrible shape, with gaffers tape covering rips and tears. The single rowing machine's cable is frayed to the point of breaking. The showers are overrun with mold and hair clogs the drains. When the rains come, the machines by the windows are awash in standing water that has seeped in from the large windows. What more could you ask for? read more

Positives: I absolutely LOVE my trainer Megan. The manager Leah did a great job by pairing me with her. I actually enjoy our 30 mins together, and that is an incredible feat because I HATE the gym. Always have, but I'm at the point in my life where it can't be avoided anymore. So to those of you who have what I like to call "gym anxiety"... I highly recommend spending the extra money for a personal trainer. Yes, its more expensive than my car payment, but Its made all the difference in the world for me. She's helped me get used to the equipment, learn how to workout on my own, be more comfortable in front of the body builders, and I can actually see results less than a month later. Also, the HydroMassage is AMAZING! I use it every time I work out. That thing is worth the 25 bucks alone! Negatives: I'm not very fond of the employees. A few smiles and a positive attitude go a long way. My very first day, I heard this little blonde kid that works there, actually making fun of people that didn't know how to use the equipment to another employee. Its that kind of stuff that keeps people from coming to the gym. because they don't want to be judged. I can't stand the fact that they eat dinner at the front counter either. I think its super unprofessional. I understand that they try to eat 6 meals a day... but I personally don't like smelling lemon pepper chicken with brown rice while Im on the treadmill. And there have been a few times where I can't tan during business hours because the employees have left the building and just put a sign on the door saying they would be back "later". I get the feeling that a bunch of kids run the gym. I think this place would be top notch if they hired mature, dedicated employees and implemented some basic work place educate. If it weren't for Megan and the location, I would probably try to find a more professional atmosphere to work out in. read more

This gym is decent, small, but very convenient. The fact that they are open 24/7 is their best selling point. Another great feature is the ReAct Trainer machine. If you've seen that video of Ice T's wife Coco doing her booty workout on a weird sideways rotating machine, this is the one. LOL They actually have one in this gym at this location. Yes I did try it out, but I was so embarrassed and felt uncomfortable in a room full of guys. Maybe I'll sneak back in the wee hours of the night and really get my Coco on! read more

Worst Workout Anytime I've been too! Multiple machines/equipment were broken. Even the water fountain was broken. I tried to report the problems to the staff but I only stood at the front desk for 10 mins as the guy behind the desk talked on the phone with his buddy on his cell phone, so I eventually walked away! One of the members even mentioned to me that the equipment has been broken or out of order for months. I don't recommend this location at all. read more

It's just OK because it does have good equipment and 2 showers in the women's locker. But the staff are not professional or customer service oriented. And the most disturbing thing of all is that the locker room, especially the showers are not cleaned. Since I go in before work and then get ready for work I need a place where someone cares about cleanliness. It was obvious on numerous occasions that the showers had not even been wiped down all week. I don't know how many people come through there but that is just way too nasty for me. read more
