As I have never shopped at this store in person, I cannot give an accurate review from this perspective. Online, however, I can thoroughly attest to either the predatory nature OR in the best case scenario, neglectfulness of Get Yok'd. My significant other and I have a fondness for the Raspberry Cream Ghost flavor. As it is a limited time flavor, it is quite hard to find literally anywhere. Searching online yielded few results, but a promising offer from Get Yok'd showed that they had a 12 pack of the flavor in stock on their website, and at a competitive value, no less. Naturally, I jumped at the opportunity to purchase the pack and have it delivered to my home. Please note that it is key that on their website and throughout checkout, I was actively purchasing the RASPBERRY CREAM flavored ghost. As soon as the order was placed, I checked my email for a confirmation and at a quick glance you can clearly see the image of the raspberry cream flavor that I ordered, however it is also very easy to overlook the "original" next to the image, which to my dismay I did. Upon arrival, I was both surprised and frustrated to see that the flavor we were so excited for was simply the original flavor. I immediately sent an email to the support team and waited patiently over the weekend and a couple more business days for a response. There has been no response since posting this review. Whether this is intentional on the part of Get Yok'd or simply just a misunderstanding, the evidence provided and my experience as an online customer, paired with the fact that any returns have you paying for shipping AND a 25% restocking fee has me feeling that the former is more likely. I've had bad experiences in stores before, but at the very least every store has done what a store was supposed to do in the end: give me the product I paid for. This is the only time I have ever made an account with specific intention to write a review. If you are reading this and considering buying something from Get Yolk'd online as a first time buyer, please find a different store and don't let what happened to me happen to you. read more

This place is great. The store itself is medium-sized, but their selection is huge. I come here as often as possible, and I still haven't tried everything they offer. They always have updated and new brands and are open to trying out products their customers suggest. Their customer service is amazing. Almost all the employees remember me by name and greet me when I walk in, which is really sweet and much appreciated. They also offer free in-body check-ins every Thursday (I believe) and hold small competitions throughout the year to get their customers involved; which I think is fantastic. Oh wow, where do i start, 'Get Yoked' really outdid themselves--selling me protein with a sketchy, glued-on seal and moisture damage. When I called, they assured me it was 'normal' (sure it is). Got digestive issues, called again, and suddenly they 'never spoke to me' and told me not to come back. Fantastic customer service! I don't normally do reviews but this incident is happening way too much. Glendale location went down hill. Every time I shop here I feel like I can't shop in peace. Employees constantly breathing over your shoulder and watching you like a hawk, while you're shopping. Literally right behind you. And constantly asking 100 times if you need help when you already told them 100 plus times "no thank you". I really don't understand why the employees are so freakin pushy when the customer just wants to shop or look around enjoy the experience. I've tried shopping here numerous times and it's always like this. The culture changed big time. The only person who's really chill is the girl that works there she allows you to shop at your own pace. So I give here credit we need more chill customer service like her. Honestly that used to be the old Get Yok'd chill vibe. Unfortunately, I won't be shopping here anymore. Absolutely disgraceful experience with this company. I've been a loyal customer for 7-8 years, spending my hard-earned money here, and the first time I ask for a simple exchange on a $40 item, I was treated with zero respect. I tried to resolve the issue well within reason, but due to personal circumstances I couldn't stop by sooner. When I finally reached out, first a clueless employee brushed me off, then the owner himself outright refused to help--hiding behind a "30-day policy." This isn't about a refund, it's about basic customer service and valuing long-term customers. Instead, I got arrogance, excuses, and a complete lack of accountability. Any reputable business would take care of their loyal customers--this company chose to pocket the money and show their true colors. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. After years of supporting them, I now see how little they care. If this is how they treat regulars, I can't imagine how they treat new customers. BEWARE!!!!! They erase the expiration date and repack! Cockroach leg found inside!!!!! (Pictures posted!!) I made a big purchase, 2x 5lbs whey protein, 1 cbum preworkout, 2 packs of protein bars cookie and cream (they have a deal if you purchase a whole box), 2 time release precision protein, a creatine, and they gave me a lot of small preworkout testers as well. I spent over $500! (Waste of money as amazon has it for lower price) I didnt open everything and examine in front of them as its not a common thing to do, i noticed one protein didnt have expiration date on it and the other same brand had, i didnt pay much attention as it tasted okay. Also one other time one of the proteins was missing a scoop which is alarming!! Anyways, after a couple of weeks into my preworkout i noticed a cockroach leg inside. I called the store with the sole purpose of reporting this so if there are similar cases then they can report to the brand. The manager Jesus told me that they can give me an exchange and i said okay. I drove more than 45 minutes to get to the store, some other worker, Tony, made me dump out the whole package in front of him, he saw that there were multiple legs in it, and then threw it in trash can and told me since hes not a manager I can come next day and get helped by another manager. Next day i call, another worker, Britney, said that its a Lie and that no one told me i could get a store credit. I have about 20 friends that shop from this location and we all come together to shop and i was introduced to this store by a high school friend Mattew that was a worker there too! This company was my to go to nutrition store not just was I a loyal customer to this business I would also bring all my friends and clients to purchase stuff from them as well. Today the owners rudeness and offensiveness caused me a change of heart. He posted a picture on Social media in which I follow, of an extremely offensive and disgusting image of Christ's last supper in blasphemy. When I reached out to him, he decided to take it to another level with how rude he got about it and an hour later posted another picture to add to it with himself standing in front of the offensive picture. I will not be supporting this company further, not to mention I've ordered things in the past via internet and the Protein Powder came without any kind of seal and was opened prior to being shipped out which is unacceptable, but I didn't make a big deal over it.
