One of the things you do NOT want to be when you're on your Christmas break is SICK. BUT if you're unfortunate enough to BE sick then, the next best thing is to find a good urgent care facility to go to that would be patient and compassionate enough to understand your urgent needs. Such is Hoover Urgent Care. They have only been at this location for a little over two years so the building still "smells" like new and the facility was SPOTLESS as any healthcare facility SHOULD BE. I walked in because of a persistent cough that would not go away for several days already and causing me to lose some sleep at night. I arrived there with several people ahead of me, half of whom have children under 5. I was promptly greeted at the door and my information was taken. True that I have to wait long (about an hour I think) BUT when my name was called, it took me less than 20 minutes to be seen by the doctor and get my prescription written. Dr. Bruce was attentive and the med assistant was business-like but approachable. I would like to say I will be back but you really don't want to say that when it comes to this kind of facility so let me say this: IF I ever need to make a trip to an Urgent Care again (knock on wood), I know where I will be going. read more

The sooner you arrive, the faster your service will be. I always am in & out if i got at 8am (when they open). The staff is polite & moves with urgency. read more

Wonderful group of professionals. Gave high quality service. From front desk to medical assistant and doctor 2 thumbs up.

fire Sikkelee Sharon Chan. i literally told this mf to give a specific medicine that worked previously and i told a nurse before she even showed up about the same thing. i guess nobody cares about patients wellness and requests here. so then they prescribed some new medicine that had terrible effects on my mother and didn't even work AT ALL. i couldn't be more pissed off. i went back there today and she's lucky she wasn't there or else i would've went off on her dumb ahh. hire more professional damn doctors that can listen to simple requests. also going there today i find out that person i mentioned earlier didn't even send the urine sample to the lab lol. lazy mf. next time i see you im crashing out. read more

Refused to see my daughter because I forgot my drivers license. Never been a problem before.

This was my 2nd visit I met with a Nurse Practitioner, Stephanie D. She discussed with me my allergies i told her everything i am allergic to. I also completed a form citing an allergy to penicillin. She stated she would send th my pharmacy Keflex. This idiot sent amoxicillin, which we discussed that I'm allergic to. This is extremely careless and her carelessness may have killed me. I will NEVER go there again. And in going to file a formal complaint to the licensing board. read more

Place is clean, dr is nice, wait time is reasonable. Sent prescription to the wrong pharmacy after were given address and phone number to where prescription should be sent. The pharmacy where it was "accidentally" sent to is next door to the Urgent care and is rarely opened, for instance, closed on Tuesday. Beware, if it's filled in the next door pharmacy, your insurance will not fill it anywhere else till it's canceled from there, and it's impossible to cancel when pharmacy is closed. read more

These girls are sooooo busy right now. They are still keeping smiles on their faces and getting us taken care of. Thank you Hoover Urgent Care staff! read more

Came here for chest pain that I was experiencing with accompanying back pain. The doctor thought I was having a heart attack. Wasn't the case when I got to St. John's. Everything checked fine. They don't know how to read an ekg here. This place gets 2 stars because the front desk person was caring. read more

I don't love coming here, but I do love the staff. Stars off for extremely long wait times at times, and healthcare sanitizing practices. With that said, i have 2 kids that are always having illnesses resistant to home remedies; sick and sent home or absent from school and need a quick note to get it excused, to trying every remedy I know should treat each specific condition but isn't and they end up needing something stronger. My son has asthma that is bad in certain weather, on top of some other issues that make teaching, parenting, or just plain being around him sometimes very difficult, but they're always understanding, thorough, and as fast as they can be. They are a husband/wife team and 1 other older gentleman doctor. I always get the younger male (Dr. Matti I think??) and he is fantastic. I love it here and it's so close to home. If only the process could be faster. The rooms are also a little unsanitary and dirty sometimes on busy days/times. I feel after every visit they should be sanitized. (I've walked in and they have once pulled the old paper on the table bed to new and left the room. I also have walked in before and left 4 hours later on 2 occasions. (School physical deadline time) I didn't manage pics inside because my daughter was hugging me for dear life tired and feeling ill. Next time I will share those. read more

If i could give them 0 i would i went there because my tonsils were extremely red, swollen, and discolored just for them to test me twice for strep throat as if the first negative test wasn't good enough and sent me on my way with no help just told me to take ibuprofen so i went to another urgent care for a second opinion turns out i have tonsillitis and need antibiotics won't return again. 0 stars absolutely HORRIBLE SERVICE ! read more

I came here one Monday morning in April 2012 because I'd broken out in chicken pox the night before and needed a doctor's note to explain my absence at classes and at an orchestra concert that night (Wayne State University Orchestra appearing with special guest Vanguard Voices. I was very itchy and I don't recall what we performed). Dr. Soni didn't look at my back, or neck or anywhere besides my face, but he was confident that the evenly distributed blisters were a poison ivy rash that could be treated with a prednisone shot for itch relief. "Really? You're sure it's not chicken pox? Thank you so much doctor! I'm ever so relieved I don't have to miss all my final exams and concerts, not to mention my graduation ceremony!" I suffered for another 24 hours (and exposed my illness to hundreds, if not thousands of people) before going to the campus clinic for an EDUCATED second opinion. I hate that this review came four years after the bad experience but I had trouble accessing my Yelp account. Unless that incompetent fraud is gone, along with the entire staff that enabled him and disregarded the risk of the incorrect diagnosis (and heck, it's not every day your patient waltzes in and tells you exactly what's wrong with them and that they only need a confirming note), then absolutely do not come here. I can't think of any condition they'd be competent to treat if they can't even recognize chicken pox in an unvaccinated person who'd never had it before who has a neon sign of a pox rash. read more

I walked in, saw a person going back to see the doctor, the rest of the lobby was empty. Was helped by a kind staff right away. The place was so clean. The doctor was kind, asked questions and actually listened to my answers. They called me the next day making sure I got my results of my test and asked if I had any questions. Wished me well and told me not to hesitate calling if I had any questions. Very happy with the care they gave me. read more

So today I woke up in dismay with a pounding headache and high temperature so I decided to get a covid test ASAP. Called 3 urgent cares and none of them had any covid test??? Luckily I called hoover urgent care and they gave me some great news that they actually had covid tests so I let out a sigh of relief. Once I got there It was quick and easy. Two great healthcare workers, I believe their names were Mina and Grace, gave me a nice thorough swab, and just like that I was on my way. More urgent cares need to follow in this ones footsteps. read more

I basically spent $60 to have some Doogie Howser doctor tell me I'm being a baby. Why I didn't just go to one of the two Urgent Cares in my neighborhood is beyond me. Probably because this place had such great reviews, I figured I'd receive better advice than "hot water with lemon and ibuprofen". I'm not trying to get an antibiotic if I don't need it. Hell, I don't even like taking ibuprofen unless I REALLY need it, which is like, MAYBE once or a twice a year. I don't go to the doctors unless I am feeling especially lousy, and I felt lousy enough to haul my sad ass to Warren for what I hoped would be better service than, "Oh yeah, your throat looks irritated, but nothing too crazy", i.e. what are you whining about? I'll just stick to my essential oils routine which has more or less kept me out of any doctor's office for about two years now and I am on ZERO regular medications. Ya'll can think I'm some sort of new age-y dip and that's fine. I've been doing pretty well without this kind of overpriced BS. They get one extra star because I thought the medical assistant that helped me was very nice and professional and not condescending. They also have other doctors that work out of this office, so this is purely based on my singular experience. read more

Been here twice now, once with my mother for her pre-pneumonia and today for myself to find out I have norovirus. A different doc each time but they do a thorough job. They took X-rays to diagnose the pneumonia for my mom and gave her a prescription to take care of it. I thought I was having a reaction to a new prescription from my regular doctor, but after talking to Dr. Soni, I realized that I had norovirus. For my nausea Dr. Soni gave me a shot and a prescription. I was upset after being sick for a couple of days and he really set me at ease. I felt that he understood. They took my Aetna insurance. They don't take checks, so have cash, credit, or debit and be prepared to pay up front before you are seen. Doctors and staff are very nice and the service was quick both times. I'll go there again! read more

I had to bring my brother in after work. We had to do a lot of tests. To see what was causing his symptoms. Dr Elliot was very nice and so was the entire nursing staff. It was a small wait to be seen but them we had constant care. read more

This is a walk in (no appt) urgent care. Very little wait time when I arrived - till I got into an exam room. You need to provide your insurance card + drivers license ID at check-in. Techs & Doctor asked through questions & Doc checked me out. I had a good experience - which was great since you don't feel like jumping hoops when you are sick. read more

I was exposed to COVID and needed a test ASAP. All other urgent cares were unable to help, which is concerning. Luckily, Hoover Urgent Care was stocked with COVID tests. Nurse Practitioner, Diana, and her medical assistant, Mina, were of great help. Loved it here and will definitely be coming back if needed. read more

I went today because they offer rapid covid testing. After getting checked in, I was told to drive around back for the drive thru nasal swab. I was the 2nd car in line. I watched as the tech swabed three children in front of me. She did not change gloves between patients. She wrote a name or code on each swab package and stuck it back into her pouch with unopened swabs and paperwork. It seemed to me, that there should be some type of separation between used and unused swabs. And if nothing else, at the very least change gloves between swabs. I left without being tested, I just felt their procedure was to risky. read more

This urgent care was quality and quick in service. Excellent job that the medical doctor did with mt child.

If your going in for rapid testing for COVID...they open at 8am but before you drive thru for testing you have to go inside and check-in, then they tell you to get back in your car and drive thru once your checked in. I made a mistake went early and sat in the drive thru. For them to tell me to get out of drive thru and check-in inside just to get back in the drive thru. They are pretty fast and efficient though. Goodluck! read more

Went to get a COVID test. They had all patients stuffed in the packed waiting room (mix of Covid related and non Covid related ailments... which was already soooo sketchy). I Paid $100 to get a rapid test to get same day results. They told me my result was invalid and now I have to wait 2-3 days for results.... so why didn't I receive my $100 back as I did not get a same day result (what I PAID $100 for)?? read more

7/3/18. I went to urgent care around noonish I was in and out very friendly service .Dr Danni As he was treating me he kept my nine month-year-old daughter happy and smiling. This is one of the best urgent care I always go to this one and I live in Eastpointe . read more

I was actually very disappointed especially it being my first time at this facility. I spent a good 20 minutes in the waiting room and after being called I spent another 15 minutes in a room. When finally, an assistance asked what was wrong, I was quick to tell her that I suffering back-pains, sore knees. Sadly, she didn't even take notes or asked what could it be from... So after speaking with her she flagged the "Doctor" and she came in and specifically told me that it could be my mattress.. I definitely don't recommend this place!!!!!! A waste of time and your insurance. read more

I went into the Hoover Urgent Care in Warren because I was going on vacation later that week and my regular family practitioner didn't have any openings before I left state. The staff from the receptionist to the dr on staff were fantastic. I was in and out relatively quick and my prescriptions were called in by the time I arrived to my pharmacy. read more

I've visited Hoover Urgent Care three times. Twice for ear infections (I now wear earplugs when I shower, so that's no longer a problem), and once for a swollen hand, the same problem that Tamikia of Paris had (see her review). But my experience was so different from hers that I wonder if we went to the same place. Tamikia claims her doctor was so rude that the technician who x-rayed her hand apologized for his behavior. I've visited Hoover Urgent Care three times, been seen by a different doctor each time, and all three of them were excellent. My most recent doctor explained that my swollen hand was the result of a bacterial infection, and described the treatment clearly and in detail. A doctor in a hospital couldn't have done a better job. We're lucky to have doctors of this quality in a neighborhood walk-in clinic. I suspect the hostile reviews were posted by people who hate foreigners. All the doctors at Hoover Urgent Care are from India, so if you're a racist, go somewhere else. read more

Love this urgent care! Very clean facility with wonderful staff. They took my information as soon as I walked in and I was seen promptly. Their staff was extremely kind and understanding as I am someone who fears needles, swabs, everything. They comforted me and waited until I was ready to proceed. You won't find compassion like that elsewhere. If you're looking for an urgent care that is actually urgent and filled with great staff, this is the place to go. read more

I spent more time in the waiting room than I did with the doctor. He saw me for a total of 5 minutes. All the staff at this Urgent care are uncaring and rude. Highly recommend going somewhere else unless you're trying to waste your time. :) Best of luck. read more

Came in on a Saturday morning with my daughter fearing she had an ear infection. She did, unfortunately, but the staff and the doctor are friendly and professional, the facilities are very clean, and the wait was short. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in need of urgent care. read more

I came here to be seen by a doctor for flu symptoms for myself and my family. The doctor Dr. Ali Jaber was extremely short in his answers which caused me to say "based in this poorly conducted exam I will find myself going to another urgent care just to have my questions answered". His response was "that's fine" and proceeded to walk out, while leaving I asked for his name. The no named Doctor stated he wouldn't give me his name and told me if I did not leave he would call the police. Meanwhile I had supposed prescriptions for flu symptoms being called in. I refused to leave the office manager stated she did not know his name either but would not be calling the police like she had been told to several times prior. Instead the office manager called a manager off site and was able to obtain the Doctors name and the issue is now under investigation. I have been going to this urgent care office for years and HAVE NEVER had an experience so traumatic in my life. Beware of this office! Update****** my son was told that he did not have the flu at this office. We took him to childrens hospital where he was diagnosed with the flu. What a waste of time and insurance money. I wonder if we had been seen by a real doctor now. Im so disappointed read more

Dr. Kerges has never been that helpful of a doctor, I have come to her with various weight issues and after 3 different appointments with no results, all she could said was she couldn't help me. On top of that, every time I come here, no matter how early, I always am waiting. Today my appointment was at 3 p.m. and one hour later and I still haven't seen a doctor. I have been going to this office since I was young and it pains me that I now have to find another doctor but I can't take this place anymore. read more

This has to be THE WORST URGENT CARE I have EVER been to!!!!!! First let's start off while waiting to see the doctor I hear this LOUD NOISE COMING FROM OUTSIDE THE ROOM LOOKS TO SEE ITS THE DOCTOR WATCHING TV WHILE IM WAITING FOR HIM TO COME INTO MY ROOM. Once in my room no examine and only one question asked which was "what are you here for" swollen hand and can't move my thumb. The idiot reply was oh you slept wrong or maybe it fractured????? How about look at my hand or even freaking touch it! But he did nothing but walked out the room back to his television! So now the medical assistant X-ray my hand and apologies about the doctor stating that a lot of people feel he's no help.. Now my blood pressure is up! Back to the room to wait I go. So doctor walks in says x ray is fine??? WHAT!!!! So that's all you have to say. So now he adds oh it could be sprain or a pulled... Make the long story short.. My hand was sprained as well as puled tendon in betwn my fingers. TERRIBLE URGENT CARE!!! STAY FAR AWAY read more

This is what hell probably looks like. It is such a long story about how inept the entire staff is, and the doctor was the worst. At one point I opened the door because I thought they forgot about me and one of the nurses came and almost pushed me and slammed the door, stating your door has to stay shut, I guess it makes it easier for them to forget I'm in the room. The doctor wrote me two prescriptions and when I went to fill them the pharmacist said one of the scripts is not even a medication and she had no idea what it was, scary! read more
