Signage to find the place is like looking at a needle in a haystack. They show you a guide of the types of rocks you may find but note that their color guide shows POLISHED rocks/gems. They are much harder to identify by the untrained eye. It looks like they had a few tandem loads of river rock in various sizes dumped in their front yard and charge you $10 per person. After an hour we had to get moving toward our final destination. I ended up with half a bag of $10 rocks. You will get dusty and dirty. If you go, my advice would be to have a towel to sit on, a garden shovel to help you dig down and hopefully find something of value and some gardening gloves. It was fun for a few minutes. read more
