Opening a new business I got what seemed like a flood of marketing companies calling me. Not to mention a bunch of emails that went to my spam folder. I got so many that I decided to hold off for a while and see how things panned out. It turned out to be pretty dumb mistake. I would get a little foot traffic from people that went to other stores in the center I'm in but that was it. They'd say some variation of I had no idea you were here. Incorrect Geographic Targeting: Despite multiple explicit requests to stop targeting a specific location, their team consistently optimized posts for that low-population, lower-budget market. This completely clashes with my target demographic of high-end residential clients Lack of Performance & Value: The automated backlinks and generic posts provided do not justify the $200/month fee. I have continuously had to manually log into my own Google Business Profile to correct the location targeting on your posts, meaning I am actively doing the work I am paying your agency to handle. Outdated SEO Strategy: In today's SEO environment, low-tier automated backlinks and canned posts do not carry weight or provide a return on investment for a high-ticket service business like mine. Severe Lack of Communication: The overall communication leading up to a recent phone conversation was completely unacceptable. While we just recently agreed to monthly email follow-ups to detail behind-the-scenes activity, the radio silence and lack of updates prior to that conversation left me completely in the dark regarding what I was paying for. False Sales Guarantees: During our initial sales consultation, I explicitly asked about timelines, and a representative stated that my business profile would be ranking "in the top 3" within 7 to 10 days. Their team has since repeatedly denied that this was said. I know the company records its sales lines, and I welcome them to audit the recording of that initial onboarding call. And they got some very articulate sneezy sales reps but the number one word of advice. Is if the only thing you seek is to get a paycheck and not a reputation, you'll never really become wealthy. I wouldn't ignore the other poor reviews for this company. My only interaction with them was the initial and only call that I've received from them and that told me all that I needed to know about them. They use proven social engineering scamming tactics by instantly conveying a sense of urgency or your business will be doomed without their service. First, the guy that actually called me didn't really identify the company but went right into a story about how they have an opening in my area for coveted Google Ad placement and it was being offered to me. He then asked me a loaded question about whether I would appreciate a 60% increase in business. Obviously, my answer is going to be yes just because what business owner wouldn't? At that point, he connected me to a "listing agent" that immediately started discussing pricing and throwing out a bunch of technical jargon about how the service would work for me. Salesman lied to me. He told me that they are the ones that out the Google listings in the top three positions and that he could put me in there. I worked with them for two months. I paid them $400 (which is a lot for a new small business) and I got no results. They made me a website which was horrible. It didn't have any of the things that I had asked for and it was extremely ugly. They basically just took a template and put in my company info. I do not recommend them! They called me on Friday, before my business conference started, for a google placement for my business. I informed them that I was going into a conference call and, could not talk. The supervisor Frank continued to speak over me and, would not allow me to end the call politely. I had my employees with me and did not to be rude in front of them. As soon as i hung up, they called back instantly. Within an hour and half, of ending the first call, I received 18 calls from them. All of those calls were during my conference call. I received numerous calls from this company throughout the rest of the day. I asked numerous times to taken off their company. I also received a call from their supervisor Frank today, and i informed him that i would never go through their company and, to stop calling.....Frank called me back, a few hours later, to "catch me in a better mood". I've been with Pagehub for 3 months now. It took some time but I'm glad I made the decision to go with them. It was slow going at first but honestly that was my fault. My Google listing had got suspended and I created a duplicate one. It was just a mess. When I called about this I actually got to talk to the manager Bob who was extremely knowledgeable. He explained the whole process we would need to go through with Google to get it straightened out. From that point on everything fell into place exactly how he said it would. I don't have a ton more business yet but looking at the reporting my listing is getting more views and clicks so I'm happy so far. They said they could help my business get verified of google business, they could not. I got another company to help get verified and they were able to do it in a day. They promised to get me to the top page of google, they did nothing. I wasn't too worried because they said i would get my money back if i wasnt on the top page of google in 3 months, then i found out they do not give your money back, they just stop charging you after 3 months untill your website's on the first page of google. They never get your website on the first page of google. Their tactic is to lie and say they will stop charging you but continue to work on it, then if it never gets on the first page of google, which it doesnt, they just made you pay for the sign up fee, and the 2 months of monthly fees they charged, and as far as i can tell no work was put in on their end. Used PageHub for almost a year and charged me a couple hundred a month. Could not find a contact number anywhere as I did not receive 1 lead from them in that time frame. All leads verifiably came from other sources such as Angie Leads. I cancelled the credit card just to stop payments. When they reached out I asked them what their claim of service was and said that they put in search words to help my business. The some search words did not reflect our business and when I put the search words in our business info did not appear in the search. I asked them for proof of service which they said they were unable to do. Complete scam to me and will be looking to find legal ways to retrieve back our money. read more

I was promised the world by a hustler named Tyler. I was told Pagehub would have my site on the first page of Google in 90 days or they would not charge me until I was on the first page of Google. Three months go by and I could not find my site anywhere online unless I typed in my exact URL. Pagehub was true to its word they did not charge me after the three months. Seven months passed and nothing. I had called the office several times to get an update and they always had their "special team" working on my account. I am convinced they just took $700 dollars and did absolutely nothing. I have since changed the name of my company and I have never heard a word from them. Was very hesitant to use the services because anytime I have paid for any kind of advertising Google Yelp Facebook it has not worked. They spent over 2 weeks trying to talk me into using their service, I asked a lot of questions about their promises versus what is actually written in there contract and told them that that would leave me no recourse if they did not deliver. I chose to give them a try and nothing happened to my account in the advertising promises were not met. When I addressed this issue they said they would work on it and even admitted to me that my account had not been worked on properly. When my account was put on hold By Kelly Finance, because their advertising was not met and they admitted that my account had not been worked on they just stopped communicating with me and stopped working on my account. Before placing this I sent an email letting them know how upset I have not heard back at all at all since that email in Sept. They took my money and did not deliver the top ranking positions that they had promised for 10 different keyword and phrases. At 1 point they double charged my card before and a had to get that corrected and then while on the "free" service because they did not deliver on their advertising promise they tried to bill me again and when I addressed that they still had not met their advertising promise they just stopped communicating with me after they said they would look into it. Without getting into the minutiae of how they rip people off, basically, they promise to optimize your google listing by citing your company on "tier 1" websites to help your ranking so you have a better chance of showing up on google searches in certain key worlds that apply to your industry. Well, after a few months of taking our money, we check the analytics...surprise! They hadn't done a SINGLE thing other than create a FREE google listing anyone can create on their own in 30 minutes. We stopped paying right away and when we contacted them to have our FREE listing back to manage on our own, they tried to shake me down for an additional $350. I even offered to pay a lesser amount to not go through the hassle of re-listing my company. Kelly hung up on me and they will no longer answer the phone. They also have NO GOOGLE LISTING because their reviews are so bad. Let that sink in, a business in the business of google listing doesn't have a google listing to try to hide their shady dealings.
