I reached out to Tidy LA/Meredith by recommendation of a trusted friend. Working with Meredith has had an enormous positive impact on my day-to-day life, and I notice new ways in which she's made my life easier every time I turn around. Before my first session with Meredith, I had anxiety about being judged, feeling overwhelmed, not feeling "ready" to start, and/or being compelled to buy numerous color-coded plastic containers. However, my mind was quickly placed at ease by Meredith's understanding, intuitive, and conscientious nature. She brings skill, talent, kindness, and integrity to the entire home organizing process. Meredith quickly absorbed what I needed (both in terms of my physical and mental space) and how to best achieve results while making the process productive, peaceful, and even fun. I was involved in a way that felt comfortable to me, but Meredith made everything work. Crowded furniture and box stacks and paper piles and drawers of ephemera were pulled from dust mote purgatory, exposed to air, examined and, when that inevitable midpoint "messier than when we started" state would arrive, the arc of activity in Meredith's hands would smoothly cascade toward order - reorchestrating objects and recomposing the space into something lovely, airy, and calm. As a world-class overthinker, I've covered the waterfront of on this decision. I knew I needed more than just a junk removal or moving company. I specifically wanted a senior move manager who could coordinate the sorting, donations, hauling, moving, and storage, because the thought of finding and managing all of those vendors myself was overwhelming. I found A Clear Path through the NASMM website and was immediately impressed that they were A+ Accredited. Their website also really resonated with me because they clearly understood the emotional side of hoarding and approached these situations with compassion. Mary reached out very quickly after I submitted my project details, and I was able to schedule a Zoom consultation for the next day through their online scheduling system. She was kind, responsive, and upfront that a project of this size would be costly. After our consultation, she emailed me a detailed proposal with the full price breakdown, so I knew exactly what to expect before moving forward. Communication was fast and easy over email, and everything from scheduling the consultation to paying the invoice online felt organized and streamlined. I was still really nervous on the first day because I didn't know what to expect, but Melody, Erika, and Tito arrived right at 9:00 AM and immediately got to work after I gave them a walkthrough. They were so thoughtful and reassuring, and they always checked with me about what should be kept, donated, or thrown away. They were also incredibly meticulous. They carefully combed through everything and set aside important documents, money, and sentimental belongings, including things I had not even thought to look for, like my mom's passport and my family's Social Security cards. The hauling had been estimated to take two days, but they arrived right at 7:00 AM and finished the entire job in one day! I was amazed by how quickly they worked, especially since the apartment was on the second floor and there was so much to remove. By the end of the third day, the apartment was completely emptied. Richard and his team moved everything we were keeping into storage, transported the donations, and took the remaining junk to the dump. There is absolutely no way I could have handled all of this on my own, especially while juggling work and everything else related to my mom's transition. Needless to say, our house was overwhelming: no energy or time to address anything beyond doing the bare minimum to keep our heads above squalor, way too much stuff, etc. Beyond having small children who destroy everything they touch, we are a neurodivergent household (ADHD and Autism), which is an added layer on top of just not knowing how to de-shittify the house. Ashley has two little kids herself, so understands that particular quality of chaos. She came recommended to me by another neurodivergent parent of little kids, and in our initial interviews (done over Zoom and in-person), she assured me that she could get our 3 Bed/3Bath 1,700sq condo into working order in four days. I decided to take off time from my job to work with her, because I wanted to see what she did so that I could keep it up after she was done. I so appreciated working with Ashley! She came in with a plan in her head, gave me stuff to do, got to work herself, and checked in on me every 15-20 mins like clockwork throughout the day. This was not the kind of job where we were decanting things into matching plastic containers or rolling towels in hotel folds: we were performing a major decluttering in order to free up space, and then assigning a home to all of our crap in a "good enough!" kind of way. As we strategized, we were thinking "can a 3yo do this? Can this room get cleaned up in 5 minutes?" so this was not a precious operation in the least. From seeing pictures of Ashley's other jobs, I knew she was *capable* of decanting things into matching containers, but when I told her that I was not into decanting she understood exactly what I meant and then made it happen in the cleaning process. As I write this review, it's been a month out from The Big Purge and amazingly, we've been able to keep our house clean, and it's *easier* to keep it clean. The kids are happier because they can keep their rooms neat on their own and they take pride in caring for their belongings, and now that my husband and I aren't in survival mode we are much more relaxed as well. I had a suspicion that life would be more harmonious when our crap was organized and we had far less of it, but it's been a daily gift to actually see the change in practice. Ashley is honest, non-judgmental, responsive, and busted her ass for us. She's also been wonderful about following up-- we had a list of things to take care of after she left, and she continues to keep me accountable. We're all so grateful, truly.

We decided on two days beforehand and in anticipation of all of the *stuff* we'd be clearing out, Jenn also organized a donation pickup that would come straight to our door! On the first day, Jenn arrived with her car full of storage bins.
