You know me, I'm going to check my trusty Yelp reviews FIRST. NV nails was the first to pop up...HE$& to da naw naw HE$& NO! I pulled up their reviews and it's unanimous DONT DO IT! Y'all know me, DON'T play with my money, my food or my nails! So I strolled my too cute self half mile up the block for heart health and BAM, I spotted Color Nails and Spa. I walked in and Toi immediately took me, he asked what I wanted and to work he went. I really appreciated the fact that Toi began on my nails and immediately identified the type of nails I have (the curve), he didn't start up selling me anything which was a huge plus. As Toi was working on my nails he began to explain this and that to me regarding the condition of my nails, I agreed with EVERYTHING, still NO up charge or pressuring outta what I simply came in for. Yup, my guard's where up because IT happens quite often, nail techs will say "You have a nail about to spit or your nail is lifting" before you know it a $45 walking is now $75 because of the length, color, size, width, hight, shape , shoes ect! And there's how a situation happens! Y'all know that's how they do. I wasn't paying attention to the color he chose for my toes I was catching up on my Yelp reviews but hey Toi did the damn thing on my nails! I should have gotten my brows done too....he didn't ask, ANOTHER plus! Other shops would also ask "Lip wax?" DO I LOOK LIKE I HAVE A MUSTACHE! Dh! I wouldn't recommend going earlier than 15 minutes though. We did a 60 minute Swedish couples massage. I've had massages done in my hometown and at resorts in other countries. This one was still pretty good compared to others I've had. I truly do think with any massage, you get what you pay for. Spa02's prices are way more reasonable than resort spas or others and it was still a good massage! We had two ladies, both named Tori, who were very kind! The beds we laid on weren't anything crazy like memory foam or an actual gel mat underneath BUT they did have warming pads underneath and it was SO NICE! i've never had that at any other massage. I asked for relaxation / light pressure and Tori did great at keeping with that pressure! We got warm towels on our faces & steamed towels on our backs and feet. The only thing is (and i think this was because it was only 60 minutes) I didn't have the back of my legs massaged, which is not that big of a deal, I just usually have that done at other places and didn't realize till hours later that they didn't do that. My husband says the foot rub was the best for him but I really loved the scalp / neck / shoulder massage! Everything was very clean, smelled nice, and they had a coffee / snack bar at the front. Again, I will say, anything in the Spa industry, from my experience, is you get what you pay for. If you pay $400 or more for a massage, you should expect more!
