I was referred by my primary care physician to Dr. Danya Josserand. Dr. Josserand showed me the injuries on the MRI and recommended surgery. She provided me a very detailed protocol to prepare for surgery, which I carefully followed. Surgery involved a rotator cuff repair, biceps tenodesis, with extensive debridement of the shoulder joint. After the surgery, Dr. Josserand recommended an excellent physical therapy group, with specific protocol instructions. The recovery took several months, but resulted in restored movement and no more shoulder pain. Dr. Josserand was caring, compassionate and shared her knowledge. I felt I could ask her questions and receive an easy to understand explanation of symptoms, restoration, and physiology. Office visits were on time and efficient. Her assistant was cordial and helpful when I had questions. I highly recommend Dr. Josserand!

No, I didn't have 2 sprained ankles as tbj diagnosed, I had one and the right ankle had a broken piece floating. I needed surgery. I returned to see her when I destroyed both my ankles due to wear and tear and an accident. She performed Arthrex internal brace surgery on both ankles and they are good to go back to my activities. Dr. Shelly Hogue has repaired, motivated and given me the confidence that I am healthy enough to continue my skydiving, BASE jumping at the age of 72. I was going to get 2 adjustments, an X-ray, massage, and therapy. First we had our consultation. This went fine however I could already tell his opinion was much different than both doctors I went to and the physical therapist I went to. (I was slammed on my shoulder in grappling). I now have issues with my AC joint due to swelling on the short head of my bicep. This chiro wanted to only look at my neck because he was certain the issue was due to my neck. So, we did some xrays. Not on my shoulder and not on my lower back (the two issues I went in about) only did xrays on my neck. he spent about 10 seconds looking at them and said I needed continual adjustments on my neck to fix my issues. The "therapy" was sitting on an estim unit for 12 minutes... No actual therapy. I have estim at my house I can do that whenever. We then get to the adjustments and he does my entire body which was neat. However, it ended up hurting my shoulder even more by the time I got to my car. He asked if I had sciatica and I said yes. BOOM now my sciatica is flared up still lol! My second appointment is supposed to be included in the groupon deal since we didn't do the massage or the other adjustment. My chiropractor wasn't happy with how tense my upper back (specifically my traps) were. She asked if I had ever done dry needling (I hadn't), and she recommended I check out Vitality. I've tried acupuncture before, despite my fear of needles, so I figured it would be somewhat similar and I could give it a try. It was easy to make an appointment through their website. You fill out a very detailed intake form to share your background and the reason for your visit. The first appointment was an hour long. Dr. Anders Broussard is personable, attentive, and professional. She noticed my limited range of motion when I turned my neck sideways. She did dry needling only on one side to start and showed me some exercises I could do to continue improving in between appointments. She also gave me the ball and band for me to take home. They send you an email with videos using a PhysiApp so that's helpful as a reference as well. Dry needling was definitely uncomfortable in the moment, it's an odd sensation when your muscle tenses up around the needle, but it's manageable with deep breathing and distracting conversation. Turns out the needle goes even deeper than in acupuncture. Thankfully I don't ever see the needle so I don't psych myself out. The spot was tender and sore for a couple of days but then my range of motion was SO much better! I was blown away by how much it improved. They don't take insurance, but usually they have a discount on their website (I paid $110) and they do have packages to make it more affordable. Following appointments for me are 30 mins and about $90. It is SO worth it when you see such improvement and results. Highly recommend!
