The store is a basic pawn shop for people to sell there unwanted items. There's loads of random stuff here and most of the prices are really cheap but you get what you pay for and I wouldn't count on a warranty. I wouldn't recommend it as even the second hand stuff here is sometimes overpriced to what you could pay elsewhere, but if your bored there no reason not to have a quick look.

You can't exactly miss Cash Generator as it is bright, gaudy and in your face. There is a lot of choice here and has a massive amount of electrical items for sale. I have to admit that as a fiend for electrical gadgets and the like I find myself looking in through the window with interest most weeks. The main problem I have with places like this is that they just aren't that cheap. Secondhand Televisions without a guarantee just aren't worth that much and I wouldn't be prepared to part with my hard earned cash if I didn't know I could get it back if something went wrong. For me, this is an ideas shop. You have a look, you get some ideas on something you want as a present and then you look how much it might be to buy it new, from a proper shop.

The shop window shows a profusion of products, one of which can be seen replicated all the way down City Road. It's an LED sign that reads Pizza, but I'm sure can be altered to say Kebab at the drop of a hat! The Pizza sign makes me smile, and I wonder if anybody has mistakenly entered their shop to buy a take out, and come out with their mobile phone unlocked instead? This shop is deceptively large, despite the smallish shop front, and is rammed to the rafters with gadgetry of all type and description. These guys can do anything! There's a few guys working here, but I only know the names of AIi and Gupta. Collectively I think that they could fix any dysfunctioning phone, no matter the make. But the only thing I'm really interested in these days is how much they would charge to fix the screen on a 3GS iPhone. They reckon that they can do it for £50, even if the LCD screen is leaking. I'm inclined to believe them, although I do wonder if they would be using Apple approved components...? (I recently paid £80 to get my 3GS fixed, and that was with a second user screen. I shopped around for over a month, and this is the cheapest price I could find by some margin... in the meantime, my phone was held together with cling film. That's class for you eh?).

Then I took it back, they charged me again £45 pounds, said there was something else wronged and I had to pay again upfront. I've been calling them for up to Two weeks and they Now say the part hasn't come from China, then I went back to the shop to see what was happening as the guy I spoke with was not clear on the phone, and they said they couldn't find it. Now there saying I picked it up, or I didnt ever take it there... All my info was on there and the phone was worth at least £200 so I lost all together £295 to these people. BE WARNED DO NOT TAKE YOUR Phone to these guys.... It's not only the most expensive shop on City Road, that's why I thought it was the best but these people are liars and they Stole my phone.

Occupying a corner unit provides them with two large shop windows, which face the traffic from different directions. This is particularly advantageous at this point, as the traffic lights that serve the junction are always immensely busy, thus providing Accessory World with unmatched visibility. There are a couple of other mobile phone services shops in the immediate area that offer very similar facilities and supply a commensurate range of accessories, but none enjoy the same level as exposure that Accessory World has managed to glean for itself. One of the mobile shops is actually just across the road, but the Adam and Eve Hair and Beauty Salon has managed to claim the corner unit at this side of the street, and so the mobile shop only looks out onto Albany Road. Accessory World offer a full suite of services including; mobile unlocking, mobile accessories for all makes of phone, mobile phone, iPod, PC and laptop repair. They also carry some accessories for laptops and PC's.

Like so many before me, I managed to drop my iPhone several times before the screen ultimately smashed. It was of course, only a matter of time before this was inevitably going to happen... but did I think to take out insurance to protect myself in this eventuality? Well, yes I did... But whether I got round to actually doing it is an entirely different matter! So, with the exorbitant cost of getting Apple to fix it for me, I began a quest that lasted well over a month to find a indie mobile phone shop like Sim Tech World that would do it cheaper. It ultimately cost a staggering £80.00 to get the screen replaced, but I had, in the meantime, damaged the LCD screen, making the job more expensive, (well, it was actually my neighbours cat jumping directly onto the broken screen in an attempt to catch a moth that put paid to the LCD screen in reality...) I didn't end up using Sim Tech World, but it certainly made me aware of their existence. They are seemingly a tight little business, that specialises in mobiles and home computing, including PC and Apple laptops, games consoles etc, as well as digital cameras; essentially all of your portable electronics that you can bring into the shop for attention, (thy don't do home visits). They also call themselves an 'entertainment exchange', which, as the name suggests, means that they sell second user kit as well.

There expertise can help fix mobile phone faults, problems with ipods, ipads, apple products, xbox 360s, playstations, PC's and laptops. A very useful technical fix is there mobile phone unlocking service. The Sim Tek people aim to fix the phone while you wait rather than the 28 day service most high street stores offer. If you're in a pinch and need something fixed quickly without the extra cost of sending it away to be looked at Sim Tek offer the best service around. The shop itself is very small and over cluttered, which is to be expected of a electronic repair shop the outside advertises all the different services they perform and that leaves little room to let light in, so it's a bit dingy inside.

He was great when it came to working out a contract that suited me instead of which contract was the biggest sell. I felt like I was having a real conversation and that my opinion was valued instead of just someone who was being sold to. Often, whenever I come to shops like these, that's the feeling I get but not here! He also worked out a discount with me based off place of work to knock a load off the price. If you come here and your salesman doesn't automatically do this for, be sure to ask to see the list to see if a discount is available. According to the guy who advised me, they have a massive list of different workplaces so it's worth a shot. Overall, I probably wouldn't change providers again just because of that salesman. Excellent service, a fair price after discount, and I definitely felt that my contract was what works best for me.

Sometimes I have a problem with shops because I buy my phones through the company websites, but i've never had much problem with Vodafone. I was only in the shop to get something sorted but I can't say I was drawn into looking at any of the phones and if I'd had to stay there any longer I would have had a headache.
