There's a small lot but you can park right there. It's right off of Michigan Ave so you really can't miss it but it is very small so you may not know what you're looking for. Just keep an eye out for it. They do have plenty of seats but it's not a full sit-down situation so I don't make it seem like you can bring a table of 20 in . They do have seats to sit in. There are countertops you can stand at but this is more likely a quick bite or to-go kind of situation. Even though there are people who do come in for the lunch break. But it's just basically tables and it's not a lot of frills or bells and whistles but it's still enough to have a bite to eat. The customer service is super nice and I was very taken care of and everybody was super friendly. As far as that goes that is something that has no issue . I ordered and it came pretty fast within 10 minutes so that was good. The service is quick but when I went it wasn't overly packed so that probably helped. Still it was good service and swift service as well . NY club - it was actually really good. It was very large and it got me right for lunch time for quite some time. It was put together very well and it didn't fall apart as soon as I picked it up. Turkey was warm and the sandwich was put together really well and the bacon made it pop . Cajun fries - the fries were crinkle cut and they came cajun seasoned to perfection . Would I go back? I sure would. Good customer service, solid product. Next time I go I'll probably end up getting a corned beef like I wanted to in the first place... There are plenty of options own and not just a sandwich shop... it may not be Coney Island type variety but it does have plenty of variety !

Wow, what a great find today! Local area Italian bakery/grocer/deli that offers a lot of great…read moretasting food for quick carryout along with a large deli and bakery. We tried several items and would easily get all of them again: Pizza slices - generously sized square slices $2.69/slice; crunchy crust, small cup pepperonis, not too greasy and all together a great tasting slice but could use a few more pepperonis per slice Meatball sub- GREAT sauce and meatballs, and I am picky about eating anyone else's meatballs other than my own Off the Boat Hoagie: spicy capicola and other spicy coldcuts and cheese (couldn't remember them all) baked inside an extra large soft roll, served warm. It was VERY GOOD. At first seemed like a lot of bread in proportion to deli cuts, but it was a perfect ratio given the spiciness of the coldcuts inside. Cannoli - light shell and filling, not overly sweet. Really liked that they used a dusting of chocolate powder (not bitter cocoa) on the ends vs hard chocolate chips. This has become my new favorite bakery for cannolis! Definitely coming back here to try more of their hot and cold subs and dishes like lasagna, pasties, soups and pasta. Other than those fantastic cannolis they have other delectable pastries, breads, cookies and desserts to try. They also carry specialty Italian grocery items, a large deli with a good selection of meats and cheeses and cold takeout fridges with pastas, whole pizzas and lasagna to bake at home. Very friendly staff, consistent stream of customers picking up subs, pizza slices, breads, and 3 small tables with chairs in the store to sit and enjoy the food if you can't wait until you get home.

Oh sweet Jesus, a galore of cookies and sweets. I seriously had to have a conversation with myself, No sweets Wen! Don't blow the diet now, way to many protein shakes as meal replacements and workouts for that, but jeez, the thought taunted me all night! They also have broasted chicken, salsa which I tried and was quite unique tasted like a vinaigrette type salsa, quite tasty. Actually I think I love it! They also sell quarts of homemade pasta sauce with meatballs as well as premade mostaccioli meals with meat sauce. This place has a huge meat and deli section, as well as fresh salads. The prices a bit steep. I bought some marinated chicken breast which I grilled, quite fresh and tasty. They also have all kinds of breads and regular fare of groceries. This place carries many locally made products and is a nice little place. I highly recommend stoping by to check this place out.

The kifles are so yummy!! They have a hot food section and I've eaten several items there. The ribs are always a hit. My little one likes to get a corndog from the deli. The meat counter/deli runs the entire length of the store. You can get house made sausages, and almost anything you might want for dinner. I personally love the olives and the precut cheese pieces. They make a nice snack while I'm waiting at practice. All the staples are here and a giant selection of wines as well.

A golden standard for Italian sandwiches in this neighborhood…read more Buy them by the layer... try the 18 if ya have a empty belly and want half for later haha. Grab a dmall thing of antipasta or pasta salad and a small thing of mixed olives and peppers from the salad bar. The perfect lunch. Also after going here for 39 years, i realized i can also just buy mortadella by the pound. Mortadella is hard to come by without taking a 30 minute drive so this was a late revelation for me. Walk in, stand in front of the counter, tell em what ya want, wait 2 minutes and walk to the counter with your sandwich to pay.

I can't believe the place is still here after all of these years. There are 2 types of subs here: Italian, and "Other Subs", so you know that this shop sprang from the vibrant Italian community that once populated Detroit. The Italian Subs at Gonella's are ordered according to how many layers it builds up (which I think is a unique concept). These layered Gonella Italian Subs are layered with a variety of Italian meats (Hard Salami, Salami Cotto, Mortadella, Smoked Ham and Capicola), provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions & Gonella's homemade dressing. Extras: Peppers (+.50) Cheese (+.50) - (Turkey is reserved for the "Other Subs). 6 Layers Meat, 1 Layer Cheese --- $8 8 Layers Meat, 2 Layer Cheese --- $9 12 Layers Meat, 2 Layer Cheese --- $12 14 Layers Meat, 3 Layer Cheese --- $13 18 Layers Meat, 3 Layer Cheese --- $14 The subs are heavy and delicious. The food here is really good, nice size portions and priced lower than I would have expected. I got the Rachel, AKA Carol's Temptation, and local friend, Yelper Amy B, got the Uncle Louie's BBQie, a brisket sandwich. Both of us agreed they were good hearty sandwiches that we had trouble finishing. They offered us the combo version, which gets you an individual bag of Better Made brand chips and a soft drink with free refills for $2.50. Thanks to Yelper Al P for another great local recommendation. If you're in the south part of the metro area, he knows the best value eats in the area. A solid 4 stars. So you ask? If it's so good, why not 5 stars? A few recommendations for the owners: * Take out a table. It's just too crowded. * The chairs are very uncomfortable. * Call out customer pick-up numbers once when the whole order is ready instead of once for the drink & chips and again for the sandwich. Dont make your customers have to get up twice. * Make sure the cheese is melted. Mine wasn't.

The bread was good, the meat was lean and thinly sliced, but I think we needed more punch from the sauerkraut and dressing. Still, will come back many times for years to come! Happy to have this in the area.
