I called them this morning (around 8:15) to reschedule an appointment I had for tomorrow and the woman I spoke with was very unpleasant and rude and kept sighing during the call as if I was bothering her and practically hung up on me. I know people can become desensitized as they go through their daily routine and talking to clients, but being rude is unacceptable and needs to be called out. This was disappointing, but hope this experience doesn't speak for the practice themselves.

Then they charged me an additional $95 a week after that visit for blood work, which I assumed I was charged for while I was there. This was all before I was even quoted $650-$900 for the teeth cleaning for my perfectly healthy cat. I specifically asked about a 3 year rabies vaccination, Bordetella vaccination, and DPP (distemper, parvo, parainfluenza) vaccination and no additional services. The staff member was very polite and helpful getting an appointment booked, however did not notate the vaccination request, so when my girlfriend brought my dog in she was offered every opportunity to add services to the invoice despite the previous conversation between myself and staff while making the appointment. They recommended to my girlfriend a "Lyme Vaccination Package" which is a Lyme vaccine with a booster two weeks later. This is despite the fact that my dog receives flea and tick preventative (I am aware this is not the same as a vaccine) and was not discussed while making the appointment booking. This was $105.00 They recommended a Lyme, heart worm and Ehrlichia canis blood draw. This was $77.00 They also recommended a fecal sample for Giardia despite my dog having no symptoms. This was $71.00 Fecal samples are also normally included as part of annual dog exams, which was $90 at Montgomery Animal Hospital. I understand some of these may be considered routine for regular clients, but we have never been to this vet before, and I did not ask for any of these while I made the appointment. They should not have been offered to my girlfriend even if she was acting as my agent at the appointment. Again I appreciate the staff being professional and courteous throughout every interaction, and I do not think they could be nicer people, however I am very disappointed with the breakdown of communication between the appointment booking and the time of the service.

Unfortunately, when we made the decision to end Sugar's suffering and say goodbye, Dr Nelson helped us with that difficult decision and was understanding and empathetic. I brought my dog in on Wednesday and paid $145, only to be told to put him on a bland diet. Fine. They called the next day to follow up, and I informed them that his symptoms had improved however he didn't poop . I was told to monitor him until the next day and that if the issue continued, I should bring him back -- especially since they would be closed over the weekend. The following day, I called again because nothing had changed. They told me to bring him in for a follow-up.asked if i could come right now because they were closing in an hour and again was closed on weekends I did exactly that. After the vet checked him and confirmed he was fine, I was hit with another $115 charge within 48 hours for the SAME issue. That is unreasonable and absolutely feels like a money grab. I have been to Penn Vet Hospital and other reputable clinics, and if you return within 48 hours for the same issue, you are NOT charged another initial fee. That is standard practice and basic customer service -- something this clinic clearly lacks. To make matters worse, the manager, Janelle, was combative, dismissive, and showed zero understanding or empathy. Her attitude alone would keep me from ever returning. Because of this experience, I will never return to this clinic and will strongly discourage others from going as well. Charging clients twice in 48 hours for the same issue is unacceptable, unethical, and shows where their priorities truly are -- and it's not with the animals or the owners.
