German Motors saved me when my 2014 Audi Q7 decided to act up right before smog time. The diesel particulate filter (DPF) went out and they were able to get the part in quickly so I could pass smog without dragging this out for weeks. It wasn't a cheap fix (DPF stuff never is), but they still came in noticeably lower than what Audi Henderson quoted me -- which I really appreciated. Since the repair, I've had zero issues and the check engine light has stayed off. Shoutout to Moshe for keeping me in the loop the whole time -- clear communication, no runaround. And the girl at the front desk was an absolute delight. Everyone there was genuinely nice and professional. I've been taking my car here for several years. Over the last year, their service has not been good and has been overpriced. I took my car there to have a front headlamp replaced. They charged me over $200 dollars for 15 minutes worth of work. Even the Mercedes dealership I used to take my car to wouldn't charge that. When I complained, they tell me they can give me a credit next time I come. I've lost confidence in German Motors so doubtful I'll return. read more

Moshe the manager is a lier and a scammer, just look at all his 1 star reviews on Yelp and Google. I had my car repaired and they stored in the shop for over 6 months, if they claim the ran all the tests and repaired what was needed for the car to be operated. Every time I took the car back, something happened. Went again, they told me there are other things broke down and needed to be repaired (again? when they already ran all the test before). I spent the money to repair as their request, drove the car back - 3rd time. Another issue happened again, brought the car back, they now are pushing responsibilties when they were the only shop repaired the car. Now the car is completed unoperated after I spent 15k on the repair. Do your research, don't take your car there, they will destroy it and want you to pay for their mistake. read more

After leaving this real review, the owner called and harassed me for days. This guy is a pathological liar. I honestly think 70% of what comes out his mouth is a lie. Don't go here, overpriced rip off service. Now to the review. This wasn't my only bad experience either. I just had my daughter take her Mercedes here. Oil change was less than the dealership. They inspected the car and told my daughter she needed a timing belt fix. We brought it to Mercedes and they said whoever told you the timing belt needed to be serviced was trying to rip you off. I thought that's pretty sad but I wanted a friend to review it as well who is a mechanic, he also said nothing was wrong. I would highly recommend coming here if you are trying to find a shop who won't charge you dealer prices. I had a check engine light on my Audi Q7 and the dealer told me I would need a new water pump even though I just had that replaced. German Motors was able to find a leaking vacuum hose that needed to be replaced. I got my car back the same day and it cost me literally a third of the price and the issue is gone. These guys are good. I dealt with Dave who was professional and kind, and got updates throughout the day on my car's status. Definitely will be back for my routine maintenance!! read more

I had a car that was displaying very peculiar issues. It was foreign, so I took it to German Motors and they had it back to (somewhat) normal in no time. I had an old corvette that I was working on with my father. I am a gearhead, but he was the brains behind this car. Unfortunately, dad passed, and the Corvette was left to me on my own. I couldnt fix it by myself. Eventually I got a job working at an old junkyard. On my birthday, my boss, Uncle Hank gifted me an old Yellow VW bug. I had wanted it for so many years. There was something about it that I just wanted to transform. It was the best birthday gift ever. Well, I put all of my effort into fixing this old VW B-127. Sometimes I felt like it was just looking at me; like it had a face and mind of its own. Eventually I got it running, but it had some weird issues. The radio would turn on and it was almost like it was trying to tell me something. The car would change radio channels and I wouldnt even touch the dial. The lights would come on and off, and it had this weird tendency to almost drive it's self. I would take out B on Sunday drives, and other cars would aggressively drive around me. They must have been jealous of how beautiful B was. I kept seeing this blue semi truck shouldering traffic from me just randomly. After a few months, I took it to German Motors. The staff at German Motors was so professional. Many other shops wouldnt believe me about the issues I was having with my car, but Daniel and Ramon had an idea of what was wrong. They mentioned something about a cube and a spark issue. They had B back to me within 3 days. They said it was just routine maintenance, and I would need to go somewhere that specializes in radios for the music issue. To this day, it still somehow finds music that speaks to me, especially that song Drive by The Cars. German Motors even gave me a discounted rate from what they quoted because they said the car practically fixed it's self. Fast forward a few months. I have a really cute boyfriend named Memo and we take B up to the cliffs to hang out and sometimes cliff dive. They say "the darkest nights produce the brightest stars." Well, German Motors produced a bright star in my boy B. I love this car so much now, that I will go to Cybertron and back to ride this bad boy! read more

We just had our turbo replaced in our VW and after a few days we were back on the road. We came back the next day after hearing a sound and they rectified it and fixed the problem without hesitation. UPDATE: A year and 4 months later, the part that they installed failed and was faulty. Thankfully, it was still under warranty from TechNet. I can't believe I am still dealing with the side effects of getting work done from this shop not even a year and a half later. If I could give this place 0-stars, I would - especially since I was overcharged on all fronts and the work done was very unprofessional and parts were not the quality they advertised. The only saving grace was that I didn't have to deal with German Motors during the warranty process. I wanted to like this place and be able to trust their work, I sincerely did. I've brought my car here twice now and both times left with unresolved issues. This last time my car was there for over a month because it was a "big job." After calling the service advisor Dave (bc he never called me to provide status updates) regularly and being told they are working on it (they weren't) I called the supervisor. The supervisor Moshe was helpful and responsive initially and had them to do a repair that I didn't approve in lieu of the one the repair that I did approve. And somehow this repair was magically done in less than a day. So in wanting to operate in integrity I paid for the work that was done as it did solve part of the issue but as I write this I'm still left to tackle the repair that I thought they were doing while my car was there for 5 weeks. While a discount was provided for the egregious time they held my car I still do not have full resolution. The service manager was supposed to be reaching out to the warranty company to see if the repairs were covered and get back to me and I never heard back from him. They've completely dropped the ball at this point. read more

I swear they break my car. I have spent $2/mile in repairs since I started coming here. When they give me my car back 9/10 times they have broken something else while working on it, that I discover on my way home. I spent over $7200 in repairs the last 500 miles of driving. I have it in for something (new tires+alignment). Get it back with lose steering wheel. Then fix that and return it with broken coolant system, then fix the coolant system 2 more times and then the last time I went there for an oil change (how can they fuck that up?) get it back sounding like an old Chevy and they have done something to the belts. I'm gonna sue them for all the damages and repair I have paid for that happened WHILE they had my car. 7/10 times they also don't get the initial job right, I had to come back 2-3 times per visit multiple times wasting my time and $50 on uber each time. They do not test drive the cars after repairs, I know because if they did, I wouldn't need to come 3x per visit. Don't come here, unless you want to go broke. Coming here actually ruined my life to the point where I got evicted and homeless and had to live in the car they could never fix. read more

I'm not sure where to start, but here's the gist: Unless you're a mechanic who can decode their jargon, this place might not be for you. Dan and Moesha, the owners, are not trustworthy. Dan seemed honest at first, but our agreement wasn't honored, and he stopped communicating with me. I was handed off to others who didn't understand my situation and ignored my concerns. They told me I needed a part to fix a noise, but since they couldn't order it, I had to. When I came to pick up my car, they claimed I bought the wrong part and needed to wait another week for new parts. Eventually, they said the part I bought was correct but that additional parts, which weren't making noise but were "in bad shape," were also necessary. I ended up paying far more than agreed and had to buy three extra parts I'm not sure were needed. The service took three times longer than promised. Moesha's promise to discount the second invoice was forgotten, and I was charged full price. Overall, this was a terrible experience. read more

It was easy to schedule an appointment, they were quick to service my car, and they even provided a ride to work and from work to drop off/pick up vehicle. My Audi S5 works perfect. This car do not give me any problems at all. Well I Itook my carto German Motors for a simple oil change. They conducted an inspection. They gave me some recommendations to fix. I got home parked it and as soon as I try to turn it on again to go to the shopping center by my house the car didn't turn on anymore and gave me a screen message of EPC and Battery. This is extremely suspicious to me that my car was working perfectly fine and an oil change and vehicle inspection caused problems my car didn't have at all. German Motors has destroyed my weekend dealing with a tow company to pick it up and other expenses caused by poor service or just an intentional damage done to my vehicle. I am extremely upset and I am looking for legal advice to hold them accountable for their horrible service. read more
