Traveling for work, stayed here for 2 nights and just drove the rest of the way (project was in…read moreMaine). Easy to stay, very clean rooms, airport shuttle... all good things (with exception to the single digit temperatures the area was having). Nevertheless, we didn't get any more weather (just cold) and the site visit was a success. Staffers here are welcoming and friendly. Included a breakfast buffet every morning 6-9am. Had onsite gym and indoor pool (which I did not use).

Next, we were trying to get a beer at 10:35PM tonight, Friday night, but the bar has last call at 10:30Pm and closes @11PM. SERIOUSLY!!!!! Are we now staying in kiddyville?? Next the hotel had only two out of three elevators running all day and there were high school kids going up and down the elevators like little children causing delays and crowded elevators. Then tonight after finding out the bar was closed before midnight, we go to the elevators to find another elevator is out of order with only one elevator running. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL IF YOU ARE EXPECTING LEISURE, OR IF YOU EXPECT GENERAL SERVICES (All elevators working, a bar that stays open until reasonable hours, and a true reception that is worth sitting down and relaxing with beer, or wine) THAT ARE NORMALLY OFFERED AT VIRTUALLY ALL OTHER EMBASSY SUITES. I will definitely never stay here again. It isn't worthy of the Hilton brand. Ok, had to edit again. Don't ever expect ice to be available for your breakfast time in the morning!!! Also, if you have a schedule, plan plenty in advance for your time, this place has no urgency or priority for elevators. Had to take the stairs multiple times just to get downstairs

My experience was positive from start to finish…read more I arrived on a weekday, midafternoon. There's a security gauntlet (online ID check, x-ray of bags and coats, etc.) at the main entrance to the federal building. At the consulate office itself (on the 17th floor), I was directed, in Italian, to a waiting room, which was otherwise empty; and at precisely the time of my appointment, a very gracious clerk ushered me into his office. He was welcoming and affable, processed my paperwork efficiently, and then (after another short wait) called me back into his office and presented me with the documents I needed. I had been nervous beforehand and was so grateful for his kindness. There is no parking lot, but there are garages several blocks away. The building is across the street from South Station, so taking the commuter rail or T might be the most convenient option. As another reviewer mentioned, the key is to be prepared, to have all your paperwork in hand, and not to expect an effusively friendly atmosphere. I was treated cordially and respectfully, my request was handled immediately, and my experience could not have been better.

As I tried to book my passport renewal appointment via their site, it simply stated that " no appointments were available" but didn't even provide alternative dates to book. The website is very flawed and so is their phone answering system. I have had better luck getting in touch with Spirit Airlines than the Boston consulate. Edit to state that I am Italian, speak the language and was born and raised there. Still frustrated with the lack of functionality of this system. They need to work on it.

The Good: 1) The staff were excellent throughout my stay. When I requested a late checkout, they accommodated me until 1 p.m. without hesitation, which was incredibly helpful. I also forgot my shaving cream and toothpaste, and the front desk was able to provide both items. Likewise, I had a friend of mine come and pick up a gift meant for him when I was attending the conference. The concierge made it possible for the hand over to happen smoothly. 2) The room itself was spotless and in great condition--housekeeping clearly takes pride in their work. 3) Quality of food: The food that was provided during the two evening receptions was fairly good and the wait staff who were at the event were courteous. The Not-So-Good: 1) The blackout curtains were my biggest frustration. Light bleeds in through the sides, and I was woken up early on both my first and second mornings. On the final day, I ended up barricading the curtains with the trash can and my bookbag just to keep them fully closed. For a hotel at this price point, adding velcro straps to properly seal these curtains would be a simple fix that would make a huge difference to a light sleeper like me. 2) The elevators were painfully slow--I regularly waited 3-4 minutes, which became tiresome when trying to get to conference sessions on time. 3) Last but not least, the complimentary shaving cream packets were nearly impossible to tear open. Switching to shave gel would be a nice touch. While not every guest will need it, those who do would really appreciate something better than the hard-to-open packets. Overall, the Westin Copley Place has attentive staff and clean accommodations, but some operational improvements would make it even more worthy of its premium pricing.

The bar on the main floor was nice and reasonable. The best part was the breakfast in the Bonvoy Lounge. Easily one of the best spreads I have seen.
