I used to be morbidly afraid of dentists...maybe it's…read morebecause I was a kid back then, maybe it's because my childhood dentist seemed to make everything hurt... but in contrast, Dr Abjanich has been great to work with. I'm usually not asked to wait very long, and I get all my questions answered. The one time I had a mini-emergency, I was slotted in to see him on the same day! And - I'll admit it - I also love the postcards I get in the mail every 6 months reminding me that I need to schedule my next appointment.

I've been here a few times and have been disappointed. I always feel rushed when talking to Dr…read more Abjanich - he will come in after a cleaning and look at your teeth for under 2 minutes and if you have questions, you feel as if he is doing you a favor. Office also doesn't make insurance reimbursement easy.

I'm a former patient of Dr. Weber and went to him for over a dozen years. He was always a "basics"…read moredentist- no pressure to have fancy, expensive work done if it wasn't necessary and very few modern touches (no gas available in the 2000s?!) His waiting room is bare bones and depressing. That said, he got the job done. He was friendly and workmanlike. Something definitely changed in the last 5-6 years and it seems like more than just bad work or outdated office equipment. It's almost like he stopped caring. The last few times I expressed concern with work he'd done (or was going to do) I was given brief, patronizing answers. The work itself was not good and required correcting. Add to that a robotic receptionist whose main job seems to be constantly asking you about your contact info and it's not a business I would recommend to anyone looking for good dental services in 2024. I don't mean to be unkind but this place is way past its expiration date.

I've gone to Dr Weber for a number of years now, and he's always been a pretty "laid back" dentist…read more- i.e. he doesn't try to push a lot of unnecessary dental work or procedures - which I appreciate. But the service has really gone downhill in the last year. To say the checkup and cleaning I received yesterday was "perfunctory" would be giving it more credit than it deserves. Dr Weber didn't even look at all my teeth before saying "Everything looks fine" and then halfheartedly and ineffectively scrubbing some fluoride onto my teeth. There was no "open wide", no inserting a mirror in my mouth to take a look, no probing the teeth to check for issues, no scraping them to remove plaque/tartar. I think the total time he spent in the room was 2 minutes. Again, in the past, I would've recommended Dr Weber, but I cannot in good conscience do so now. The service cannot honestly be called a checkup or a cleaning.

Dr Pramer is an amazing Dentist. I am a dentist, as well…read more He did multiple restorations in my mouth that have held up extremely well over many years. He is meticulous and highly skilled. I saw this 1-Star post from a person who, in looking at his review history, seems to have a some sort of personality disorder. YELP never verifies the allegations of reviews. They seem content to let social media attacks go unchecked. It is an irresponsible business practice, that harms professions and business owners that have to deal with difficult clients. My guess is that this particular patient had demonstrated poor oral hygiene and dietary habits that resulted in the need for more extensive dental care. But, rather than blame himself for his problems- he vindictively attacks the messenger. This is typical of narcissistic behavior. It's a sad comment on our society that YELP has given this man has a forum for his rant.

I am a recent patient of the dentist, Dr. Stephen Bowne., whom I highly recommend. To clarify, he…read moreis a dentist whose office is on Madison Avenue, NOT an oral surgeon. He solved my complicated dental issue which others were unable to do. He is fairly priced and tells you upfront the price both verbally and in writing so there is no confusion. My appointments were on time and his support staff is excellent. Dr. Bowne's concern is not only correcting one's dental problems, but also doing so in a way that looks beautiful and natural, not like an unrealistic TV ad for toothpaste. He is very responsive to all questions and approaches his work with an upbeat attitude that makes the process pleasant as well as painless. I am smiling unselfconsciously now for which I enthusiastically thank Dr. Bowne.

All I can say is that Dr. Bowne is a dentist that needs to be avoided at all costs. He performed…read moreunnecessary and expensive procedures on me which he never informed about before doing them. This doctor told me that I needed to have all of my old metal fillings replaced with the white fillings. It sounded ok to me, even though I have not had any problems with my teeth. I asked him if white fillings cost more than any other type of filling and he said no. I came back to his office and without xraying my teeth beforehand, "Dr." Bowne proceeded to yank out fillings in two of my molars. He then sanded down my teeth for the porcelain onlay he was fitting me for. He never told me that I was going to be receiving onlays, which is considered a cosmetic procedure and to which i would have never consented. First of all I grind my teeth - which should have been apparent to him had he ever actually examined my teeth beforehand - and it is not covered by insurance. I was dumbfounded but left the office to wait for my onlays to come back from the lab. Once I was home I started having severe pain in my jaw. I went back to Dr. Bowne and he told me my teeth were cracked and that I now needed two root canals. Two root canals for teeth that were previously fine! Plus, he left so little of the original tooth structure that I now really don't have much in the way of molars in that area. I asked Dr. Bowne why he performed this unnecessary procedure on me and he just turned and walked out of the room. Then I receive a bill from his office for $2,400 for the onlays. My insurance of course would not cover it as it is a cosmetic procedure. I called the office and asked for a copy of my records because I wanted to send them to an attorney, and magically they could not locate them anywhere. This man is a charlatan who only cares about making a quick buck. After all, he has a high rent to pay for a fancy 5th avenue office, and of course he has to keep himself in the latest Ferragamos. Stay away.

I saw Dr. Steinberg once, and he helped me with my problem that day, but while I was there, we…read morediscussed the possibility of my needing a bridge replaced. He quoted me $4,000, which was the right price, but he added an additional $1,200 for a temporary, which really took me aback. I've had bridgework done by three dentists other than Dr. Steinberg, and all three created temporaries on the spot, and at no extra cost, and when I mentioned that to Dr. Steinberg, he looked me right in the eye and emphatically said "I DON'T DO THAT." I know for a fact that lab work for a bridge costs $1-200, so Dr. Steinberg was going to put $1,000 in his pocket for that temporary which would have been included in the $4,000 with any other dentist I've ever visited. Dr. Steinberg may be a great dentist, but he's also a thief, so I'll never find out!

His work is impeccable, and he is very detailed and thorough. Moreover, he's a super nice funny guy with a great personality & demeanor who is pleasant to be around. He's very accommodating - I've had emergencies and he's squeezed me in last minute. He's also fixed issues I've had between appointments without charging me (due to the fact I'm a long term patient of the practice) I recently had crowns done on my two front teeth which was nerve wracking. The procedure went smoothly and my new teeth look fantastic! I thought I would need to go to some famous celebrity dentist to get that kind of work done, but he did a flawless job. Can't tell you how much that means when you are talking about your two front teeth! I'm a fan of the fact that appointment confirmations and reminders are done over text/email.
